Current Just because you can have 36 attacks per turn that threaten a crit on a roll of 14+ doesn't mean it's worth doing.

Isn't it weird how you can start a private conversation with yourself?

Tarquin tensed as he saw little movement. He knew from experience that old, mostly abandoned places always seemed to have more than their fair share of monsters. He considered informing the others about it, but since they had decided to take the other direction the tall elf just shrugged. "One of those damn ghouls just slipped to the stairs in the... West. I intend to go after it. You coming with?" With a little smile the bard unsheathed his rapier and began heading towards the western stairwell.
Tarquin tilted his head slightly and kept examining the creature. "Well... I am going to rule out it being a ghast due to the lack of a horrible stench... I'd say it is some kind of a ghoul or maybe a zombie." He glanced towards the direction the others had already went. "I think we should go with the others. Just in case they get in to a scuffle." as the tall elf began following after the others he flashed a little smile at Eve. "I'm not as good a swordsman as my brother, but at least I know the pointy end is supposed to go to the enemy."
The tall elf wiped the blade of his rapier to his surcoat very carefully and then sheathed the weapon. "I must admit I am not quite fond of snakes myself." He began examining the strange humanoid creature that had attacked them.
Uuuuhhh... something someting Europe time.
The tall elf very calmly moved the tip of the rapier to rest against the floor, making sure the snake's teeth wouldn't be touching anyone. "Now, would someone get this damn snake off of my arm?"
For the first time during this whole little adventure Tarquin unsheathed his rapier, nimbly dashed past the hole and aimed a swift stab towards the snake's head just as it was about to sink it's teeth in June's leg.
Tarquin examined the situation cautiously while glancing around. "I hope there aren't more of those damn monsters in here..." He mumbled and shook his head.
Tarquin could sense some kind of a danger, he tensed noticeably and glanced towards Rockmar and June. He moved swiftly towards the room with the hole in the middle and hoped the enchantments on his footwear would allow him not to slip on the slimy surface. To the tall elf's luck and surprise he wasn't slipping. The enchantment held and he paused at the edge of the hole. From the slightly lower angle he could see something in the ceiling. "Above you, danger." Was pretty much all he could think of to say.
Tarquin decided for the time being head back to the cave, but he stayed away from the hole in the floor. In his opinion the hole would only bring them more trouble than what it was worth. "If you folks need a hand just give me a shout."
Tarquin actually laughed at Eve's words about only a god or a goddes being able to seal the kind of a beast they were most likely up against. He actually wiped the side of his eye and straightened up after a while. "A powerful enough priestess will do, or a priest if that is more your thing." He managed to keep himself from laughing more at the in his opinion quite naive girl. "You'd be surprised how many gods are real." The tall elf shook his head slightly and rolled his eyes. "Now, my dear brother could tell you a bit more about real gods, but sadly... Well, he isn't here."
