Looks interesting, I have a thing for magic being treated as a science.
Huzzah! You have superpowers! unfortunately at first glance the power you got is dissapointing but being the clever people you are I'm sure that you can find a method of using them for good or evil. Heres how it works.

Poster one:
The person below me gains [Insert useless sounding power here]

Person two:
[describes how this power could be used to perform crime, kill people, fight crime, help society, take over the world etc etc]

This is supposed to be a fairly serious discussion.

Anyway I will start:

Neon-Bending: You can telekinetically manipulate the element neon avatar style, you cannot create neon.
This sounds very interesting. So Gods are considered people? is that why amaranth is considered wrong?
Sounds interesting, will probably consider playing an alien or extradimensional character.

I thought the whole gimmick of this was not being able to choose your powers...

Oh shit, yeah. Could always add more powers to the lottery. just have to think up the best way to describe them.

Anti-Meme: Information about this character or object cannot be processed, something similar to psychic invisibility but more passive.

Thinking of playing as a basilisk, a more monster kinda character, terrorizing a town unwittingly, still deciding on whether the basilisk should be rattlesnake sized or near-human sized. while the human sized basilisk is more dangerous, trying to find a rattlesnake that has been accidentally killing livestock (and farmers) could be interesting.
Trying to decide between a few character ideas:

Basilisk: some dude who will royally screw you over if his mask is removed.
Null: some person who is capable of deleting any information relating to them, including in peoples minds.
Mary Sue: a person capable of MANIPULATING information relating to them, if they have an entry in a database, for example, they can manipulate the database, if someone thinks about them, they can change how people think about them.
Cognitohazard: same as before, only the changes are uncontrolled.

Or a mad scientist who does mad science things.
Interest checked
Actually have been wanting to do a superhero rp lately, dont have much experience with them

ok, go ahead ;)

i'm afraid that my zergs will simply try to assimulate the technology of The Culture, and then try to enslave the other species within The Culture

The zerg could provide an interesting challenge. They dont seem to quite fit the Culture definition of hegemonizing swarm, and they had better hope they dont fit that definition.
