Kingdom full of predators [Birdy x saku]

Beatrice/Bastard

Beatrice Liest

* A bounty hunter or assassin. You pay for it, she’ll do it. She is more commonly referred to and known as Beetle.
* 19 years old. Born under the sign of Libra. 5’6"
* Beatrice was a victim of the human trafficking that is occurring within the kingdom. She had been captured at a young age alongside her family. With luck and the sacrifice of her family, Beatrice was able to escape but she was unable to go back to her regular life. Full of grief and determination, she fought for her right to survive, eventually attracting the attention of a fellow bastard who would become her mentor on how to survive in a world that didn’t exactly want them.
* She’s skilled with most weapons and crafty. Perhaps even strong enough to stand as an equal to some of the queen’s guards.
* Preferred choice of weapon is a sword. She doesn’t have the best aim but occasionally uses daggers if her job demands it. Terrible with a bow though.

Atticus/Royals/The Brother

Atticus

* 30 year old man. Capricorn. Previously worked with underground trade. Now focused on being a healer. 6’0”.
* Nicknames include Ace and Atti. Atti was a term used lovingly by his wife but has now become a name used to mock Atticus.
* He was formerly married to a woman named Beth, whom he loved dearly. She died during child birth and he sunk into a depression.
* Atticus was once a man who was feared almost as equally as the Queen. He was no stranger to getting his hands dirty and often supported his sisters in their endeavors. He never had any lust for complete power so he never challenged his eldest sister for the throne. Instead, he merely enjoyed his position.
*Violence is long behind Atticus. After losing Beth, he had stopped partaking in such things and focused his attention to his daughter, Cleo. By doing this, he distanced himself from his siblings.
* Atticus has become the healer of the castle. He dabbles in medicine now.

Cleo/ Royals/Daughter of Ace

Cleo

* 10 year old girl. Virgo. Very small and fragile physically but not emotionally.
* As the young daughter of Atticus, Cleo grew up in a very sheltered environment. However, Cleo is a very sharp girl and catches on to things rather quickly, even if her father is blind to it. She knows there is something wicked that lives in the castle and also understands that in the past her father was apart of it.
* She’s wise for her age and due to this can be quite manipulative.
* Cleo is a blank slate despite her knowledge. She has yet to figure out where her place will be in the castle and whether she will fall in line behind her aunts.

Oliver/Warrior

Oliver Buzzell Jr.

* 20 years old. Taurus. Has been a apart of the guards for 3 years. Comes from a long and proud linage of warriors.
*Due to his family’s proud name, Oliver is often treated with high regard and respect from both peers and commoners. His family has a deep lying loyalty to the royal family.
*Oliver is rather skilled for his age. He’s been training with a sword since the age of 13. His father and older brother were his mentors.
*Oliver doesn’t agree what is happening within the kingdom but both his pride and training prevents him from rebelling.
* Despite his loyalty to the royals and the law, he tends to be a protector of the commoners (at least as much as he can be) by showing them mercy, kindness and defending them from some of his more aggressive comrades.

Dorian/Commoner

”Everyone worries about a wolf in sheep’s clothing.

Dorian Maynard

* 23 years old. Gemini. Called Dori by those closest to her. A commoner girl who dresses like a man.
*She comes from a quaint family of farmers. They live separated from the villages for the most part and have to travel in order to sell their goods. This used to be the job of her father.
*Eldest of 5 children. All boys except for her.
*Her existence is known to very few. Since her father has gotten weaker and older, Dorian has taken up the job of traveling into the village to both sell and buy for her family.
*The townspeople know her as Dorian, a quiet and mysterious young man.
*Wide knowledge of plants. Bit of a herbalist.

Faron/Commoner

Faron Starna

* 24 years old. Taurus. The son of a blacksmith.
* His father was very against the Queen from the beginning. His father’s weapons were often made for bastards or townspeople rather than guards or warriors.
* Faron sides with his father’s views when it comes to the Queen.
*The only thing holding Faron back from being openly against the Queen is the fear of how it might affect his father.
*He often secludes himself from the rest of the town except for business matters.

It’s medieval times. The kingdom is corrupted and in desperate need of a miracle. Rumors begin to circulate throughout the kingdom of a place where stars have fallen. This place is describe to be beautiful, magical, and powerful. A hidden gem that is an unearthly perfection where fallen stars have claimed their graves. It is said that the dust of the fallen stars can grant wishes. A kingdom once filled with despair suddenly finds new light in this rumor. But with every new light comes a darkness to match.

A great search for the place where the stars meet the ground begins throughout the land, stretching even beyond the borders of the kingdom. However, this has made many travelers desperate and greedy. Thieves, bandits, and other such criminals prey on the travelers. Not only them but travelers also fight each other,each afraid that the other will still the dust from them.

