Bio: Mason was born Brisbane, Australia to Mary and Tom Watson. His mother didn’t work and stayed home to take care of Mason and their home while his dad was a boat racer. At the age of 10, Mason’s father died during a boating accident. The death of Mason’s father devastated Mason and his mother. Most of the days his mother never got out of bed. Mason felt it was his responsibility to take of his mother and missed weeks of school doing so. Taking care of his mother and the house started to overwhelm him and he was forced to call his Uncle Connor for help. His Uncle helped Mason take care of the house and made sure his mom ate and took therapy. Soon a couple months later, his mother was back to normal and was already dating a new guy named Oliver. When Mason was 10, his mother and her new husband, Oliver, had a son named Ellis. Since Day 1, Mason thought of it as his responsibility to take care of Ellis. They grew up to be more than brothers. Mason always looked up for Ellis when he was in trouble.
Mason and his family decided to take a 2 week ski-vacation to Colorado when Mason was 21. They stayed in a hotel that was able to fit them all. There was a bedroom for their parents, a pull-out couch for Mason, and roll-away bed right beside of it for Ellis. Ellis was always trying to keep up with his older brother, always trying to be like him. On one slope, Mason hit a ramp and did a 360 on his snowboard. Ellis followed shortly behind trying to mimic Mason but fell short and breaking his ankle. Mason spent the next 3 days in the hotel room with Ellis because he didn’t want to leave Ellis alone. On the 4th day after Ellis broke his ankle, their mother went to the store to get groceries for the hotel room. Mason and Ellis were watching TV while Oliver was sitting at the desk on his computer. They heard a thump on the door and some screaming outside. Oliver went to go open it; a dead body fell on top of him. The body had a sick greenish/brownish tint to his skin with patches of hair missing from his head. It looked to as he was missing an ear also with blood dripping down the right side of his head while pieces of skin were peeling off across its face and arms. The clothes it wore were torn and baggy and barely on the things. Mason took a step closer to get a better look when he noticed the thing was moving. The thing took a bite out of Oliver’s shoulder. Mason stared in horror as the thing started ripping the flesh from Oliver. He rushed into the bedroom slamming the door behind him. He yelled at Ellis to help him move the couch in front of the door. Ellis could see the fear in his brother’s eyes and helped him pushed the couch in front of the door then helped him put the table on top of it. Mason explained what was going on not wanting to keep anything from his little brother and they put the news on to find out more themselves
After about a day, the power went out in the hotel. Mason checked the window and saw a few people… or things roaming around. He went to the kitchen with a backpack and threw in all the food he could manage to find and a couple of kitchen knives. Ellis grabbed his own bag and filled it with some blankets and pans. They moved the furniture and cracked open the door. Mason saw that the door was left open and where Oliver was once laying, was just a bloody mess. Mason guided Ellis through the room trying to hide the site from him. They crept through the shadows of the hotel making sure none of those things found them. They got out the hotel safely and found a grocery store. They rummaged through and traveled east making do with what they were able to find.
After days of traveling with no food and very little water, they saw people in the first time in forever. They ran as fast as they can to the group hoping they would give them food and water. The group they ran into was well organized and helped them. After staying with them for a week or so they invited Mason and Ellis to stay and be a part of their group. Mason and Ellis quickly agreed and soon became close with their new family. During the few months with the group, they heard rumors of a colony in Canada. The group was torn between people of wanted to go and those who wanted to stay. Mason wants to go to Canada because he feels it is safer there for Ellis than where they are now
(Sorry that Ellis' picture is so small :I)
