Hey guys how's everyone doing toni-- *sees recent IC post* Oh my god my eyes
Zircon listened and thought about what Bloodstone said, and he had a lot to say. She didn't look up at him, but she listened. She thought more about the part where he said it wasn't anyone's fault, and that anyone else would have also died trying. Zircon supposes this was valid; but even though it was no one's fault could nothing really be done? From Bloodstone's words Zircon kept close in mind where if any of them had tried to take on the thing that attacked they would have died, yet mixed with that thought Zircon couldn't help but think...maybe Zircon wouldn't have minded just to try. Maybe it sounds stupid or maybe it doesn't, yet...just trying... Although if Bloodstone would be right on the death part and Aquamarine feeling guilty...well obviously that wouldn't be good...and would be more unwanted...

But what if-

Maybe if-

Is there really-

What about-

Sigh. Too many thoughts, too little connections.

Zircon finally looked up when Amber stormed out; it seemed like a lot of people had left or were leaving. Zircon sniffled and wiped the tears away with her sleeve only for them to reform in her eyes by a little bit. Zircon also finally stands up; like the others did, Zircon considered on taking her leave as well. However she didn't really want to leave the area due to not wanting to leave anyone else around her on their own. But, Zircon felt the need to get all of this FEELS emotion out of her head so she decided to just make it quick and come back soon. Zircon felt kind of a little bad for leaving even if it was brief, but she didn't want to take the risk of bottling it in. Zircon didn't even plan to go far. Zircon looked to Bloodstone who just slammed onto the ground, who also seemed distressed about the whole thing not just about what happened but from what seems to be having no luck with trying to get the gems to feel better. Zircon wiped her eyes once more and started to take her leave by walking past him, "Thanks for the effort though.." she mumbled. She meant it when she said that. As far as Zircon knew it did seem like he was trying. Well, with everything going on in her head Zircon was sort of half-listening to whatever was being said. But judging that there was a lot to say from him, it seemed what he was trying to do was legit. That's...how it works right?

With the couple or few minutes of tension releasing she gave herself, Zircon paced back and forth at the front of the temple near the bottom of the stairs. She may have punched the wall a couple--no, actually few--times out of you know, frustration, anger, melancholy, et cetera. Zircon slowly wipes her face and exhales before heading back up when she thinks done. There was probably still more to release, but she was trying to stay committed to her self-given deadline. Before reaching the top of the stairs she heard this...erm...noise...echoing...distortion...noise...that startled Zircon enough to make her jump and make her arms spazz around until they stop in some goofy-looking pose while holding one knee up in the air as well. Zircon froze in that awkward pose for a few seconds and blinked. What was that? It almost sounded similar to something else, but Zircon didn't take the time to remember what that something else was as she hurried over to the main area where she previously was. Aqua's back. Oh thank god she's alright. Well, sort of. Her gem was cracked, that started to get Zircon worried. But at least she was alive. As for the cracked gem problem though, Zircon watched Bloodstone take out some vial of water and giving a drop to Aqua's gem which heals it right up. With this coming from Bloodstone, Zircon was surprised. He saved them from a giant monster thing, tried to comfort everyone, and then heals Aqua's gem. That's three nice things! This is coming from the bad guy! Zircon's view on Bloodstone now is...kind of confused. Is this real or is this a trap that'll be rewarding to him in the future? Whatever the case, what he did is what he really did. Zircon watched Bloodstone walk towards the warp pad, and takes notice when she sees him look back at them. Zircon's head slightly perks as she blinks and then looks to the side; should she say something? Give a little gesture? Without knowing what words to use Zircon slowly looks back to Bloodstone and slowly nods to him, sometimes her silent way of saying thanks. After that she hurried up towards Aqua and Spinel. She still doesn't trust Bloodstone, but he has her little respect for the things he has done for them.
((A very tired Liz wrote this if something is wrong with this please tell me))
Lana was leaned forward while sitting cross-legged, one elbow resting on on her knee and her hand holding her face, as she watched the fight--er, technically a spar--between Hakai and Seika. There were points where Lana was watching every detail and there were other points where she would slightly doze off. Not because the match was boring or anything, no no. It's what Lana usually does when watching fights, usually without knowing it. Or maybe when watching anything in general. Either way, she wasn't dozing off that much for this one. When the sparring came to an end Lana claps lightly for the performance, a Lana-thing she usually does once in a while to be polite. Lana looked towards Hokuto as she asked her something making Lana sit up straight and laugh a bit, "Nah man you're starving. My hair's the same as ever," Lana smoothly ran a hand on her hair on the side of her head. Lana chuckled a little bit more, "Eat up dude. Didn't you just get a ton of food?" Lana refers to the bento from Seika and the small bag of candy from Lana herself given earlier to Hokuto.
When Zircon made it to the warp pad she would stop and wait to make sure everyone got on before she would get on herself, purposely making herself last to get on. She had almost missed, not even realized, Emerald passed out on the ground. Everything around her had been so distracting she almost didn't see him completely. Zircon would have gone up and carried him to the warp pad, but by the time she realized that Emerald was even passed out Spinel was already taking care of it. Once they arrive at their temple home Zircon slowly steps off the warp pad, looking downward. Obviously, and of course, there was still shock in her but also mixed with sorrow. Zircon slowly took a few more steps away from the warp pad before just standing there with a hand slipped underneath her hair to her forehead in distress, her gaze still downward and her other hand to her hip. At a time like this, with as much thoughts racing around her head as it is, she couldn't help but think. Could she have done something? Would that have changed anything? She was ready. She reacted, she got in a stance, was ready to get her weapon out, and for what? She just had to freeze up. In the end the only thing she did was...nothing. That whole past month of training and constantly telling herself how and what to do when things exactly like that go down around her friends, did that month seriously just go to waste? If Zircon could have done something back there, what kind of comrade would that make her?

