Bio
Do you think me a fool to shed light on my past, present and future so easily to strangers, you miserable Midgardians? Not even my brother - blundering oaf that he is and more importantly, not blood-related, thank the Allfather for that small mercy - knows everything I have done.
And these few words are all I shall grant to sate your thirst for the unknown. Now if you would excuse me, I have to destroy Jotunheim...again. Because some pests simply REFUSE to surrender and remain dead. Sounds familiar, doesn't it?
@Weird TalesWould you mind checking out the character I've just posted in the character thread? I think I might need to add more but I'm not too sure what.
@TheUnknowableAh ok, I see now. And I assume the equipment currently stated is like the starting inventory you have after a tutorial in an RPG (not a very apt comparison, but if you get what I mean)?
Appearance: Eye color: Dull amber (Glowing when in Vampire Lord form) Hair color: Snow white Height: 165cm Weight: 51kg Description/Clothing/Appearance: She wears form fitting, long-sleeved, blood red woollen gown with slit on the left side to allow more movement freedom, leather armguards. Armoured boots shaped like delicate shoes on her feet. She wears her straight hair loose with a braid that goes around her head like a wreath with silver chains running through it. Oval face with a sharp chin, straight nose, thin lips and pale complexion. In Vampire Lord form, she looks the same, except with sharpened teeth, lengthened incisors, glowing eyes and deathly white (although not clammy-looking) skin. Large white bat wings grow out of her back and her fingers become claws.
Magic: • Umbrakinesis (Dark Arcane magic): Due to the blood flowing through her veins, Azazel has absolute control over shadows. She can also manipulate people by controlling their shadows, shadow travel, blend into the darkness to become invisible as long as she is in dark places and is able to see through shadows.
Techniques: Night empowerment: Is stronger at night or in dark places • Mist form: When in Vampire Lord form, she can turn into a cloud of mist to replenish stamina used for 15 seconds at a time. She can only use it in ten minute intervals and is invulnerable in this state. However, she cannot attack when in mist form. • When in Vampire Lord form, she can drain life through contact - which can replenish her health and stamina but in accordance with the amount she drains from the person/being - , use umbrakinetic powers and summon two gargoyles at a time, but she cannot wield any weapons, leaving only her claws for close combat. The gargooyles can range from 2-3 metres and are basically animated stone stautes, albeit a lot tougher than your average statues. The summons cannot use magic. They can only fly, claw, hit and squash things to death.
Skills: Azazel is skilled with the used of blades, preferably daggers and shortswords that she dual-wields. While longer sword poses no problem to her swordsmanship, she needs two hands to wield it and finds it rather restricting, thus her avoidance of it. She can cook a mean stew with whatever she has on hand even though she doesn't need food to sustain her body. It's a hold-over skill from when she was human.
Equipment: She carries a vampiric short sword (looks like a gladius) that drains the opponent’s blood with every wound created strapped to her side. Curve-bladed elven daggers are strapped to each tigh. These daggers, while possessing no offensive abilities like her short sword, can waithstand more damage and are not eaily blunted or nicked.
Personality: She is apathetic and is usually contend to go with the flow. She has a dark sense of humour and a slightly sadistic attitude. She lives by the rule “Forgive but never forget”. She doesn’t take kindly to those who are slower on the uptake than she is and those who betrayed her. Although she does not hold a grudge, if you crossed her once, it is difficult to get her to trust you or get back in her good graces. However, when she gets attached to someone, she shows a very different front. She is warm, gentle and motherly towards them.