Our characters are apart of this grand expedition. Each have their own reasonings and motives. Allies may form, enemies will rise, and the dust will settle.

About/Rules

Hello! Thanks for checking this out. This is an idea I just recently came up with. I’m looking for a rather small group of people. Preferable 2 but willing to take 3 if 3 people are interested. I’m not very good with managing role plays that aren’t 1x1s so that’s why it’s such a small group. Anyways, here’s a few things that I’m looking for :

- Casual rpers. On average, I expect around 2 to 3 paragraphs. I understand it may be more or less at times but please no one liners ever!
- I don’t expect this rp to be very 18+ so anything that is, I recommend it be taken to PM or somewhere else.
- Be willing and able to rp males and females! It’s ok if you favor a gender more so than another (I favor females myself) but do not strictly be one gender for all of your characters.
- Multiple characters! I love having multiple characters and I will probably have a ton for this role play x3 You don’t have to nearly play as many as I do but AT LEAST 2 characters would be nice.
- Romance. Romance is good, it’s great! But pleeeeeaaasseee don’t make it the sole focus of the rp. Action, adventure, drama! There’s so much more than just romance :D

Bio:
The early years of Netta's life were relatively normal and also, perhaps, some of her best. She was born to Norman and Maria Audet, a fairly normal middle class couple. She was their first child (she would later come to have a baby brother). They treated her with love and attention but things changed when her father's company suddenly skyrocketed. They went from a stable middle class to a high class family within only a couple of years.

The wealth quickly changed her once loving family's dynamic. Her father became a business man rather than a family man and spent most of his time over seas on business trips. Her mother began having affairs with various men and often spent her money rather carelessly. It left Netta, at the age of 14, to help various nanny's care for her baby brother as the two practically grew up without parents.

Netta has come to despise wealth and her parents. As soon as she hit the age of 18, she broke off all ties with her family, got a job and an apartment of her own. Since then she had been living on her own.

Netta usually minds her own business unless she truly feels the need to intervene. She's sarcastic and a tad judgmental. Due to her parents, she's very independent and often hates to rely on others. However, she’s a very loyal and honest person once you’ve earned her trust and affection

- Tech savvy
- Can play guitar and sing, it’s a hobby of her's

- Claustrophobic (Gets panic attacks in close spaces and big crowds)

Bio:
Ellie has lived at the village all her life. She was raised at the orphanage, placed there by whom many assume to be her mother. The woman was human and dropped Ellie off at the very border of the hidden village claiming she couldn’t handle the monsters. It is assumed that Ellie is a half blooded werewolf.

Since then, Ellie was raised by nanny’s at the orphanage until she was able to live on her own. She’s been alone for most of her life since she does not let herself get attached to people very easily. However, Ellie doesn’t being alone. She longs for company, both family and friends despite holding herself back.

Trust and affection do not come easily to the werewolf. Many have pinned her as the lone wolf since she is usually seen by herself. Ellie is quiet and a bit intimidating to some.

Wolf Form

Abilities :
-Shapeshifting (Wolf form only. Forced to during full moons)
- Enhanced senses (Sight, smell, etc.)
- Heals faster than humans.

- Full Moons (Can’t control herself)

Bio:
Garret is the son of a witch and human father. Truth was, he was raised as any other normal human child until his powers began to kick in at the age of 10. When is powers took over, they were uncontrollable and it was the first time his father found out about his mother being a witch. This discovery tore the family apart. His father became jumpy and couldn’t handle the discovery of magic very well, it was slowly driving him crazy.

His mother recognized this and wiped his father’s memory of them. She took Garret to the hidden village where she had once lived. At this time, Garret was 14. They fit in nicely within the village but Garret’s mother soon sunk into a depression. She still hasn’t recovered from it.

Garret tries to act like nothing bothers him. He doesn’t want to burden anyone and he prefers it when people rely on him. He wants to be a stronger person in many ways, with his magic, emotionally, and physically. Due to this, he’s a hard worker when he commits to something. It’s hard to get him to give up.

Garret has actually become a bit popular within the village. Some people view him as rather cool, even though he doesn’t really understand why. However, he pales in comparison to his close friend Ethan (whom I will be making a character sheet for soon enough).

Abilities :
- Potion Making (He’s extremely talented in potions and has begun to try recipes of his own)
- Sports (He’s rather sporty as he finds they’re entertaining as well as a good way to keep in shape.)

Weaknesses :
- Spell casting (Since he's only half wizard, his spells are usually weak or don’t work in general.)
- Hand to hand combat (Despite being fit, he sucks at actually fighting.)

Bio:
Felix was born to an average family. He was the youngest of the three Wisner children. His two older siblings, Brittany Wisner and John Wisner, were very successful children. Felix constantly grew up in their shadows. Brittany went on to college to become a doctor while John is currently studying at a top university to become an engineer.