Slowly, Zircon could feel her eyes burning. She disregarded it but she couldn't help it as her vision would soon be not only the ground, which she was already looking at, but an overwhelming watery vision of it. Zircon kept it in for awhile, but it probably wasn't going to be that way for long. She wasn't looking at anyone's faces, but she could hear that Bloodstone was here when he said something. She was surprised that he followed them there, but not enough to overcome what she, and maybe everyone else, was feeling now. Zircon also remained silent on Bloodstone's offer of history lessons; even if all of this weren't happening Zircon didn't care about history. Instead, she wanted to go comfort the crying Spinel. It's...what everyone needs now. Supportive gestures, and all. It was only after when Zircon finally looked up and letting her hands drop and took only half a step when Spinel hurried to her room however. Zircon will respect her alone time, if that's what she's going for. Zircon looked downward again before allowing her bottom to thud on the ground, now sitting down with her feet flat on the ground and an arm resting across her knees. Thinking about the tragedy in general and constantly questioning herself if she could have done something like she wanted to, where she thinks it ties in with her loyalty, her vision grew more watery to the point where she felt like it could burst any second. Zircon brought her other arm up to rest across her knees that would cover her eyes only slightly. It was after a blink when the tears were silently released as they flowed down. Zircon didn't make any sound. She looked a little more downward and bit her lip before slowly running a hand through her hair. She balled the hand that was in her hair, and then it transitioned into an almost shaking fist. And for now, Zircon just sat there. Silently crying.
Lana gave herself another Astral Pulse for one last boost except this time it was aimed towards below her, making her leap off the roof and to the ground. When the training grounds came into her sight she made a final sprint and when she skidded to a stop when she made it, then stuffing her hands in her pockets casually. Lana was the last one there to her slight surprise. She thought would at least be second to last, but no biggie. As thought earlier she didn't care whether she won or not. Was mostly all for the fun, right? She was just in time for the first battle to start anyway. Lana slowly paced around the sidelines of the battle before plopping her bottom to the ground, taking a seat beside Hokuto and officially becoming the battle's spectator.
Upon arrival at the Kindergarten Zircon landed on the warp pad, almost losing her balance for a second. By the looks of it seems like people were already starting to wander their own ways, so Zircon started to slowly pace around herself while looking at the new scenery. She didn't go too far from anyone. But it was real soon--literally, real, soon--when something fast and unwanted started to happen. As Zircon felt the ground beneath her shake it's only natural for her by now to react by putting her right foot in front of her and bending her knees into a fighting-like stance while bringing her right hand beside her gem on her left hip, ready to 'draw' her weapon when or if needed. Everything happened way too fast though. With the appearance of some giant monster thing some blows were exchanged, but the biggest blows of all was the poofing of Aquamarine and the shattering of Howlite's gem. If Zircon had a heart she would feel it sink like a fast-dropping elevator, and it would weigh a ton. There was no hiding Zircon's shock; wide eyes, half-open mouth and everything. Zircon cussed under her breath at the situation before gritting her teeth slightly. Zircon wanted to move. She just wanted to move and do something. Especially put up a fight of some sort to this...thing...monster...whatever it is. But someone else just took up the job of putting up a fight. Bloodstone. What? Bloodstone? The supposed bad guy Bloodstone? Why? When? While watching Bloodstone beat down the creature, the shock on Zircon's face was still visible. Except her jaw isn't as dropped, widened eyes still active though. And with that the beast goes down by the hands of Bloodstone. Quite the performance. When he gave Aquamarine's gem and Howlite's gem shards to Spinel, Zircon