There could be a hundred hours in a day and I still wouldn't get around to half the things I need to do.

Something about winter makes me want to curl up on the couch, wrap myself in a blanket, and join way more RPs than I have time for.

This is the kind of site where you think about it every day even if you haven't actually done anything here for months. Or is that just me?

Bio

Luminosity

Hey there! Thanks for stopping by. I'm Luminosity, but feel free to call me Lumi or Lum. If you're here, I suppose that means you have some interest in me, my writing, or in roleplaying with me. Here's a bit about me and my preferences. In general, if you want to talk, about RPing or anything else, just shoot me a PM. I always try to make time for new friends.

About Me

Basics

I'm in my 20s, female, and currently trying to figure out how that whole "being an adult" thing works. I've been roleplaying on this site for a while off and on, but in general I've been roleplaying for over ten years, here and there. I'm on US Central Time currently.

Writing Level
My writing level on this site varies from casual to advanced, though the sweet spot is usually around 3-5 paragraphs per post. If I'm feeling inspired I tend to write kinda long posts, so be warned. I've never been a free-level roleplayer, and writing that little per post is typically something that makes me lose interest.

Activity
I love RPing, but I am busy quite often, and so my posting rate will vary. Sometimes I'll be able to post multiple times a day, and sometimes I won't be able to post more than once a week. Please keep this in mind if you'd like to RP with me. Also that more applies to 1x1's, I do my best to be consistent if I'm joining a group RP. My normal writing times for RP are first thing in the morning or somewhat late at night, but sometimes I can squeeze posts in during the afternoon.

Preferences
I'm mostly into fantasy RPs with a good dose of adventure and action, especially dark fantasy settings. In terms of mature content, I prefer a certain level of realism, and I'm totally fine with language and gore (I actually really like writing fight scenes). I'm happy to write romance, but I really prefer not to force it or have it be the main focus of a roleplay, but rather something that happens naturally if it feels right for my character. I've never written smut/sex scenes without fading to black, and it's not something I'm especially interested in trying. I enjoy group RPs as well as 1x1's, and while I've GMed in the past, I don't do it very often now, due to stress and time constraints.

I really only RP as female characters here, as that's just my personal preference. I write all kinds in lots of genres in my personal work, but I RP here to simply write what I enjoy most. I'm fine with taking on minor characters or NPCs of any gender if the RP needs it, though.

Games

Do You Play League of Legends?

I used to! You can probably guess who my favorite champion is. I haven't played in a long time, though, since I was never very good and ran into one too many unpleasant online experiences. I still follow the game for all of the amazing art and characters it produces, and I'm interested in the upcoming titles in that universe that aren't MOBAs.

So What Do You Play?
Lately? Apex Legends, Mortal Kombat 11, Final Fantasy (VII, VII Remake, VIII, XII, a real FF trip lately), and Resident Evil 3. Honestly, not a lot lately, just haven't had the time/interest in anything for a bit.

That's about it! Thanks for the interest, and if you want to get in touch, don't hesitate to send a PM my way. See you around :)

Armistice - Eastern Gate - 500 HP - 6/6 Stamina

"You honor me with your words, Sister. It is a brave thing to do - thrusting yourself into the unknown for something you believe in. Tell me, Fiona; what do you know of the world outside of this city?"

Fiona had to stop herself from smiling, as the feeling within her was something of a mix between relief and elation. Not only did Ezheia not reprimand her for her choice, she commended her for it. Said she was brave. And she would be coming, too! It was an incredible feeling, no longer being alone in the pursuit. There were already many others, of course, but none that could share in the experience of serving the Burning Light. Not until now. She almost had to do a double-take at the question the Decanus asked, not quite hearing it until it sank in. She understood the concern at once.

"I've studied diligently, Sister. I know of the nearby regions and their relevant history, and what I should expect in terms of environments. I've studied the Order's bestiary extensively. I... have only been outside the walls a few times, and never very far... but that's why I'm traveling in a group, rather than alone. I'm aware that my own skill and training may not be enough." As so many of her teachers and superiors had informed her, possessing the knowledge of how to defeat something, and actually doing it, were vastly different things. None disagreed that Fiona had potential; physically she was adequate, and still improving, magically she excelled, particularly as a healer, and she was intelligent, quick to grasp new concepts. She could do this, she knew she could.

"Promise me this, Fiona. You and I are the Order's sole representatives on this journey. I aim to serve as an exemplar of what it means to serve in its ranks, and implore you do the same."

Fiona nodded, solemnly. "Of course. I am a protector of the light, a destroyer of the darkness. Serving beside you will be an honor, and I will do everything in my power to acquit myself well. You have my word." Perhaps she did not have experience against horrors of the outside world, but Fiona was not as green as some of the others. Armistice was not always a safe place, and she'd served within its walls for months now. She would not turn from danger beyond the walls, nor would she allow her allies to fall if it was within her power to stop it. Such was the decree of the Order: to defend the people, even when it meant sacrifice was necessary.

Azra - Public Roads - 500 HP - 6/6 Stamina

Fiona listened to the conversation taking place between the carts. It was a bit of an ice-breaker, she expected, since there had been so much uncomfortable silence to start out with. Fiona hadn't imagined the group would end up that way. Perhaps it was foolish, but she had always imagined such a venture would have some sense of camaraderie to it. There was certainly very little of that so far. Just between the two Sisters.