Felix, on the other hand, has just recently graduated high school with no intention of attending college. His parents are constantly pressuring him to attend some from of higher education but Felix constantly refuses. His goal is to open up a small restaurant in town since he enjoys cooking but he often seems to lack motivation. Whenever his parents question why he doesn’t go to culinary school he merely states, “it’s just a dream and it’s ok if it doesn’t come true. That’s reality after all”. He works at a small diner for now and seems rather content with life.

Felix is a very mellow and relaxed person. He hates to trouble people with his own issues so he often doesn’t talk much about himself. That being said, he’s an excellent listener and ready to help. Felix is a bit pessimistic but only towards himself since he feels he can never escape the shadows of his older siblings. Due to this, he has lowered his own expectations for himself and has tried to make a comfortable life in the shadows of the siblings he considers to be superior.

Abilities:
- Excellent cook (He practices his own recipes in his spare time)
- Listening (Has a good listener aura to him that makes him come off as rather trustworthy.)

Weaknesses:
- His Future (He tries to avoid talking about it at all cost.)
- Clumsy (For someone who is so good at cooking, he’s broken more glass plates than he can count. He’s switched to purely plastic since)

Bio:
Karee has been alive for over a 100 years. Back when she was much younger, she lived in a small village in Japan. Along with her mother and several sisters(both biologically and not), the small clan of kitsunes were the guardians in the shadows for the village. They lived among the humans and were thought to be humans.

However, things took a foul turn when invaders attacked the village. The kitsune family easily defeated them but some of the villagers had witnessed the powers that they held. They eventually turned on their guardians. It was a slaughter and Karee was the only survivor. She traveled for many years until she finally discovered the hidden village. Deciding she wanted little to do with humans, she made her home there. Karee now runs a small flower shop, where she grows plant for things such as potions, healing, and so on.

She never talks about her past, the incident especially. Karee has closed herself off from the world for a very long time now. There is never a day without a smile on her face, no matter how fake it may be. She treats everyone with kindness and usually keeps a friendly aura to her but this is just an illusion. Karee believes that "It's important to keep smiling and acting friendly. People don't ask as many questions that way."

Fox Form

Abilities:
- Shapeshifting (Into Fox above and Human Form only)
- Magical Power (Her magic is all based around the element of Fire)
- Possession (She can possess people. Usually this only applies to humans)
- Enhanced Speed and Stamina (This also makes her more agile than more humans)

Weaknesses:
- Magic Limit (Using her magic is limited. It wears her out rather quickly and can sometimes back fire)
- Fire (She seems to have an unnatural fear of fire despite her magic being fire magic)
- Easily wounded (She may be a kitsune but they are just as easy to harm as humans.)

Katie grew up in a very broken home. She lived (still lives) like a prisoner under her father’s harsh rule. He’s abusive, both emotionally and physically. It wasn’t always this way though. There was a brief time of peacefulness and ignorance until she reached the age of 9. Her mother had been protecting her for a very long time and hid the truth of her father’s behavior from her.

However, her mother finally cracked when Katie reached the age of 9. Her mother couldn’t take it anymore so she took off one night and never came back. All she left Kathryn was a small note saying how sorry she was that she couldn’t save her too and that was the last time she ever heard from her mother.

After that, her father directed his violence towards Katie. Since then, she was trapped by her father. She’s a very meek and timid girl, afraid to get in trouble she always hides away her pain from the public eye. Naturally, she hates her father with a passion but her fear out weighs her hate so she merely tries to stay on the best terms she can with him.

Katie longs for the day when she can finally escape from her father. She has big dreams of traveling all around and seeing all that she can.

Abilities:
- Healing (Due to her own circumstances, she’s become rather familiar with treating small wounds and even illnesses.)

Weaknesses:
-Her father (Even if she isn’t near him physically, he will always be her biggest demon)

Age: Unknown. Appears to be in early 20s.
Bio:
Nathaniel is a Cardcastor. Some would make the comparison of a cardcastor to a demon since his kind (though they are few) were creations by an unknown trickster god. Their power is known to cause chaos and comes in many different forms. For Ethan, his power is based around card tricks earning him the title of cardcastor.

Ethan has been around for many centuries. In his early days, his sole purpose was to cause trouble for the human race. He viewed them to be lower than him, like animals. In other words, human’s were nothing more than play things to him. That is, until he met a young maiden named Rose Edwards. At first, she merely intrigued him by her own ability to foil his tricks but over time the two fell in love. They had a happy life together and Ethan’s view on humans, perhaps even the world in general, changed. They eventually married and had two children, a boy and a girl.

The only thing that got in the way of their happiness, was Ethan’s immortality. His wife and children both aged like normal humans but Nathaniel remained the same. Eventually, his wife died, and with time, so did their children. Ethan fell into a depression but he could never bring himself to end his own life.

