My work schedule just completely changed for the worse, so expect me to be less active, unable to run my own RPs, but I should hopefully be able to keep myself in other people's RPs.

Sanath was easing himself after the tensions of the voices, losing himself in both the fight and the easing chems he had just ingested. The fight, brutal as it was, did not garner much of a reaction out of Sanath, who found himself drifting off into strange visions. There was little he could make out, but he was sure he witnessed some fighting, bright bursts of light, and then darkness. These visions repeated themselves for what felt like hours to Sanath, and he still could not make out more than blurs of vaguely humanoid movement. In reality, these visions were ended in but a few minutes, when Sanath was woken abruptly.

A man, one he did not recognize, handed him a full face mask of a sort, and a small autogun. Sanath took hold of these items, and quickly familiarized himself with them, looking over the autogun's outer mechanics before resting the mask atop his head, where it could be pulled down at a moment's notice. With that, he was now far more alert, watching all corners of the club for any sign of trouble or danger.
@TheEvanCatWell, it's certainly better than nothing. You're at least familiar with the concept of Battlemechs, and possibly the different weapon types. Say what you will about MechAssault, but it makes for a great intro to the franchise.
@TheEvanCatMechAssault for the original Xbox was actually a video game spin-off, though it was set later in the timeline, and featured a few mechs that were exclusive to that game.
@Specter189See, I have emotional attachment to the Atlas. It was the first mech I ever saw, it was the first mech I ever won with. I always use the same pilot with an Atlas, whether it's Battetech, Mechwarrior, or anything else.

As for the other RPs, I will be there, just my schedule picked up unexpectedly. I should be able to manage.
Side note short, have a mech in mind yet? :) (no rush, just small talk... subtle, right?)

I was thinking Heavy/Assault Mechs. My very personal favorite in this category is the Atlas, which I may just go with.
@ArenaSnowI'm still here.
@ArenaSnowSpeaking of: Do you have a link to where I can download the game? Everything I can find isn't working for me.
@ArenaSnowI am so very, Very, VERY interested! 100% on board. I've wanted to do a battletech RP for a while, but this method never really occured to me. If you wanted, I could gather some screen capture software for everyone, so we could post video footage of the battles here?
I haven't read any of the novels, but I have been exposed to/playing the game since I was about 6-7 years old.
@SavageEh, it depends on which writer, and what they're writing. For example: Ward butchered the Space Marines, but as a Dark Elf player from WHFB, I quite enjoyed his Dark Elf rulebook fluff.
