Welcome to the guild. ^_^
Hi, welcome to the Roleplayer Guild! =)
Our story takes place in an alternate timeline, staring in the year 2010 (a little before Talor would have triggered). World events such as the appearance of Scion and the Enbringer will remain the same. The Triumvirate and Slaughterhouse 9 exists, but I am open to changing them up to include new player-made characters. Doctor Mother exists in our timeline, as well as Contessa and the Doormaker.

But for the most part, no canon characters. If people want to adopt shards from canon characters that's fine, but they're going to be different people.

The end of the world is still pretty far off, but it's coming. One day we will face Endbringers and the 9 and Cauldron will be revealed, but all in good time. For now, it's about the emerging gang and cape presence and how it will effect our city.

As more members join, we can move to a county scale and then on to a world scale.

At least, that's what I have in mind. But I am always happy to receive comments and criticism, suggestions and so on. =) At the time being there is about 6 of us so we can always discuss ideas on Discord or here.

Eighteenth of November (Evening)

Rays of sunlight warmed Myrtle's face as she laid smiling in a field of daisies, gazing up and watching the clouds go by. The air was fresh and warm, and it made her so sleepy. She closed her eyes for just a few minutes to rest...but then, she began to feel so cold. She rubbed her arms and held herself, shivering. Clouds blocked her sun, and dark clouds and roaring winds rushed in, lashing at her bare skin. Ice started to form in her hair, on her eyelashes and spread across her skin. When she tried to move, she found she was frozen to the ground--even her eyes were frozen shut. She desperately wanted to scream, but all that came out was mist. All around her, daisies frosted over and began to wilt...

But then, an earthquake! Her whole world shook and ice shattered and fell away. Myrtle struggled to her feet and heard a voice calling out through the storm, and began to follow it...

Myrtle's eyes fluttered open and she sat right up, nearly whacking her head on a young woman who had been looking over her. "Wha-what happened!? Where am I?" she asked, rubbing her throbbing head. She felt something wet and brought her hand in front of her to see what it was--blood. Her eyes grew sad and dim as her memories returned.

"You must have saved me. Thank you," Wallflower said looking at her bloody hand and then at the girl who knelt by her side. Myrtle smiled weakly and gave the girl a look over. She seemed to be a nurse judging by her scrubs and the tools she had spread around. Thankfully there were no signs or sounds of police, ambulances, or spectators. "And thank you... for not involving anybody else--for um, protecting my identity I mean."

Wallflower rambled on anxiously, hardly giving the girl chance to speak. "You better get going before trouble comes back and finds us. You-you don't want meet who I went up against," Wallflower warned as she tried slowly to get back to her feet. But her body was too weak, shuddering and shivering with the effort, and she wound up falling right back down on her butt. It seemed that she would need help getting home tonight.

"Don't worry. I can call my partner, Madjick-- oh," Myrtle froze a second, staring at the phone she just pulled out of her bag, realizing that she didn't have his number yet. With a deep breath, she dialed Kotov's number instead. With each ring, her heart beat harder and harder, and her head throbbed in turn.

"Hi um, this is Wallflower calling. I'm sorry to bother you, but... I need your help. Please, come get me..." Myrtle pleaded into the phone with a slight tremble in her voice, making sure to give her location before she hung up.

Wallflower leaned back against the brick wall behind her, feeling exhausted. She turned her head weakly and was surprised to see the young nurse was still with her. "Wh-why are you still here, miss? They could come back... you could get killed!" Myrtle exclaimed, trying to get to her feet again, the effort sending into a coughing fit.

Beastars is kind of like the movie Zootopia, if you've seen that. But darker. In the Beastars world, there are no humans, but there are very human-like animals instead. There is a lot of tension between herbivores and carnivores, because carnivores have to fight or safely satisfy their urges. In school, young carnivores are taught to suppress their instincts and to eat eggs, insects, and plant protein (like tofu) rather than other people.

But adult carnivores tend to turn to the black market. Some of this meat is provided through hospitals and morgues, but some poor souls were captured to be sold as meat, or bred for that purpose, usually run by carnivore gangs. And sometimes, they just can't suppress their instincts.

Couples usually consist of the same species (because cross breeding isnt possible), but interspecies coupling is common especially while young. Herbivores normally befriend herbivores, and carnivores beffiend carnivores. In Beastars, our main protagonists are an unlikely high school couple: a shy grey wolf bou and a promiscuous white dwarf rabbit.

