Personality:
To say that Tamashi is a man of few words is a rather severe understatement. The only people he will regularly speak to are the Captains, and that is only because they outrank him. In any other circumstance he only speaks when it is absolutely needed, or when he is asked a direct question that cannot be answered with a simple shrug/nod. This does not stem from some dislike of being social, though he doesn’t like it either, he just believes that speaking is a waste of energy in most circumstances. The few people of his rank and lower that have heard him speak are often shocked to hear how light his voice is, which is as androgynous as the rest of him. Most people are not aware of his gender, and he finds that to be perfectly acceptable.
Tamashi strongly dislikes not doing something, much like speaking he finds it to be a waste of energy to be standing around doing nothing. As such he has found multiple hobbies to keep himself busy when he is not performing his duties. Due to his lack of social interaction he has mastered quite a few such as painting, sculpting, shogi, dancing, and surprisingly enough, singing, though less than a handful of people have witnessed the last.
Tamashi is incapable of experiencing the emotion of fear, as well as love to his knowledge. This hasn’t always been true, he had known fear often prior to joining the Gotei 13, but since he bonded with Hadaka no Tamashi his entire viewpoint had shifted. He no longer viewed himself as a living soul, merely one that was passing by. He isn’t alive, yet he has not reached the point where he is dead. The incantation to release Hadaka’s Shikai perfectly fits the way they both think. They are nothingness given form. Why be afraid of something when the worst it could do was send you to your next destination after all.
When on the battlefield, or on a mission, very little changes about Tamashi. He prefers being able to run solo ops, since the likelihood of him having to speak is nonexistent. He is also simply more comfortable by himself, it allows him to act in a manner that he rather keep from others. He doesn’t hesitate with his moves, quickly ending any threat that he comes across. While he is fully capable of fighting on the frontlines he much rather stick to the shadows, his foes only realizing his presence the moment it is too late.
History:
Tamashi’s history prior to joining the Gotei 13 is as much of an enigma as he is. He has never spoken to anyone about it, not even what district he had been in. His known history starts with his placement within the 2nd division, which he spent a majority of growing years with. He followed orders to the letter, never asking questions and never hesitating regardless of the mission. He was a perfect little solider, or in his circumstance a perfect little assassin.
This continued for a number of years, over which he continued to steadily rise up the ranks. When Arina Kawagana become Captain of the division she saw fit to promote him to be her Lieutenant. Once more this time during his life is a mystery, as only Arina herself knows the missions that she sent him out on. He worked completely solo during the 20 years he served as her Lieutenant. Right around the 20 year mark he received unexpected news. He was being transferred.
The Captain of 6th division saw fit to steal Tamashi away from Arina, though Tamashi still has no idea why Romiel felt the need to do this he has not once complained. Just like when he was with Arina his mission history is only known to his Captain, and anyone that Romiel felt needed to be informed. The past 30 years he has served Romiel faithfully as his Lieutenant, doing missions, training, and of course perfecting his various hobbies.

He always wears the mask shown above, only taking it off when requested to by a Captain.
He is fairly short, only about 5’5, along with this he weighs around 120 lbs.
In an alternative universe he is Shota's best back-up dancer.

Shikai Release Command: Befitting his typical silence, Tamashi has bonded strong enough with Hadaka no Tamashi to be able to release his Shikai with only a movement, drawing the blade along his palm hard enough to draw a little blood.
Shikai Appearance:
In addition to this all color drains from Tamashi, leaving every bit of his clothing a bland white. Excluding the ‘blood’ on the mask.
Shikai Skills:
Incorporeality- Tamashi’s physical body rapidly breaks down, leaving an ethereal form in its place. While in this form he is not capable of taking, or dealing damage making ideal in a situation where he is severely outmatched. In most circumstances Tamashi will return to corporeal form slowly once he begins the process of returning, however if he forces enough energy into the technique he can cause a rapid materialization allowing him to make a sudden strike. In addition while in this form he is capable of going through solid objects.
Disassociation- The concept of this technique would more or less be that rather than becoming entirely incorporeal, Tamashi allows part of himself to lose its corporeal status thus freeing up some of his reishi. This reishi can then be associated with something else, say his zanpakuto, increasing its length, width, or altering its shape according to his wishes. However, part of his body must sacrifice roughly the same amount of its solidity for this to occur, thus rendering it entirely unable to come into contact with anything at all.
Corporeal Incorporeality- Tamashi separates his body into two parts, one that is visible and incorporeal while the other is invisible but corporeal, meaning that it makes noise. Tamashi is capable of switching positions with the clone, as well as alternating which is corporeal. This is the strongest ability granted by the Shikai form of Hadaka no Tamashi, and as such it is also the most taxing. He only uses this ability when beating the target/targets is absolutely necessary and the previous abilities have proven ineffective.

Current Home: He has been in Sovereign for the past year, due to the wall.
Personality: Miles has always had the gift of wanderlust, he feels uncomfortable when he is forced to stay in one place for a long period of time. This proved to be quite the problem for him when the wall went up around Sovereign, but he found solace when he joined a group of refugees. He found that while he was keeping their spirits up his own issues seemed to fade away.
He is a naturally caring individual, growing up in the close knit community of his ‘clan’ it was expected for everyone to look out for each other. He finds joy in easing the worries of those around him. This also leads him to be a pacifist, he just can’t bring himself to intentionally cause someone else pain. Unfortunately for Miles the world that he finds himself in is not suited for a man of his characteristics.
Despite the circumstances that have shaped his life recently, Miles has refused to let them corrupt his heart. He remains a cheerful young man with an iron will. No amount of death or loss has managed to break him of these defining characteristics.
Bio: Miles was born on the road, quite literally. His parents belonged to a group of travelers, all of which were either friends or family. The ‘clan’, as they referred to themselves as, was an extremely close knit community. As one would assume, Miles led a non typical life compared to most children. He was educated by the various members of the clan, and all of his friends were people he had known since birth. He never really paid attention to these differences, though he did in fact notice them when his clan stopped by towns/cities. He just accepted that everyone has a different experience while growing up.
Due to the constant traveling that his clan did none of them had actual jobs, instead they used special talents that they developed to earn Laurels. These talents varied as much as the people that used them, sleight of hand tricks, singing, juggling, while others picked pockets and otherwise conned people while they were distracted by the more mundane entertainers. Developing this skill is considered one of the two main trials that children have to go through, this one is at the age of 10. Miles discovered that he had a gift for playing the violin.
The rest of his childhood passed by uneventfully, just traveling the land without a care. His clan never stayed in a city for more than a couple months, always leaving just before anyone could catch on to their little schemes. Finally the time of his final trial came when he turned 16, the age that a child becomes an adult in his ‘clan’. It was time for him to leave the clan and begin wandering on his own. Most who leave the clan during this trial end up returning in a few years, but there are a rare couple who continue to wander aimlessly, some even forming clans of their own.
During the three years between the start of his trial, and his ending up in Sovereign, Miles focused his travels on cities that his clan had never stopped at. He refused to resort to the more criminal acts that his clan were known for, instead relying on his ability with the violin to earn enough money to buy the necessities. He had been saving Sovereign for his last stop before rejoining his clan, however he never got that chance. A couple of days before he planned on leaving, the gate opened and the wall went up. The first couple of months into the quarantine were a living hell for the born wanderer, as he was completely trapped. This feeling eventually washed away when he began using his new found talent to ease the suffering of the group of survivors he had ended up with by giving them hope.
