Bio: Charlie Cannan was born in Sydney, Australia to a single woman. Charlie's mother had met a Canadian tourist and had a whirlwind fling that ended when the man had to return to Canada. Nine months later Charlie was born. She grew up as a bit of tomboy, preferring to hang out with the boys, getting into fights and other childish trouble. Charlie's mother worked very hard to support the both of them, but was eventually laid low by sickness. Suddenly it was Charlie that was taking care of her mother. The women grew sicker and sicker and finally, on her death bed, she told Charlie about her Father. All she was given an old photograph of a handsome looking man with a first name and an inscription on the back. After her mother's funeral, Charlie departed for Toronto, Canada, where she had been told her Father was from.
While she sat in her economy seat at 30,000 feet the world below her went to hell. When her plane reached Toronto they found the airport closed and, without enough fuel to reach another open airport, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing. It was really more of a crash, and those who survived found themselves in the middle of an apocalypse. Charlie and the other survivors banded together for the first few months and set themselves up inside a church. It was secure and they were able to get out scavenge weapons and supplies. During these months, Charlie became quite efficient in the use of firearms, but she was never able to just let herself become a part of the group. The picture in her pack was always on her mind and eventually she knew it was time for her to move on. After collecting some basic supplies and weapons, Charlie left for Toronto, hoping to find the last family she has in the world.