History: Once a member of the mysterious and feared Ranger force that roam the lands hunting dark creatures(blood-frenzied vampires, rogue werewolves, feral ghouls, undead, orcs, murder sorcerers, etc.), Azazel split off from her party to clear the small lair of recently-turned vampires. It wasn’t the first time she hunted groups of dark creatures on her own so she thought she would be able to handle it. However, she miscalculated. With her standard issue crossbow, she killed off four and was hunting down the last when she was pinned to the ground. This vampire was different from the typical ones. He appeared human from head to toe, not even a sharpened incisors could be seen when he smiled. She was bewildered and caught off guard, mind still reeling as she was drained of blood. By some luck or will of the Gods, she did not die. Instead, the venom of the unique vampire changed her over the course of five long, excruciating days. The memories after were a blur. She didn’t know how long had passed, coming to her senses only to discover herself crouching over a terrified woman. She dashed off instantly, going as far into the wilderness as she could and isolating herself. However, she did not allow herself to starve. Spending years on animal and the occasional bandit blood, she explored the limits of her newfound power. As soon as she deemed she was strong enough, she left to find her sire, catching him off guard as she snuck into one of his extravagant parties disguised as a blood sacrifice, making sure she would be the first to be chosen and offered to the host during dinner. She set him on fire and stole his short sword, using it to run him through several times as he burned. She revealed her Vampire Lord form, preparing to fight her way through the horde when they fled. Azazel discovered a small chest of her sire’s personal belongings, learning that she was now a creature known as the ‘Vampire Lord’ and the benefits that came with it. Over the centuries, she came across other dark creatures like herself, clinging on to their humanity and refusing to give in to the dark temptation. She gathered them all, offering the castle she got from her sire as a sanctuary and picked up hunting inhuman creatures once more.
I am interested, but one question. Why have all the ranks above F if that's the limit of the character's level that we can create, as stated in your sample CS?
Alias: Wraith Allegiance: X-Men Real name: Kurayami Senya (Surname, Given name) Age: 26 Gender: Female Appearance and Clothes:
Personality: Senya is courteous and polite, greeting friend and foe alike the same way, who rarely loses her calm, even when surprised or angered. But she can seem to be cold, distant and calculating due to her silent nature and refusal to talk more than absolutely necessary, when absolutely necessary. She is extremely devoted to her family and friends yet she is by no means blindly obedient, as she often voices her opinions out loud. She is confident in his abilities, is also a quick thinker and knows how to analyze a situation.
Biography: The bastard child of a wealthy Japanese businessman, she was abandoned on the streets by her mother (her father’s mistress) due to her gender and forced into crime in order to live. The first time she killed was at the age of 10. About to die from blood loss, she strangled the man via his shadow. Using her newfound powers, she became a hired assassin until her target was another mutant. After beating her profusely, he took her in and taught her what he knew. Two years later, another mutant killed him and she stow-away on a ship that brought her to China. She continued earning money via contracts, and finally made enough to but passage to Europe. She stayed there for several years until she heard about Xavier’s Institute and made her way to America to see it for herself. However, she did not wish to join them openly as she did not believe she would be able to continue her way of life – the only way she knows how to live – if she officially became a member. Thus, she simply began to keep as close a track as she could on their activities and review her targets’ history and bio before accepting the jobs. She is sympathetic towards the X-Men’s cause so if she knows her target is someone from Xavier’s Institute, she would refuse. Of course, that puts her on quite a few hit lists and she has taken to carrying a bladed tessen on her person at all times just in case. However, Professor Xavier still considers her a part of the X-Men, and she will answer his summons. Of course, is can hardly ignore it when she practically lives in the Institute.
Power(s): • Umbrakinesis: Has absolute control over shadows, manipulate people by controlling their shadows, shadow travel, blend into the darkness to become invisible as long as he is in dark places, see through shadows • Night empowerment: Is stronger at night or on dark places
Weapon(s): A 35cm bladed tessen
Weakness(es): When she gets attached to someone and they are in danger, logic and rationality goes out the window. Her bloodthirst and slight berserker nature takes over until the person is save again or someone manages to calm her down. She is terrified of being in a space with absolutely no shadow and will go into a panic-attack. She is not physically strong and relies on her speed, flexibility and agility in close-combat.
