I agree with you. The game tends to prefer brevity over accuracy. I think this is why theres this wonder of mods made by the community who often improves the game for the better and lore accuracy. Then theres the nude and sex mods.

Has Koldar travelled to Haakland? If he has, perhaps he could've taken on a job with Ferghus?

As of right now, he has been all around. He favored Kaedwen and Temeria for the most part: Kaedwen for it's terrain and snowy cold climate, it's forests and locales made it a place that struck his heart. However he favored Temeria for it's people, not their racism mind you, but their politeness and their religious nature. While Koldar himself isn't religious to an extent, he values the ideal of belief and faith in what one believes. Koldar holds these not only as a code, but as a virtue.

Anyway, enough rambling from me. He did travel to Haakland for a time, after his hunts in the Blue Mountains and on his way to a place he will likely never speak of to anyone, less they truly get him to deprive himself of personal secrets.
In earnest, I think the idea of the game is just that taking the time to specifically map out every little detail got rather annoying to the developers, so they just decided: "HERE IS TEXTURE 1! Use this. Only use this. It will be easier."

That is why I generally value canon from Games only on major topics. That is only my opinion, I have Pet peeves myself, and with plenty of games honestly. Like I have a pet peeve with Skyrim that in the base game without mods, so much was limited with relationships and marriage, and I say this in the best of ways.

I.e. I often play Khajiit because once upon a time I played Morrowind, got super into lore, and discovered the wonder that is the Khajiit. However, Bethesda decided it would be best to not allow Khajiit players, ANY Khajiit spouses. That is a peeve of mine.

Also, if anyone wants to know Koldar or have previous association with him. We should talk about it before the Rp starts, I completely forgot to mention he is on the table for anyone who wants to have connections/relations/etc. with him.
Character Sheet :

Name: Koldar
Age: 159

Appearance:

Koldar stands roughly six feet and six inches tall and his build is that of a powerful titanic man. He puts many figures to shame, but this was only due to the processes of Mutation he volunteered for at the School of Bear. Koldar's eyes are considered sharper than the average Witcher's, as his Witcher training and mutations were voluntarily more intense and unique to the School of Bear.

Race: Human Witcher
School: Bear

Bio: Coming Soon

Personality: Despite the general conception of a Witcher under full training being that of a Cold, silent person, Koldar is nothing of the like. His time and his being have formed something all it's own. He is boisterous and proud, and rarely quiet, but he isn't without his own beliefs and ideals. The School of Bear taught him how to be a Witcher, but he taught himself how to be a Hunter. He believes not only in the Witcher Code, but a code to hunt down Monsters to assure that he is one day sung about in the taverns for his trophies. He enjoys the hunt, and the way it effects a person, and this is why he often feels most peaceful and most himself when trailing his query.

Weapons:
Koldar of course has his Axe, a uniquely designed war-axe of Witcher Steel. This was his weapon of choice after he broke his Witcher blades during training, and the School Bear saw fit to give the man a weapon worthy of his strength. However he took only a steel Axe, and opted to craft his own tools of the hunt.

The first creation was his Silver Lantern Flail. This weapon is a marvel in it's design, as it is both finely crafted and beautiful, but also strong enough to be swung against a mountain by Koldar. This Flail's lantern is also lit with a unique Sign, one that combines the uses of Igni and an unusual sign that hasn't been seen too often. This combination produces a blue flame that doesn't require a fuel source, and it seems to amplify the effects of Silver onto beasts susceptible to it.

The Second weapon was a much simpler design, as the weapon is a merely an enlarged Crossbow. The Crossbow of the School of Bear were always larger than Cat's, but this one was made for a man who desired to shoot his query from the sky, and nail them to the ground. This mighty weapon, named "Medvedi Zub" or "Bear's Tooth" is one wielded by Koldar when his prey can fly, or when he knows that he must deal a blow long before the prey knows he is close. He carries both steel and silver bolts for the Crossbow as well, to ensure it can be used against all potential prey.

Family/relationships?: Koldar doesn't have much family, his parents are long gone, and the only other person he ever came to know as family was a young huntress, however that story is long and full of moments both close and far from Koldar's heart.
Other:
Yeah, as it goes the idea of a Katana was designed to slice and slash through the specific armor and attire of it's origin era. But the Westerner's blades were more diverse and served more purposes.

Hand-and-a-half Swords(the sword often referred two as a Longsword) was the battlefield mainstay for it's toughness, sharpness, and power. it could slice, chop, and pierce all in proper hands. Then you get shorter blades, thrusting blades, curved blades, and the commonly misinformed "Two-handers" such as Flamberges and Claymores, which were only meant to disrupt pike-lines. The large blades could cut through handles of the spears, or wedge a hole and allow the fighter into the face of a pikeman. But they were never meant for dueling or for general combat.

Sorry.. I don't mean to seem like a know it all.. I just really like some topics and like throwing my two cents into the mix.. Plus I hate the anime glorification of a lot of things.

You mean a fallacy that basically gives witchers a scot-free pass...

Well, I was more so making a Teemo reference than anything, but ideally yeah. A Code of Writ that gives them a scot-free pass. The pass just so happens to be attached to a giant Axe.

Hey man I can take some blue igni. A bit. If you can hit me. >:^]

Never underestimate the power of the Scout's code.. I mean Witcher's code.
<Snipped quote by ManoftheNorth>

Yeah, the cat school is... complicated. Anyway, looking forward to roleplaying with all these Witchers. (Don't try to kill me guys)

FLAIL TO THE FACE BOI!
<Snipped quote by ManoftheNorth>

Your character looks great. I love the flail also. I do have a thing for the bear school though, they're awesome.

Sadly I personally have never played any of the Witcher games or read any of the writings, but from the lore and the detailing of the creator of this Universe, I love it.

Bear is by far my favorite school in my recent researching of The Witcher Universe, the Bear School is most befitting to my personality as a person, and it fits many of my character designs well. However, with that note comes the note that I have grown to despise the School of Cat most of all in the lore. They betrayed the ideal of the Witcher Code and turned assassins, killing people as freely as monsters, or even more so in some cases.

Yeeeessss! Bear school is so great!

XD Thanks, I am not sure if that is happiness at my character, or just the school.
