It didn’t take long for Wilson to proudly plant his hands on his hips and smirk over the taller guy agreeing with him, but that softened once this ‘piece of shit grandson’ was mentioned. ‘M-mind your language, Mr. Sanchez. How ungentlemanly!’, was what Wilson would’ve said if he had the chance. Instead, Higgsbury resorted to pouting and dismissing. The lucky dog had family dragged into this world with him, but that might not have been too great of a thing. Who knows what other horrors lurked around! And that grandson couldn’t have been that bad enough to deserve being torn to shreds by some crazy-ass monster, right?

All of that was instantly forgotten though.

“Hungry?” Damn right! Wilson was beaming! Drooling, even! But he was quick to go almost blank-faced, raising an eyebrow. “What in science’s name is that even…?”

Rick didn't spare the smaller scientist a word and yet again grabbed Higgsbury, it wasn't going to do either scientist any good to waste their time in the range of gunfire and whatever that abomination was about to do.

And so Rick booked it with the little man tucked under his arm. He didn't stop running until he couldn't hear the god awful screeching that Trollge made, he found himself stopping for breath in the middle of a park and placed the scientist Wilson upon the ground rather roughly but not enough to harm the little man.

As Trollge completely ravaged the poor guards, Wilson couldn’t help but watch in absolute shock. He didn’t even bother to cover his ears over that terrible screech. “Thank the stars that thing’s on our side.” For the moment anyway, sorta, maybe. Signs of a smirk itching to break through twitched at the corners of his mouth. Now, if luck kept going well; maybe one of the guards could shoot off a tendril or two? Wilson’s fairly quick on his feet, he could probably rush in there to grab and --

Speaking of grabbing, the unfortunate pipsqueak was snatched up by Rick again, and away they went, with Wilson crossing his arms and accepting his fate as ‘One-to-be-carried’.

Once he’s on his feet again, his mouth opened only to quickly shut again. The taller man of science was right, and Higgsbury found himself nodding a tad. “Y-yes, I… Appreciate the ride, fellow scientist.” He sighed as well, giving Rick’s knee a few pats. “Maybe there’s a spot we could lay low for a while? Take a breather to think, yes~?”
