I'm looking for 3-4 people in addition to myself for a mostly lighthearted, occasionally action-packed and suspenseful RP set in the monster school from Rosario + Vampire; Youkai Academy. Players will be allowed up to 2-3 MPCs (Main Player Characters), and as many NPCs and/or side characters/extras as necessary, with a focus on a new School Newspaper Club cast of OCs as they navigate their way through school life, make new friends, fight potential enemies or rivals, possibly find love, uncover mysterious happenings and report on various events all while working on the school's student newspaper. Posts are preferred to have at least 2 paragraphs of meaningful content, posted in an established order that we will determine as we set up the playerbase. I'm hoping for each player to be able to post once every 1-2 weeks so the story can have a good pace, but if something comes up please don't hesitate to communicate with the group and we can happily either wait or work around your absence ^-^
The story is set roughly 20-25 years after the ending of the manga, so if you only saw the anime or haven't experienced the series at all but are still interested in the setting then feel free to ask questions and I will happily fill you in! Characters do not all have to be members of the Newspaper club, but as said club is the focus of the main story I'm planning you should have at least 1 character that joins the club eventually; it doesn't have to be immediate, and we can discuss how to involve your characters that either won't join the Newspaper Club at all or who will join it later into the story. Your characters should consist of primarily monsters from most any form of mythology, but 1 or 2 human characters throughout the cast are definitely allowed and would be fun to have, though not required. If you do choose to make a human character, it's highly recommended that they be a member of the Newspaper Club as that is the safest environment for them in this setting, but feel free to do something different if you have ideas you want to do. As this is set 20-25 years after the manga, it is okay to have a couple of characters be children of the original cast, provided they are of either canon or realistic pairings, but I'd prefer the majority of the characters to be original. On that note I do have some ideas for how some of the original cast could be teachers at the academy now that they are adults, but if you'd rather the teachers be completely original characters I'm totally fine doing that as well.