slowly stood up straight to cease her stance and putting her hand down as well. Zircon slightly narrows her eyes when Bloodstone gives orders to go home; her suspicions rose. But this was not the time to be picking quarrels. That, and there's no reason to. Glancing at the others back and forth, Zircon remained silent. She slowly walked backwards heading toward the warp pad keeping her eyes on Bloodstone; her head was facing down but her eyes were on him only for a brief while. Zircon spoke under her breath very softly, a 'thanks' towards Bloodstone since he did save them, but it was so softly spoken it was probably audible only to herself and no one else. So as far anyone else knew, Zircon was silent.
Lana smiled and chuckled a little bit when seeing Hokuto's funny little pose. It was good to see someone satisfied. Just then a surprise race was started by Seika himself when he rushed up to the roofs making his way towards the destination. Lana kind of took her time and stretched her arms and neck a bit before starting herself. She didn't really care if she won or not; she could be the most patient person in the world if she wanted to so she really she could just wait for her spar to come up. Soon Lana leaped up to a roof and dashed off in the direction of the race. Lana sees Hokuto use one of her jutsus to speed up, "Oh. No rules. AWESOME." Lana snickers before making a couple handsigns and then swinging them straight out behind her, with her palms facing away from her, and then using Astral Pulse--which really just sends out a big or small, in this case small, pulse of astral energy--giving Lana a little boost. It made her jump just an inch or so off the ground for a split second but she managed to refind her footing to keep running when she catches up with Hakai, and Koi who was sort of somewhat being dragged by him.
"Ahhh well that's just no good now is it?" Lana responded to Hokuto and reached into her back pocket and turned her head to watch where her hand was going. Lana then pulled out a small bag of candy and offered it to Hokuto by holding it out towards her. It was all she had on her currently, but she still offered it and she probably wasn't going to have it soon anyway. Didn't feel like it. Hokuto can have that, and half of Seika's melon bread that he just offered. Niiice. Speaking of Seika, Lana listened to Seika talk to see what he wanted to say. After hearing an offer to go to the training grounds that seems to be directed to the group, Lana nodded, "Yea sure I'll come along. Probably won't be doing anything later anyway," Lana said as she stretched her arms a bit and making a snicker that only lasted a second or two.
A month. That's the amount of time of how long has passed, already. This month had felt like it had gone by so fast. At the same time it felt like it even felt like it had been longer than a month, but Zircon wouldn't know what longer than a month feels like, would she? Although, this 'Halloween' thing was coming up soon. Whether Zircon was interested in it or not, she didn't know yet. Well it does sound nice, but it's still something to debate about to herself. Although she should probably learn more about it before she even decides to like it or not.

Before getting up from the ground--for some reason Zircon likes to lie on the ground no matter how hard it may be or feel--where she was lying on around wherever everyone is, she rolls on the ground towards the warp pad for about the third of the way before actually getting up and walking over there. Zircon followed the others' actions and stepped on the warp pad. Zircon thought to herself for a few seconds and followed up on Spinel's question, "And if it does take long, how long are we thinking?" Zircon merely asked out of curiosity. Zircon remembered back to the feeling of impatience when it occurred a couple more times throughout the month. Only over little things though, no big deal or commotion. Luckily she tries to keep it all in her head. She wasn't feeling impatient, she thinks so at least. The only reason she thinks of it now is because she really hates it when she, herself, gets all testy like that. Zircon also became slightly cautious-slash-concerned if her question came off as impatient. Right now, Zircon just doesn't want it to get in the way or let alone, don't jinx it, let it let her comrades down because of her. Easy, Zircon. Easy.
