It could work, but it'd require a bit of nerfing. If it has the aura-stealing effect then it should be touch-based, and if he absorbs too much then there should be some downside. (Keeping with the battery theme, like what happens if you over charge something too hard.)

Cyrul grinned as he heard the speech. Destroy everything in your way or die trying? That was a mindset he could get behind, and with Cheshire Grievance at his side there was no way he was going to die trying. He watched as his new friends from yesterday were launched high into the air, drawing his weapon and unfolding it into combat mode as he knew his turn was coming up, and then suddenly he was being launched through the air at high speeds. The wind forces and time were working against him as he shifted his body and weapon, planting his feet on the backs of the two large machete-like blades of Cheshire Grievance, at an angle to the ground. He could see a spot coming up where he was pretty sure he would be landing and braced himself for impact. Five, four, three, two, one, and his blades slammed into the ground, burying themselves in the hard dirt of the pathway and stopping all of his downwards momentum, and most of the vertical. What vertical momentum remained he used to flip forward, still holding onto Cheshire Grievance as his flip pulled it out of the ground, landing on his feet in a combat ready stance before looking around... And seeing Seilbar standing just a short distance away. He grinned a bit as he made eye contact with the fox girl, waving. "Hey! Fancy meeting you here."

Grimm aren't intelligent enough to successfully masquerade as humans or faunus. Remember the Goliaths had been around for hundreds or thousands of years to gain some level of sentience. The Kitsuns grimm are more likely to have some sort of fire related power.

Shit son. Silus is more than kind of crazy. Unrelated, would people be interested in me editing the first OOC to include Grimm (Both canon and new) based on biome they would be encountered? It might be a long list considering there'd be a fair bit of crossover, but it could also be useful.

It'll probably involve some amount of fighting big ass Grimm. I don't know if it'll be quite like it was in the show, however. I do have a few potential Grimm to use that are new types though.

Parsey is definitely gonna be an amusing character at this rate. I look forward to some character development from her. And it's nice to have a more "Wiess-like" member of the cast.

Well this wasn't exactly what Cyrul had expected for a first test. In the morning they'd been woken by Glynda, who he'd discovered was a lot more strict and stern in person, and he was pretty sure he'd heard her chastising Silus and Seilbar for their... intimate sleeping situation. After that they'd eaten a very quick breakfast, not really having enough time to catch up before being ushered off to a large cliff overlooking a vast forest, each of them being guided to stand on platforms which anyone who'd attended an academy like Signal would know where designed to catapult them flying into the forest. He looked around him, seeing quite a few unfamiliar faces and some familiar ones. He considered waving to Silus and Seilbar but decided he should probably pay attention instead. Meanwhile, Ozpin began his speech. ---- Ozpin was holding his usual cup, its contents unknown to the students but it seemed to be presumably coffee. His face was as unreadable as it always was, and when he spoke his words were barely tinted with any hint of emotion. "You have trained for years to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the Emerald Forest." At that moment Glynda spoke up, her voice stern and terse as usual. "I know some of you have been hearing rumors about the assignment of teams. Let me clear that up for you. Each of you will be assigned teammates. Today." Once again Ozpin spoke up. "These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." He paused for a moment, letting that sink in for the students present. "After you have partnered up, make your way to the northern forest temple. You will meet opposition on the way. Do not hesitate to destroy anything in your path, or you will die. You will be monitored and graded based on the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. The temple contains several relics. Each pair is to collect one relic and return to the top of this cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing, and grade you appropriately. Good luck."
