David West

David woke up to the sound of the ship stopping and the comotion up on the deck as everybody was leaving and workers were beginning to unload the cargo. It looked like the journey that seemed endless was finally over and Isla Nublar was at their feet. He imidieatly put his boots on and took his belongings that were in a medium sized duffle bag and afterwards started looking rather dissapointed at his weapons that were lying on the nightstand in his quarters, a Barrett MRAD sniper rifle chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum, a .10mm Kimber 1911 and a Gerber Gator kukri. He remembered one of the other soldiers telling him that they would be using some kind of taser rifles with an output of 12 amps to pacify the dinosaurs if any of them would get crazy. A thought that wasn't making David feel very secure. Regardless of that however, if the situation gets crazy he won't be walking around with an electric gun in his hand as dinosaurs would try to chew him up like chewing gum. He would definetly go down fighting and throwing dangerous led at the bastards. If it would come to that though, David relied 100% on his skills as a sniper to survive the dangers. He definetly wasn't determined to let some T-Rex's stomach be his grave. As David cleared all those thoughts from his head he put the kukri and the 1911 inside the duffle bag, the Barrett MRAD on his back and the military cap on as he got out of his quarters, climbed up the main deck and started dodging people getting out of the ship and on the ground.

Once outside David noticed a scrawny looking worker trying to lift what seemed like a pretty heavy box, at least to him anyways. He rushed to the worker as he left his duffle bag on the ground and picked up the box for him. "Here let me help you out!" Said David with a smile on his face. "Thank you sir!" Responded the worker. As he was helping the workers unload the cargo David payed attention to everybody's discussions, trying to realise what kind of people they were. That soldier, Thomas, David didn't like him at all. He seemed very hateful and misterious. "I'm gonna have to keep an eye on that guy." Said David with a silent tone as he put a box inside a truck. He also noticed the black leather clad redhead with a very outdated hairstyle that went by the name of Tanya. She was Chief of Security. David was looking at her as she was screaming her lungs out and barking orders left and right as if she owned the island. David nodded his head in dissaproval as he grabbed his duffle bag and headed towards Tanya. Once reaching her he put the bag on the ground and gave her his papers. "Hello maam! These are my belongings, these are my papers." Said David with a serious and uninterested look on his face.

As much money as InGen has, and considering their beliefs and morals, usual US soldiers probably aren't suitable for their needs. I do imagine, that they're paying mercenaries for the needed protection.

Occupation: InGen Security Division, Former United States Marine Corps Scout Sniper

Personality: At a first glance many people might be led to believe that David is your usual tough guy that dosen't care about anything else other then guns, killing, and how great it is to be a soldier. But that is just one big mistake, an outer shell that David made for himself so he won't be treated like a weirdo during his time in the USMC. In reality David is a nice and reliable person that does his best to get along with those around him. He also dosen't kill unless there is no other option and does his best to avoid unnecesary deaths, like those of civilians or innocents. But despite that, David's benevolent attitude never stood in the way of him doing his job. He is still a killer and will not hesitate to pull the trigger if the situation calls for it. He believes himself to be a bodyguard, a protector, rather then the killing machine that the USMC and InGen made him think he is. David often dreams of giving up this life, settling down and starting a family, especially since he just turned 33 two months ago and he dosen't have a wife, a kid, hell not even a girlfriend.

Frailties: Anything that dosen't involve combat or the above mentioned skills basically renders him useless.

Backstory: A former US Marine, David was given an honorable discharge two years ago because of some health issues that appeared after his 2nd tour in Iraq where he nearly lost his left leg. At first David didn't want to become a soldier. He always liked cars and dreamed of opening up his own auto garage. However he was rather forced by his father who said that he has to follow the family tradition, not caring at all about the young David's desires and saying that he needs to be a real man like his father and grandfather. David's mother tried to convince her husband(David's father) to let David be whatever he wants to be but it was just a waste of time. One month after his discharge he had a surgery on his left leg, which, fortunately for him ended in success. Family and friends helped him with money. He was eventually contacted by InGen who offered him a place in their security division. After some thinking David reluctantly accepted.
