It'd be super nice if Jonathan and Violet were just, like, friends. Nothing weird about it. No ulterior motives or anything, just... friends.

Not like there's a huge difference between 25 and 26. And Jaspin had a harder life than Jonathan, pre-vampirism, much more manual labor. That's probably where the difference comes from. And there's the obvious, Jaspin has been around like two hundred years longer than Jonathan.

You think Abigail will quickly see that Jaspin is still in love with Elizabeth and she's the reason he won't move forward with her?
Thank god for Violet. Her and Jonathan are the doses of sweetness this huge mess of bitterness needs.

It's funny, because Jonathan is physically slightly older than Jaspin, but he really doesn't come across like it. Jaspin's really got this aura about him.

And then a customer of Elizabeth's comes.
And Rowland has to touch her arm and kiss his 'wife's' cheek.
and it gets really hard to pretend he doesn't care.

I mean, just look at their pictures. Jonathan isn't an imposing guy. Jaspin, he kinda is.

My whole family is over. I'm in charge of decorating and making the rolls and keeping my little cousins and the cats from killing each other.

A foolish guess. If Jaspin thinks he's completely over it, he's a fool.
Sadly, I think Jonathan will be a little bit intimidated by Jaspin. Might not last long, I'm not sure. But he's not the kind of person Jonathan's around much. And anyone who elicits that reaction from his mother is to be taken seriously.

Already? Dang. Thanksgiving hasn't even happened, man. Let it happen.

Of course she'd still be mad and bitter about it? Why wouldn't she be?
And then there's Jonathan, who'll be bitter to Jaspin solely because of his mother's bitterness.
There's gonna be a lotta bitter in that room, wherever it may be.

I finally have thanksgiving break, so I can promise it'll be out in the next few days. Thank goodness.

I'm guessing he probably acted like this a lot while they were together. So there's a whole bunch of reasons why seeing him again like that is going to piss her off.
I get that it'd be amusing to him, but why, exactly?

Oh, in my mind, it was Jaspin coming to the Mercer headquarters for this meeting. That was just how it first came to mind, I dunno. Totally not set in stone. On that note, not sure what Elizabeth would bring at all.

That'd get her so riled up, you kidding me? That after all they'd been through, all he'd done to her, that'd be the first thing he said, so calm and collected and 'reasonable'.
To that, she'd say 'get out of my town'.

I believe I've mentioned Elizabeth's likely reaction before. She's going to feel an urge to have sex with him, and simultaneously a far stronger urge to throw something sharp and heavy at his face.
If she happens to be holding anything when she first sees him, yeah, it's gonna cease to be a thing real quick.
