I seem funny? Damn it, I need to up my game...
The thrill of warp travel always got Aura exceptionally pumped for any mission, no matter how dire; as the ship eventually slowed to signal it's arrival at it's destination, Aura could feel his blood surging through his body. This is going to be fun! Once he had set the ship back into auto-pilot, patting and consoling the dashboard a few times while muttering, "I'll be back soon, you gorgeous piece of machinery," he hefted up a small bag of supplies from under the main console (he always kept one ready at his desk in case of emergency) and set course for the cargo bay.
Marvelling at the perfection that was the Mighty Light for a few moments, he quickly shook himself out of his reverie before hurriedly rushing inside, chucking his bag into his designated locker. Once that was done, he got to work on his mandatory flight check list, zipping around the ship hurriedly so that he could get a hold of the controls as soon as possible. Focused on his work, he almost forgot to say hello in response to Hero as he walked past, evidently heading towards his seat. Is it just me, or did he look queasy? Probably just had a bad lunch. Or none at all.

Standing beside his fellow crew-members, he listened intently to the distress signal as it played through the speakers. Difficult to pick out a lot of information, he thought to himself, his mind trailing as he tried to piece together what was going on. It's clear they're in a tight spot; after all, something had to have blocked out most of that message.
He was brought back to reality all of a sudden when he heard the captain mention the Mighty Light. Aura had always had a good time with that small ship. Personality: Living as a criminal for most of his childhood and young adulthood, Kei is a ruthless individual, not afraid of doing what is necessary to survive in the underworld of NYC. His new found powers have only heightened his cold demeanour and made him more of a strategic and deadly killer. His only duties are to himself, and his own goals.
Power/Capabilities: Crystal Conduit - Capable of transforming his body into pure crystal, making himself highly durable, as well as deadlier, with the sharp points of the crystals becoming lance-like weapons. Able to manipulate crystal into shields to protect himself and others, and fir sharp crystal bolts for ranged attacks. Can also manipulate the crystalline structures underground, causing them to protrude up as spikes or to encase/impale opponents. Is, however, weak to vibration and sound-based weapons.
Background/How you got your powers: Kei was a notorious member of a New York gang known as Chrysalis, focused mainly in the business of ambushes, shakedowns, and the occasional assassination. Born into the life at an early age, Kei worked willingly alongside them, until a particular job went bad. Sentenced to die by his fellow gang members, he fought back, his ability awakening during the ensuing firefight. With his new power of crystalline structures, he obliterated most of Chrysalis. For the past year, he has been honing his abilities, while gathering up information around the city in hopes of rebuilding the gang as his own.
