With Sarrai'a far ahead now, Lilith cautiously led the the rest of the group through the forest at a moderate pace. Honestly, she was a little worried about Sarrai'a getting lost, but after seeing the girl turn into a werewolf, she assumed that the elf would be able to sniff her way back to the group. What Lilith was more worried about is that Sarrai'a would run into whatever was causing the woodsman trouble, and that her explosive personality would cause her to attempt to fight the thing by herself. Regardless of how Sarrai'a appeared to be, fighting on one's one was currently a big no no for Lilith...especially since she had yet to gauge anyone's abilities yet. Losing someone this fast would seriously cause trauma.

There was plenty of evidence that there was something that wasn't supposed to be here, if you knew the area. Some of the larger trees looked like they had been pushed to the ground while the smaller trees look like they had been snapped in half. Something large and ominous was in the area, and Lilith was starting to get chills. She tried not to let her uneasiness show since she was supposed to be a leader and how would the team's moral last if their leader was a weak pushover?
Lilith watches Sarrai'a dart off into the forest as if someone had thrown a toy for her to fetch. The girl certainly was a live wire, she thought while waiting for the rest of the crew to cross the log bridge. After they were all across, Lilith led them a little further into the forest at a more moderate pace.
"Oh I uh...only checked up until the river. So I'm not quite sure what the rest of the road there looks like." Lilith admitted, scratching the back of her head. "But if there is an issue, I'm sure it'll be relatively easy to route around, so I wouldn't worry about it."
Oh, I'm dumb. I read wide as rough for some stupid reason, the river's like 20 feet wide
Lilith let out a snort in response to Clover's sudden bluntness before looking back to the overly proud Drekven who was helping Sky across the bridge. The look the cloaked woman was giving him was one that she knew too well. Under the facade of innocence she could see the snake-like manipulation in her eyes, and how Drek was merely a piece of meat for her to chew up and cast aside when she no longer had use for him. Lilith honest to goodness wondered if she should do something about that but she didn't want to make a scene or God forbid give Drekven the idea that two girls were fighting over him and inflate his ego anymore. She would have to think of something so the poor guy doesn't get his heart stepped on.
Lilith smiled at they nymph's pride and resolve. She reminded her a bit of herself when she was strong willed an naive before the incident.

"Good call." Lilith cooed with a wry smile on her face. "They all appear to be loose cannons of some sort or another, so I could use someone else with a level head and knowledge of the area. I suspect a beast of some sort or another has made a territory push from it's home higher up in the mountains, and that can cause all sorts of disarray." She spoke from experience.
Lilith didn't want to hurt the child anymore, so she knew she had to be frank with her. She squatted down so she was looking up at Clover and squeezed her hands.

"Listen...I don't think you're going to like this adventure very much. You see, the guild is very old and is falling apart, and us humans aren't very good at surviving in the wilderness without shelter. We're going on this quest so we can get lumber from the woodsman so we can rebuild the guild so it doesn't collapse on us. The ceiling and beams are already giving out. Not only that, but I don't think we'll be able to talk it out with whatever is giving the woodsman and his family trouble...have you sensed the unease in the forest lately? My guess is that whatever has been causing is the one we'll have to confront."
"Sorry, I know this must be hard for you." Lilith whispered, touching back down on the ground. She led clover a little bit behind the brush. "This was part of the reason I was hesitant to take you...I once knew a water nymph, and it took her a while to come to terms with the facts that all things need to consume water to live."
Rough enough to rip off more than a couple boards
"It's fine, you're light enough."

Lilith placed the broom between her legs and waited for the nymph's small form do get behind her before slowly taking off and floating to the other side of the river.