The card castor secluded himself from the human world and began to live out on his own. Eventually he was drawn to the village during the early days of it’s arrival. He helped put the village together before making it his permanent home.

Ethan has built a rather good reputation for himself amongst the society of the super natural. While he is still prone to his tricks, they’ve found him to be a contributive and reliable member during times of hardship within the village. Ethan often comes off as arrogant, childish and a bit of a flirt. However, he has another side to him that comes off as much more cool, calculating and sly.

Recently, he has become a rather good friend of Garret. The two make for a rather odd but strong duo.

Abilities:
- Card Based Magic (While the magic is made for tricks, Ethan has developed it into a style that can also be used to fight with)
- Semi-Immortality (He isn’t completely indestructible but he is unaffected by illnesses and most wounds. There are only 2 ways to kill him)

Weaknesses:
- Fire (Being burned alive will kill the castor.)
- Beheading (Cutting off his head is also a way to kill him.)
- Technology (He can’t keep up)

Species:Ice Phoenix
Age: Appears around 18. Has been around for centuries.
Bio:
Nola is an ice phoenix, the natural enemy of the regular fire phoenix. Their magic and natural dislike is the only thing that makes the two phoenix’s enemies. They are otherwise the same.

She was created a long time ago. Originally, Nola was the familiar of a powerful wizard. At the time, she didn’t have a human form and acted as an ordinary pet. Over time, her power grew as she was reborn many times and she was able to develop a human form. Once she was human, she began to study under the wizard that owned her. Nola learned a great deal under his guidance, such as reading, writing, fighting and more.

However, as Nola became more aware of the world as a human rather than a magic bird, she realized that her owner was someone who abused his powers for his own benefit. Many people feared him and his power, since they knew he wasn’t afraid to use it on them. When Nola confronted him about it, the wizard turned on her, claiming a pet shouldn’t be asking questions. The two ended up fighting and Nola ended up killing the wizard who was once the closest thing she had to a family. She fled from her home after that incident and traveled alone for many years. Eventually she decided to settle down in the village though she still occasionally leaves to go out into the human world.

Over the years, she developed a love for humans. She seems to hold a certain respect for their kind but she usually keeps herself at a distance from them, afraid she might cause them trouble somehow. Nola is an optimist and prefers to keep moving forward rather than dwelling on the past. She’s a very open person, often wearing her heart on her sleeve. Due to this, she often comes off as weaker than she actually is. In a fight, she is actually a formidable foe and can be quite scary.

Bird Form

Abilities:
- Ice Magic (All her magic is ice based and does not go beyond this power.)
- Shapeshifting (Human form and Bird form only.)
- Immortality (It’s unknown what would actually kill her for good.)

Weaknesses:
- Being Reborn (While Nola doesn’t die for good, she does shatter into un-melting ice shards when does die (by illness, injury, etc). Eventually she will rise again from the shards but as a child. She is stuck in this child state until her magic and body fully recover from the death she went through)
- Heat (Heat weakens her greatly. She often feels ill in hot weather and isn’t able to perform most of her magic.)
- Equal or Greater Powers (Nola believes the only thing that can kill her for good is power that is equal to hers [such as the power of a fire phoenix] or something much, much greater.)
- Memory (When she is reborn, sometimes she loses memories of what happened in her life. Because of this, Nola keeps a journal of memories she doesn’t want to forget)

Another Search Begins :3 (MxF)

Hello! So time has come for me to begin looking for a few rps. Soooo here’s what you need to know :

-I mainly role-play females as leads but have no issue in doubling.
-I love roleplaying multiple characters. I just think it makes things more unpredictable and interesting. It’s not a requirement though!
-I'm around a middle to high casual role-player. I can at least guarantee 3 paragraphs on average.
-I'm into a lot of different themes. From medieval, sci-fi, steampunk, etc.
- I like the occasional mature themes. I don't do smut though. Gotta fade to black or something when it comes to bedroom scenes. (18+ of course)
-I enjoy adding a little bit of romance to all my rps.

Alrighty! Since that’s out of the way, here are a few ideas that I’d be up for rping at them moment.

Best friend x Best Friend

1. The two have been friends since childhood. They’re around the age of 21 when one of them decides to go off to war. The two are separated for a long time and when the friend returns from war, they are handicapped in some way (either mentally or physically). And we can plan out a little bit more as we go.

2. The two are friends from high school. They’re an odd pair, one is super social and seemingly always happy while the other is quiet and usually keeps to themselves. The two are now attending college but it’s putting a bit of stress on their friendship as they are in different majors, meeting new people, and a bunch of other issues we can create along the way.

I don’t really have any other ideas at the moment but I’m willing to try anything!

Anything in medieval times, apocalyptic, fantasy and some scifi all usually appeal to me. I love adventure rps too! :D
