Having so bluntly stated that they aren't friends all of a sudden didn't seem like the best answer ever. Her obviously fake hurt expression did sting a bit, but both girls seemed enough aloof for him to realize that no real damage has been inflicted. "Ah, practicality - that makes perfect sense." Nero briefly added to her statement about outfits, although his wasn't exactly practical, rather than a fashion statement.
"Social statement," he swiftly corrected his own narrator.
"Sui Sanada, Nishiki Kalemoru - nice to meet both of you." He nodded yet again, not saying anything to imply his unsigned squad status. The worst thing that could happen was if Nishiki tried to get him to join Squad Eleven. And considering how open she is, he wasn't going to count that possibility out. The thought made him shudder.
Seeing how the two interacted with each other actually made the atmosphere feel comfortable. A thought even crossed Nero's mind that he would be able to get used to their antics, however loud they may be. That's when he noticed a hand coming towards his hair. He didn't even register the question until after noticing the hand.
Actually. The atmosphere wasn't that comfortable. Those are the kind of antics that go over any sane line. "No!" He moved back, flipping his hair dramatically. "If you touch my hair, I'll..." he wanted to say 'kill you', but wasn't really comfortable saying that to a girl he just met. That's when Nishiki joined the fray, practically demanding to touch it. The excited expression on her face was too much to bear. There was only one way out of this. "What do I get in return?"
No sane person would actually go forward with this and offer something in return. It was a fail-proof question to get him out of the predicament of other people touching his hair.

I don't know whether to be sad or happy. Sure, I'll be known as the alcoholic of the RP, but at the same time - I'll have a badge, so I'll have that going for me :3

It's the artist's fault >.< I almost picked a different picture, but that guy looked like Aizen too much, so I ended with fabu hair. Not that I mind that much.

I'd rather not limit them to only primitive hollows as it's a normal event in Bleach universe for Arrancar to exist, but since there is no Aizen and Hogyoku (I wrote that wrong, right?) - there would also be no massive spawns of powered-up hollows.
I mean, I'd let other species exist, just not available to be PC's. And a main focus would of course be on the conflict between Shinigami and the Jacks, but without hollows and other species, there wouldn't be a lot of enemies to fight when the two formerly mentioned forces are not clashing.
Now that is a good question. The main plot would take place in Soul Society as there is more than enough area to cover there, but should some characters go on short missions in the human world, I don't see a problem with that. As long as it's the main focus is not entirely shifted out into Human World or even less into Hueco Mundo (which wouldn't even have any role here, in my opinion)

There is not a lot of things that tick Nero off, but when someone so nonchalantly breaks his concentration... that is one of the few things that top the list. Doesn't he look busy enough? Probably not, just walking around at a steady pace. "Fine.." Nero thought to himself as he stopped in his tracks. This time he'll forgive whoever the woman's voice belongs too. "Didn't they teach you not to judge people by their appearance?" He fired a question of his own, without turning around. "Quite frankly..." He continued, but was interrupted by another voice. Someone who was obviously too loud for his preferences.
This time he did turn around and, boy, he had a sight to look at. Two girls, the one that stopped him in the first place and the loud one. Sui was presumably the former one. While he analyzed the situation, the loud one continued to talk, although he would have never guessed by her appearance that she was that loud. Nor that straightforward. "I..." Blood went to Nero's head as she winked at him. He had to shake it in order to get a grip of himself. "We..." He coughed to refrain his voice from cracking.
"Name is Nero; Nero Aegis." He introduced himself with a short nod. "We are not friends; I don't even know her. But I do acknowledge the compliment, it's not easy getting your hair to look like this." He explained, passing with his hand through his hair. All the while he inspected the girl named, or nicknamed, Sui. She looked quite normal, except...
