Name: Alister Valencia Gender: Male Age: 25 Side: Pirate Crew: Currently no crew. Position: Pirate Gunslinger, no current employment or Crew position. Appearance: Alister is rather short comparatively, standing only 5'9". However his height is no mention to his strength. Alister is trim, but lean and somewhat chiseled for his height and figure. He is agile and dexterous due to this physique. His eyes are a deep brown with gentle tints of blue. His hair is long and blonde, and thick as well. He almost always keeps it in a pony-tail, and the thick blonde tail loves to bush out, and then slim down to a point at the end, which reaches just above his belt. His skin is tan but fair and rather spotless, save for a single fresh scar. This scar is a long slice, it starts at the top of his right collar bone and then stretches all the way down to the bottom of his right side. It descends at a steep angle, curling around the side very little at the end.
Type: Devil Fruit User Devils fruit: Ursa-Ursa Fruit Model: Dire Bear - Ancient Zoan - The Ursa-Ursa Fruit Model: Dire Bear is a fruit that resembles the shape of a pear, but it upside down on the stem, and the large half is wider and shorter. It's color is a slate grey, with the outer-edge of each swirl being accented a light brown.
Ability: The Ursa-Ursa fruit Model: Dire Bear allows the wielder to transform into a massive Dire Bear, as well as a Hybrid form, as all other Zoan Devil Fruits do, however this fruit is classified as an Ancient Zoan Model, which offers more power than a normal Zoan. However it comes with it's curve, as Alister has yet to master it by any means, and often loses control when transforming, and can even be spurred into a transformation by great emotions.
Personality: Alister is often a cheerful man with a smile and a nod to those who pass him by and a word of welcome to any he might speak to or meet. He values freedom and adventure, the right of the spirit to search and plunder the unknown, however that led him to a bit of a lesser life. He fights and stands for his ideals, and those around him, but isn't unlikely to fight with those who are close, if they try to also go against his beliefs. He can be a firecracker and an ice-cube all at once. Calm and cool one moment, then exploding and popping off all around the next, and it is wise for most to keep their distance.
Bio: (WIP/ Sorry, I need to get some sleep. I will have this up as soon as possible.)
"Darkness and Dust, Revelry and Rust" is a Roleplay concept and design that focuses on intense, dramatic, character development, story drive, and writing. It will feature a host of distinct, unique characters, fighting and surviving through the depths of chaos and destruction this post-apocalyptic world hosts. The World has lain in destruction for a couple hundred years after a world-ending event only referred to as the "Devastation" and while there may be records of the event long lost in the ruins of this world, those present on this day do not entirely recollect the events of the end, it is believed it happened quickly, and in surprise. This adds to the nature of the now unknown demise of the world. Large zones scattered across the lands are uninhabitable, many due to old-world technologies malfunctioning and causing great harm to the land and the lingering effects of these scars. Others are uninhabitable due to the men and women who have went mad of this new world, their crazed minds and wild eyes seek nutrition through the meat of man. These inhuman remnants of people are cannibals who would eat their brother and sister without so much of a blink of an eye, if they weren't just as insane. The world is also host to ravenous beasts, to ask which beast is worse though, that is impossible to answer. The creatures of the new world are ferocious and unhindered in their survival. They do not back down, they do not give up, and they do not quit. The new world has bred new instincts into these old world beings.
The story itself is the drive of the characters, starting in the middle of nowhere east of New York City, just inside the City of Rochester, New York. The survivors of this world, are scattered far and wide, but our crew of survivors will be fighting to follow a rumor. There is "talk" of a large collection of people, able bodies and minds fighting to build a home and a place of safety in south-eastern New York City. The journey across the state will be long and treacherous, full of twist, turns, horror, and tragedy. However the journey is all the Rochester Group has left, with the simple defenses of Rochester faltering, cannibals rampaging in the local areas, and all manner of danger the new world can send upon the unwary is lurking just beneath the darkness and the revelry.
Now, I hope this garners enough attention to go through! I also hope you all come up with a many great characters! If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them below or you are ALL welcome to PM your questions or statements to me.
OOC Notices and Info
Firstly, I would like to note and mention that there may be minute amounts of Post-Apocalyptic Science Fiction, however this is only a possibility depending heavily on the ideas I get for such things and the view of my fellow players as to whether they want it in the Rp or not.
Secondly, I would like to mention a matter of your Characters. Please try to give them emotion, I understand the desire to have the "Lone Soldier" or "Emotionless Survivor" in Rps such as this, but for the Rp to live to it's full potential the characters need some degree of emotion. I have no intentions of controlling you all and forcing you to make characters you dislike, I am just making a note of my opinion.
Thirdly, the Rp is supposed to be a progression, a development ride of intensity. This is why I would ask that everyone start small with their character's equipment and even some of their skills, as to give things to hunt for, build on, and improve as the story unravels and throws curve balls at our cast of Survivors. *Sub-Note: Ammo is not a plentiful commodity in this day an age, so the amount you have should be Realistically Minimalist.*
Factions: The factions are simple, and some of these might not entirely seem like a "Faction" by it's design or nature, but they are listed here for their collective assembly or inherit association as a faction-like construct.
The Cannibals- The cannibals are feral, hungry, men and women of the new world. They scavenge and fight for food and survival in a way most sane people cannot stomach. Their craving for other human meat and flesh has consumed them entirely. They have no issue killing, to the point to where if a pack of them are unable to find food they will pick one of their own and devour them instead. It is surprisingly easy for them as well, they quickly access one of their members and point out the weakest link to become the meal. As feral and uncivilized as they might have become, they do still have a human mind and intellect to many degrees. They still speak, use tools, operate weaponry and equipment, and etc. However they do so more crudely and instinctively. If one desires a weapon the other is holding, they grudging take it and the two will likely fight it out for the right to wield it. Many issues among this man-hungry collective are settled in the same ways.
Rochester Hold-Up Crew The Rochester Hold-Up Crew is the mere simple title given to a handful of survivors fighting their way day-in and day-out in an old Bank located in Rochester, New York. This is the group you found yourself with, thanks to their radio call outs and local painted code markers. However their time has come and now the Cannibals have found in, the Rochester Hold-Up Crew has set out and started to move to a rumored safe zone in south-eastern New York City.
Scav-Stack Scav-Stack is more of an unofficial title to a random person, and number of said people, who decide to horde and collect every possible, usable, slightly valuable object they can stash and carry. These people are often loners and out in the world, some are friendly, some not so much. All that the name tells of a person is that they are hoarders, it never dictates their moral standing or social disposition.
*Note: More may be coming in the future, when ideas come up or suggestions are spoken up.*
History of the "Devastation" WIP, I am still doing a lot to make the details of this as unique but also understandable and not far-fetched as possible.
