As Alya approached the source of the energy, which appeared to be a black crystal; something happened. The crystal shattered, and shards of jagged crystalline fragments were sent flying at dangerous speeds. Thankfuly Alya was able to quickly throw up a defensive barrier which stopped any physical projectile thrown at it. Surprisingly a girl fell from the crystal and was now kneeling on the floor gasping for air.
"Hello?" Alya asked curiously. "Are you alright?" She added with a concerned tone as she approached the girl.

Alya knew this place had been undisturbed for countless decades; possibly even centuries. 'How could someone be alive down here after so long...'
Alya nodded towards Felix. "Very well, if that is your wish. Best of luck to you. I can find my own way out of the ruins; thanks for the offer though." She said taking her leave.

Alya took the passageway towards the exit, the walked down the long corridor and came towards the room with the multiple pathways.
Interestingly enough she felt a faint hint of life down one of the tunnels. "There shouldn't be anyone here..." Alya mumbled to herself as she slowly walked the source projecting a small magical blue ball of light in her palm to illuminate the dark corridor.
Alya nodded towards Travis' acknowledging his gratitude, then she took a moment to analyze his handiwork. 'The rune he had cast was very impressive, especially coming from someone with a limited mana pool.' Alya couldn't help but smile a bit at how efficient her opponent had been.

Alya thought of her options for a moment as the others passed the Paragon to Felix. She could simply walk away from this whole situation and disappear, she knew going back to the Arcanocracy was out of the question. Thadeus held power there and she definitely would not succeed in getting him excommunicated or even punished for his actions, and most definitely she would not serve someone such as him. "It is what is right. "I must do what is right." She mumbled to herself as she shook her head.

Alya turned to Felix. "If you would have me I wish to join you. Thadeus is a monster and his crimes must be put to an end. I offer my staff and my healing magic to your team if you wish to accept." She said.
Travis' questions interrupted Alya's thoughts. She froze expressionless, but before she could reply a lot of things happened at once. She felt another death, Dominick's aura was gone. The earth shook from the battle between Thadeus and Nemo, the walls around them quickly fell and Thadeus made his departure. The mist from Travis' spells now dispersed due to the larger, more open area.

"Thadeus is definitely insane." She mumbled wearing a frown on her face.
'There is no way I will be able to successfully flee from this situation. I cannot believe Thadeus left me. Though maybe I should be thankful that he did.
Alya reverted her aura to her usual soothing passive aura as she retracted her staff, the glowing runes faded to the dull metallic color of the staff as she put it away. Her barrier however remained active. "Very well, I'll stand down. Just let me heal everyone." Alya said calmly as she twirled her hands and cast a spell. Blue whips of magic flew up and towards Travis, Raiya and Nemo. The magical energy quickly sought out any injuries and quickly patched them up.

Alya faced Nemo as he played with Nevar's body, or at least the upper half of it. "It would be nice if you could at least respect the dead." Alya stated with an annoyed tone. "Now am I to be your prisoner?" She said turning to Felix who seemed to be the one in charge.
'He has robes of the Arcanocracy Arch-mages. Interesting...'
Alya felt the runes as she stepped forward, but before she could react the ground beneath her erupted in flames. Her barrier thankfully absorbed it, however it forced Alya to stop her advance in order to not trigger any further runes.
'I just have to cast a counter-spell to defuse the rest of the runes. All I need is a bit of tim-' Her thoughts were interrupted by a stream of fire blazing through the mist towards her position.

Alya quickly raised her left hand and reinforced her barrier as the conflagration hit. Her magical ward glowed a bright blue as the flames were deflected to the side. She readied a spell when she felt Nevar's passing. "Oh dear..." She mumbled as she hesitated for a moment. Before she could continue she heard Thadeus begin to speak.
'He is insane. His ally just died and he celebrates!'

As Alya's unfinished spell fizzled in her hand she felt another runic spell being set by Travis, however this one was much larger.
I'll have a post up by tomorrow. Weekends are kinda busy for me.
Its that time of semester again; college finals. Currently getting the essentials out of the way until the end of the week. Almost done though so I anticipating posting (late) tomorrow evening.

Best of luck! :)
Alya turned to face Travis as he dodged behind her, only to be met with an explosion of fire and ice. The explosion caused a large cloud of mist to envelop the area. Alya lost sight of Travis, but she had could still sense his life energy thanks to her magic which gave her a general area of where her opponent was.

"Very cleaver." She said out loud as she readied a spell with her left hand. After a few moments she fired a continuous beam of dark purple energy towards the area Travis was in and swept it from left to right. As the spell ended Alya then began to move towards Travis' direction not knowing about the minefield he had set.
Sorry, been a hectic past two days. I'll drop a post tomorrow when I wake up.
Alya quickly pushed forward towards the torrent of incoming flame in an attempt to continue her assault's momentum. Her barrier's energy quickly reacting to the incoming magical attack and increasing the barrier's intensity. The flame surged around her as she pushed through unfazed by the magical attack. Her barrier once again returned to a passive state as the flames ended.

Alya quickly followed up with another strike this time swinging horizontally from the left towards Travis' chest; the runes still glowing a sickly dark purple. She knew that her opponent was intimidated by her from how he has been handling this engagement, and that if she kept pressuring him he would have less and less time to think and compose himself.