She occupied herself staring out at the landscapes. Mountains in the distance, peaceful meadows and woods... it was hard to imagine the world was a horrible, dark place beyond from here, but it had always been that way. The beasts had never touched these parts, for reasons unknown. Having never been this far from the city before, Fiona could've stared at it all day, but decided it would be best to chat a little with the others, so that they would know her a bit and potentially come to trust her. The largest man of the group seemed a good place to start. He was a bit intimidating to look upon, and had a way of weighing down the carriage they rode in, but Fiona knew well that first impressions were hardly a fair representation of any man or woman.

"Excuse me," she said, reaching across the carriage to lightly tap his knee. "I've been wondering... the others that wear that sigil you carry, are they all as large as you? It seems it would be frustrating, as much as it is advantageous. Do you bump your head on things often?" It was an honest question, really. They didn't make bunks big enough for men like him in the Order's Temple, and several of the doorways would require ducking to fit through.
I'll need to address some Fiona/Ezheia things, since we're apparently timeskipped on the road, and she needs to respond to stuff she said at the gate. I'll find some way to do that.

Also might help to establish who is in which carriage, since there's two. I'm just going to assume Fiona's in the one that the ones who have spoken already aren't in.
@Aristo No worries. Looking forward to it :)

Armistice - Eastern Gate - 500 HP

Fiona studied each of her companions in turn. The Enclave brother, with his own brand of robes, and a heavy mace, though his first action was to offer everyone tea. Fiona politely accepted and drank, but did not join in on the conversation. The young woman from Markovia provoking the giant man was enough to keep her away from that. She wasn't at all certain what to make of him, and truth be told he did make her a little nervous. Only a fool would regard him with carelessness. If nothing else, she was glad he would be on her side, and not opposing her on the road somewhere.

Several of them were mercenary-looking types, lightly armored, with other melee weapons or bows, and Fiona imagined that most of them were here for the money, or the idea of the reward that awaited them upon their successful return. Great riches had of course been promised, but it struck Fiona as a bit of a foolish reason to embark on such a dangerous journey. Coin was of little use to a corpse, after all. No, surely they had other reasons for being present. Perhaps it was just Fiona's optimism that led her to think so.

Then the member of her Order that she thought she'd seen a few moments earlier approached her, and Fiona felt a jolt of nervousness course through her upon recognizing the woman. Sister Ezheia was not known the world-over yet, but most Aspirants in Armistice had certainly heard of her, and the swelling tales of her skill and efficiency, as well as her rather unique style. The black armor she wore was normally something that wouldn't be looked on kindly in an Order member that wasn't yet a Venator... but everyone knew that Ezheia would become one soon enough, when the Archon felt her age and experience matched her clearly demonstrated skill. The Black Decanus, in the meantime, was a well-respected name, one that was known to intimidate some of the Order's lesser members.

Not Fiona, of course. The redheaded girl was actually a bit elated to be approached by Ezheia, even as she felt a flutter of uncertainty. It was entirely possible she was about to get chewed out by a well-known Decanus, for her decision to join up with the group, but Fiona was just excited to talk to her. "Sister Ezheia," she said, taking a step away from the wall and removing her hood. "It's an honor to meet you." She bowed briefly, her expression clearly betraying both anxiety and excitement. "I'm Fiona. An Aspirant. That's... probably obvious." She bit her lip for a moment, suddenly remembering what Ezheia had asked.

"I'm... here to join up with the caravan, Sister. I've already gained some experience within the walls. It's time for me to set out. And it's a good cause." The last statement was undoubtedly a controversial one, but Fiona expected the last thing the Black Decanus wanted to see in her was weakness, and trying to hide her reasoning for joining up was a sure way to show it. She was resolved to at least show certainty in her decision, even if it earned her Ezheia's disapproval.
Goooood. Probably going to start a post soon.

Edit: And posted. Fiona's going to fangirl so hard when she learns Ezheia's coming with them.
Persephone

Location: Crossed Swords Inn & Tavern
Interacting With: Lucan, et al

Seph groaned, lifting her head halfway off the pillow and pushing the hair out of her eyes. She blinked several times, not really hearing Lucan at first, but when she was awake enough to comprehend the words, she slid blearily out of bed, taking the blanket with her and tossing it over her upper body, leaving bare legs sticking out from beneath. Unlocking the door, she tugged it open until she was halfway visible, and smiled lazily at Lucan, leaned against the door.

"Morning. You're energetic." She supposed from their brief meeting before, she wouldn't have expected him to be the awake and alert, bright and early type. Then again... was it bright and early still? It was hard to tell. In any case, Seph was very fond of her sleep. "I'll be down in a minute." One eye having been covered by a mass of black hair, she cocked her head sideways to see him, just before she slipped behind the door altogether, and closed it entirely.

Several minutes later, Persephone emerged from the room again, dressed once more in her robes and more or less ready for travel, her hair messily tied up behind her. Heading down the stairs, she smiled and offered a little wave for the assembled group there. It was a decent number; she was glad Lucan had been able to pull all of them in. "Hey everyone, I'm Persephone, but Seph works just fine." She took a seat near Keystone, smelling something cooking, and she savored the scent. "I'm looking forward to traveling with you all."
I'll have a post up in a few hours if a collab isn't going to happen. Don't wanna hold things up.
@Aristo Any chance of a collab today? I imagine Fiona and Ezheia could have a pretty good conversation.