The manga is really great, and I would love to participate in a roleplay based off of it. But I would like to see more participants before I commit...
Oh, I might be interested in a Beastars roleplay. =)

Before Arabelle even had a chance to reply, some woman came busting out of the stall. Aileen stood, doe-eyed, staring at her. She thought they were alone! How much did she see? Or hear? She was going to be in so much trouble for this!

“You’re in the way,” the woman said rather rudely as she stepped between Aileen and Arabelle. "Oh. A'm sorry..." Aileen apologized, mumbling. She looked with her eyes toward Arabelle for guidance, deciding to pretend nothing unusual happened here. Maybe the young woman had earbuds on and didn't hear a thing.

“So that’s a cool little trick you have there,” the woman spoke as she washed her hands and stared at the two sisters in the mirror. She started rattling off, but Aileen wasn't listening. Instead she stared, transfixed, on a strange and ghastly blue hand that emerged from the young women's back and grabbed a paper towel, handing it to the woman before fading out of existence. Aileen blinked a couple times and rubbed her eyes wondering if her power caused hallucinations as well.

“Hey, I know you! We’re’ sisters!” the woman suddenly spoke like she had a change of heart. She pointed at Aileen, who raised a brow looked to Arabelle, and then and pointed back to herself, dumbfounded. "Me?"

The woman answered with a mischievous smile and spread arms. She began rambling and squealing and Aileen couldn't help smiling and feeling excited for her as well, though she had this nagging feeling deep down that something wasn't quite right with her, or was it just because of the ominous day she was having?

The woman suddenly launched herself at Aileen, hugging the smaller and younger girl around her arms and shoulders, squeezing her tight. Aileen half-choked and half-laughed, "Aye! Hahahaha! Quit messing around why don'cha! You'll be the death of me, hehehe!"

When her new half-sister Nisha let go, Aileen smiled and gave her and quick but warm and gentle hug in turn. "It is so nice to have another sister--this is something to celebrate! But ehm, Nisha, me and Miss Matthews actually have some important errands to take care of before we go home..." she trailed off while looking down, feeling anxious and not wanting to admit they stumbled onto her by accident.
I got held back in Kindergarten "because I wasn't emotionally ready." In reality, it was because I was a tiny(about the size of a 3year old), sensitive little girl and the others were all bigger and meaner than me.

Aileen quickly locked the door behind her--and not a moment too soon. One vicious hellhound rammed its snout into the doors, causing it to groan and crack. The door would not hold for long. She looked anxiously to Arabelle, hoping the young lady had a plan. She seemed to be fumbling with what--a ram skull? Aileen shivered just at the sight of it, and it reminded her of the 13 magpies she saw flying earlier that day.

Her thoughts were cut short as Arabelle grabbed Aileen's hand and began disappearing into the full length mirror on the bathroom wall. Her eyes went wide with fear and wonder as she, herself, was pulled into the liquid metal surface.

When Aileen emerged, her head was spinning. "Aye... I feel like Alice through the looking glass..." she commented, rubbing her temple with her free hand as she looked curiously around. Behind them was a doorway with a strage view into the bathroom they had come from. Distorted sounds of barking and thudding and cracking, could be heard coming from their entrance, almost like they were underwater. And all around, they seemed to be surrounded by an endless expanse. Out of nowhere a doorway--or more likely, a mirror--materialized in front directly in front of them.

“Jump through this one, okay?” Arabelle smiled at Aileen briefly before turning to face the opening.

Once again, Aileen was pulled through a portal into what appeared to be... the public bathroom at her workplace? Yes, when her head stopped spinning, she was sure of it. They were at the local cafe, where Aileen worked part time as a barista. The full length mirror seemed to be fully intact and completely normal but she put her free hand on the flat cool surface for a moment just to be sure, then let out an audible sigh of relief.

"Ah... A'm knackered after all that," Aileen said wearily, looking rather pale. She glanced over to Arabelle and the skull. "Is this nawful thing what the brawl was all about?" Aileen asked while pointing, with a frown and a furrowed brow.

But eyes quickly softened and she grew concerned as she took in Arabelle's pained expression and the way she held her arm. "I must have banjanxed your shoulder pretty good, I'm sorry... but I can make it right again. My Ma wasn't a nurse, but she taught me a thing or two to save a pretty penny...."
When I went to school, I had to walk alone in the boonies a third mile to get to my bus stop. No sidewalks, up and down hills. Since Kindergarten. Miserable in the winter time. I also would explore the woods and climb trees all alone...
