Rin smirked as he brushed himself off to the best of his abilities. He was about to nod his head and agree on getting him to the Fourth Squad, before a yellow light caught his attention, coming exactly from the direction of the Fourth Squad. "I guess it's over." He heard about the yellow light in legends, stories of an unbreakable barrier that was used to extract isolated Hollows to safety. But, a familiar reiatsu was coming from one of the light. Although his sight wasn't the best tool ever, he was still able to notice who it was. "Head Captain? Well, this will certainly give that one beer a sequel."

As he noticed the yellow lights, Nero stood up, facing Sui - whose injuries should have been dealt with by this time. "This is what happens when you believe in people without valid grounds." He looked straight in the direction of the Head Captain. What kind of a leader would do this to his people? It was downright despicable. "I can only assume the Gotei 13 is going to feel this earthquake for a long time. We may have a break of a new dawn on our hands. And not a particularly bright one." At this point, he was talking to no one in particular, just letting his thoughts out in the open. Although this event did not break his calm demeanor, it was still something that he considered a worthless action from a, obviously, worthless leader. "He is no leader."

Unfortunately, as Myst said, we'd have to see the CS before making that decision, but it's highly unlikely at this point. Although, that doesn't mean your Lieutenant won't become a Captain at some point ;)

Personality:

Completely and utterly obsessed with everything that has to do with the world of the living. The clothes, the music, the food, the girls. Oh, the girls. Although he was born in the Soul Society, he never found much inspiration there as he did when he first had a chance to visit the world of the living. He remembers it clearly to this day - flashing lights, dark and bright - neon signs, music blasting from every corner - dubstep, trapstep, chillstep, all the steps. And walking next to him, a girl after a girl in low skirts. Although Soul Society was supposed to be a heaven of some sort, he knew that he was witnessing heaven unfold right before his eyes with each blow of the wind.

As often as he has the opportunity, he pays a visit to his personal heaven. And was often caught "smuggling" object between worlds. Which is one of the main reasons he joined the Fifth Squad in the first place, he felt it was lax enough for him to do what he really wanted to do.

His tongue is always in shape, ready to throw out one or two one-liners, and his mood is almost always bubbly. Barely no one in the Seireitei remembers seeing him without a smile on his face. And why shouldn't he smile? He will live for a long time and will get to see a lot of pretty girls in his lifetime. And if he's lucky, maybe someone from the Research Department figures out a way to bring him back from the dead, considering he is such an important asset to the Gotei 13, and he'll have another lifetime to enjoy.

The list of things that make him upset is quite short and it involves insects and clowns.

Even when in battle, he tries to make the best out of a situation - more than often joking around at the expense of his opponent.

He is against all that is old and traditional; and instead turns his head into the new age.

History:

Shota Koki, a boy born into a traditional family that never really saw eye to eye with his eccentric nature. He was the middle child in the family, having an older brother and a younger sister. Parents often forbid him from playing with his sister as they believed he was a bad influence for her. His older brother couldn't care less as a career in the Gotei 13 was all that his eyes could see.

He did not really understand at that time, why they regarded him with such skepticism. He would only later find out that most people don't dare to dream and thus end up stuck in their ordinary lives, with ordinary roles. There was no grand prize at the end of such a life, which is probably why he decided to live it his own way, whether his parents liked it or not.

It turns out, they did not like it, but could do little about it, except for sending him to the Shinigami Academy. They sincerely thought he was going to end up as his brother if only they pushed him a little harder. Little did they know that his life as a Shinigami brought him more excitement and joy than anything else he ever did in his life.

Exciting, adrenaline pumping missions. An opportunity to see the world behind this world. Cute girl galore. His years at the academy passed in a blink of an eye - which is a normal event when one is having a great time. Afterwards, he decided to join the most lax squad he could find and that ended up being the Fifth Squad. Suprisingly, he quickly rose through the ranks, although he didn't really try. It seemed that his natural knack for dealing with the human world, along with his agility and a trait of being a quick learner, brought him to the attention of the higher ups.

As a gift for his 170th birthday, he was promoted to a Lieutenant, which only meant that he would have even more opportunities to go off in the human world. Countless possibilities raced through his mind and he knew that the fun was just starting.

After he was granted the permission to go and spend some time in the real world (the best period in his life, as he calls it), his appearance completely changed. He brought headphones from the human world, he brought clothes that he started wearing instead of traditional Shinigami clothes (to the joined dislike of some Captains) - heck, he would've even brought a girl with him, if they only allowed it.

Unfortunately, they did not. And they did not allow him to become a singer in the human world, either. But he wasn't going to give up that easily on his goal.

His goal to be a superstar.

Legend Killer - Whenever Sho punches an object with either one of his brass knuckles, a neon colored explosion of spiritual pressure will occur. The explosion equals the size of a compact hand grenade and, although it doesn't cause injury to Sho, used in a rapid succession will wear down his arm muscles.

Xtreme Measures - Usually, Sho utilizes this technique by crossing his hands so it forms an X shape. The blades begin to glow a neon color (a pattern to which color comes after which was not yet established) and Sho swings both of his arms up, releasing two thin blasts of Spiritual Pressure. The density of the blast is so thick that it can cut through most objects standing in its path. The length of the blast is about 10 feet, but it only travels in a straight line.

One SHO-T - This ability can be used only once during the release, utilizing the power of both blades. Upon activation, the blades starts to emit immense amounts of Spiritual Pressure and when Sho throws a punch in the target direction, a column of Neon Pressure is launched from the blade - travelling at the speed of a kido spell towards its destination. The column, shaped like a fist, has a radius of 20 feet and travels as a homing missile, locking onto it's target.
