Name: Ceara Eachaidh
Sex: Female
Race: Human
Age: 26
Religion: None
Backstory: Ceara Eachaidh was born in tribal Cainleath, a land independent from the Kingdom of Bryon in every way except officially. Her village was small, and her family lived as sheep farmers. She routinely accompanied her father into the nearby cities to sell their meat and sheepskin, where she was free to wander the streets until it was time to return home. The larger the city, the more filled with wonder the girl became. When she was thirteen, a group of nobles hailing from Cainleath raised their banners in rebellion, seeking true independence from the Bryon King. Ceara’s father answered the call to war, and he never returned. The rebellion began to collapse, and soon the armies of Bryon were marching into Cainleath. Her village, noted for the volunteers that it had provided to the rebels, was attacked and burned to the ground. She, her mother, and both of her siblings were captured and sold into slavery, separated and shipped to different parts of the world. Ceara ended up in the Bryonic capital of Ceowald, where she was employed as a servant to a Duke that had distinguished himself in the war. He treated her roughly for several months, but the girl was not about to spend her life serving this man who had killed her kinsman. She planned a fairly elaborate escape and disappeared onto the streets of Ceowald, where the rampant crime and poverty forced her to turn to thievery to survive. After a few years, she began to get good at it. On her seventeenth birthday, she bought passage to the mainland with stolen gold and left Bryon behind, arriving in the strange land of Narbos. She travelled through the mainland, pickpocketing, stealing, and robbing the corpses of knights and soldiers felled in many great battles.
As she was scouring the battlefield of an engagement between two great armies, she discovered the corpse of a Dravirian household guard. Ceara attempted to remove the obsidian ornament on the hilt of his sword, but stopped as the man she had thought a corpse began to weakly protest. The thief quickly gave the wounded slave her water, letting him drink while she apologized profusely. After a short moment of thought, Ceara decided to help the wounded soldier, and spent the next few weeks bringing him food and using her basic understanding of medicine to heal his injuries the best she could. Nima made a full recovery, and when he was on his feet, he offered to leave the service of his masters and pledge his life to Ceara. Although she rejected his pledge, she let him travel with her, and soon, the two were friends.
Ceara spent the next couple of years helping Nima evade his former masters, stealing, and travelling through Narbos, Asmeinland, and Illyrica.
Motivation: Htraknu is bound to have bundles of dragon gold - Ceara intends to take more than her fair share once he’s dead.
Magic: Ceara cannot use magic.
Skills/Strengths: Ceara is handy with picking both pockets and locks, and she is proficient in a certain brand of stealth that can only be learned from years of hard experience. She has several knives and daggers, and she knows how to use them well enough to get the jump on most people.
Weaknesses: Ceara tends to be untrustworthy and not willing to trust - she has a hard time forging any sort of relationship with anyone except Nima. She is arrogant, spiteful, and generally unpleasant to everyone she meets. This tends to get her into a great many fights, and as good as she is with her blades, any prolonged combat would probably result in a sound defeat.
Gear: Ceara usually wears plainclothes, with both her knives hidden on her person at all times.

Name: Nima
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Age: 34
Religion: Nima follows the Path of the Sacred Flame, but not publicly.
Backstory: Nima was born into slavery, raised the harsh eastern nation of Sindus to be a soldier that would be bought and sold to anyone across the globe. Compassion, empathy, fear - all emotion was painstakingly drilled out of him as he grew up with steel in his hand. By five, the instructors had forced him to strangle rats. At eight, he killed a cat. At twelve, he would stab and kill another condemned slave to complete his mental conditioning. Now, he was to be taught the art of war. Nima would need to know the sword, the shield, the spear, and the charge. He would ride to battle on horseback, but his masters did not ease his dismounted training. At eighteen, Nima was proficient in all his weapons, and ready to be sold.
He was sold to a shadow elf in Rosiland, who had taken a liking to using Dravirian soldiers in his household guard. Nima was assigned to guard the armoury - a lucky assignment, as his comrades that were ordered to guard the noble’s wives and daughters were castrated as a precaution. His life remained unchanged for many years, during which he simply guarded, trained, and slept. Then, one day, his master went to war. Nima joined the host, and although it was smaller than some he had seen in Sindus, it was still an impressive sight. It was comprised mostly of slaves, with only the vanguard filled with ranks of shadow elves. The army marched to war, meeting another army in a pitched confrontation. As the battle raged on, it became clear that Nima’s master was tactically inept. His centre collapsed, and although the Dravirian lines in the left held against enemy at their front and now their flank, a cavalry charge directed at the rear broke the hard formation and allowed the enemy to slaughter the Dravirian ranks. Nima was stabbed, and he went down, trampled by the advancing enemy.
When he woke, he was being robbed by a strange woman with red hair. He raised his voice in protest, but only began to cough weakly. The thief began to care for him, and once his injuries had healed and it became clear his master had long since fled the field, he decided to accompany this Ceara wherever she went. After all, a soldier needs a commander.
Motivation: Nima will follow Ceara wherever she goes, and if that means slaying an ancient and incredibly powerful dragon, then he will go happily.
Magic: Nima has been trained to use some combat magic with the help of beastblood, but his knowledge is far from extensive.
Skills/Strengths: Nima is expertly trained, virtually fearless, and completely without mercy. In battle, he cares for nothing except defeating the enemy. Becoming proficient with all of his weapons - the shield, the spear, the sword, and the charge - at a very young age, he does little but practice and wait for the next fight. In single combat or fighting in rank, he is a truly a force to be reckoned with.
Weaknesses: Nima has difficulty making individual decisions, and although he is able to make suggestions and think independently, he is unable to act on most things without an order or a plan. This makes him a very inflexible fighter, which can sometimes be detrimental.
Gear: Nima wears a full suit of chainmail, with overlapping steel plates that cover more vital areas. His helmet is conical in the Dravirian style, and his shield is painted with a red triangle - the symbol of Sindus, his home. He carries a sword, a large kite shield, and a spear.
