Arcturius thought for a moment about Laslo's offer. If anyone were to best fit the mysterious aspect of the gods, it was the Triplicate. Not even the fellow pantheon knew what they were up to. "You know much of our actions, Master Builder, but I am unaware of the champion you have selected. Who is it you wish us to empower?"

'I need to be somewhere else with my attention, brothers, you are welcome to observe, but do not interfere'
Erä stared into nothingness, his eyes on his own realm.
The two Gods felt they were given access to see through Erä's eyes

Quintus floated through the crowds, looking for someone, or more importantly something of interest. He always took time to check out the villagers festival, mostly because he liked to see what they had tried to invent or create. Often time it was something he had already thought of ages ago, however it was enjoyable to see someone else gain the same idea he had. He would also appear to a select person and give them pointers on how to improve their invention. He rarely chose a champion. In fact, the last time he had it was some man hundreds of years ago, he had already forgotten the mans name. Dadylus or something? The most he remembered of the man was that he was a genius inventor, one of the best he had ever seen. In fact, the man had even came up with something that he, the god of imagination, hadn't. That was more than enough to make the man his champion. He had to laugh when one of the humans thought of him at the rose thing. Sure building things and giving them life was his thing, but it would have been way better then just a rose. He'd probably have created an intelligent rose, that spoke and could interact with people. And why not make it singing? That sounded interesting. Hmm ... he'd have to work on creating intelligent, singing roses when he got back to his workshop. Quintus became so busy thinking about the idea of the roses, that he momentarily started to become visible to the humans. He was often so absorbed by daydreams that he was considered quite clumsy. One of the main reasons that he almost never engaged in any kind of combat.

Satúm looked at the sky, then at his drink, and then at the sky again.
'I either need a lot more, or a lot less of this.' and he finished his mug, stumbling off to find another

Jade wander who the God was the raven was telling her about. She didnt ask though. She didnt want to offend the God. She had never paid much attention to the various Gods and Goddesses. There were simply too many and she didnt have the time to dedicate to learning about them. "I suppose I am not one yet. But I would like to be."she looked around studying the place the raven had taken her. The God of the hunt maybe? Or maybe the God of the forest? But why would they be interested in her?

A horn was heard, echoing through the forest. From behind a tree, a large dog emerged, followed by another, and a grey wolf, and a giant bear!
20 creatures walked towards Jade, and in their midst, walked Erä, leaning on his spear with every step.
He wore nothing over his bronzed leather skin. The empty eyes of a stag's skull looked at Jade.

'Fear not' Said the dog
'For you have been chosen by Erä, lord of the Hunt' Added the bear
'He is here to test you' finished the wolf.

'He chose you, because you are a survivor' whispered the raven in awe.
'The ways of the primal world are mysterious, it is not only about the hunt it self'
The raven landed on Jade's shoulder
'Use your strengths, YOUR strengths to prove your worth, my dearest Jade'

Erä gestured with his spear, and a small wolf walked out from the pack, growling at Jade.
The raven flew up 'I can't help you!'
The fork in Jade's hand shivered, and when she looked down she saw she was holding a small, bone trident.

"I will fight to survive. I am very clever." Jade told the raven. She didnt know why she was talking to it other then it was taking to her. She looked around the tent. There wasnt alot that she could use as a weapon. She smiled when she found a fork. She picked it up and held it tightly. "The best weapons are the ones that your enemy doesn't expect." She said. She wasnt a fighter really. She had stopped fighting years ago. But now she had a chance and a possible reason to do so she was going to do her best

'Good to hear!' the raved called, now with his own voice
'I am starting to like you!'
The raven flew at her head, folding his wings around her face, making a small cut on her cheek with his talons
'sorry..'
When the raven flew off again they were no longer in a tent.

The raven sat down on a low branch, a few meters away from Jade.
Around them a giant trees towered above the mossy ground. In the distance, the sun could be seen on some sort of field, but it was far away.
'I am sorry about the cut, but you won't feel that for long'
On jade's face, the small gash started to close and with a pricking sensation, it was gone, as if it had never been there.
'That is one of the advantages to being His' the raven told her proudly.
'Although you aren't really His yet of course'
There was some concern in the raven's voice now

"Well met, Eramaa. Have you taken any champions yet to aid your cause?" Arcturius stood quietly, once more invisible to the human world. "The night is yet young, and mortals are flooding to the altar. Surely some are still following the ancient ways." A pause. "Have you seen your brother, by any chance? He skipped out on our last game of chess."

"Tevan is doing as he always is Arcturius, Playing with girls and flowers"
Erämaa sank down to kneel, leaning on his spear
"see this girl? She was to be an offering to us, so I told the man to hunt her.
You will not believe the madness of this mortal! Thinking it would please me somehow, he starts chasing her.. on hands and knees!
Fool..
But this girl.. she interests me. She fled, with wit and agility. All she has to do is prove she can also fight, not even win, and I will bring her to my hunting grounds to make her mine."
Erämaa looked at Arcturius
"If she is worthy, I might even make her one of my brides one day, it has been long since I had sons on this world.
Did you know she is a professional birther?"

Jade didn't question her good luck. She didn't know what God had helped her. She didn't care. She would honor who ever had chosen her. But first she had to escape. She looked over her shoulder at the guy behind her. She might not be the fastest runner in the world but she was clever. She might be able to lose him in the crowd. She ducked down low hiding her tall body among the shorter. Then she slide into an open tent. That should give her time to catch her breath and think.

Something black shot through the tent flaps
'Well done little pray.' the raven said upon the panting girl.
'He likes the way you think, and act'
Erä wondered if the silly man would find her, that would prove interesting.
She fled like a true creature of the forest floor, but when driven in a corner, would she fight?

"Would you fight to survive?" Asked the raven, now with a deep voice, raw like the wolf's

Skemmdarvagur watched from his realm taking care to note not only what each person was bringing but the attributes of each mortal. To him the sacrifices of thousands would pale in comparison to the loyalty of the one right person, and here he thinks he has found it. A young man not offering anything physical but that which will test every fiber of his mortal coil: a promise of choice. "You have an unusual offering, but one that can show honor far above what others have brought." Skemmdarvagur spoke to him in a low whisper only he could hear. As he continued Satúm would find that all other noises fade. "I am Ulykke, Master of Devastation! I find you worthy of being my Champion. In time I will make myself known to you, but for now, go and enjoy the festival. Eat drink and be merry."

Satúm did not expect this, but then again, he expected nothing really.
'Um.. a promise of loyalty to destruction?'
Satúm frowned in thought
'But I love the world, I love life and all the pleasures it has to offer!
How can I be loyal to the idea of destroying all that I so enjoy?'

A little bit puzzled and confused Satúm wandered back down to the festivities to drink the first thing he could find
In Godmode 10 yrs ago Forum: Free Roleplay
Satúm enjoyed his day greatly. He enjoyed his mead, his women and meat,
but when stumbling past the temple stairs, he was reminded of his predicament.
'Damn.. still no offering..'
He looked at his half empty cup 'Could I perhaps.... Nah..'

'Here goes nothing, literally'
Satúm took one last swig, threw his mug on the gound, whiped his mouth and started walking up the white steps.

Satúm, calmed by the drink, walked to the alter, empty handed, he had a plan, a bold plan. quite clever he thought.
'To all the divines, whose eyes pierce clouds and flesh I call!'
He raised his empty hands to the sky
'I bring you.. NOTHING'
a confident smile on his lips
'nothing physical that is.
I offer a promise whoever will accept it!
Any promise!
Who will take my offer, oh great devines!'
