Overall, she is a sweet and kind girl, and is never one to openly show that she is afraid of anything.
RelationshipsFather: Dominic Valkov, disgraced member of the Valkov daemon hunting bloodline in Russia. He left Heidi, her mother, and her two brothers in rural Finland before the triplets were ever born and has not been seen since. There is no love lost there, and Heidi has no wish to ever meet him.
Mother: Elina Pajari, Finnish carpenter, non-hunter, and single mother. Raised Heidi and her brothers on her own and knows nothing about daemon hunting other than Dominic had claimed to be one. Taught Heidi all she knows and loves her daughter (and sons) more than anything.
Siblings: Fellow triplets Conrad and Klaus. Beloved younger brothers of Heidi and did not inherit their father's daemon-hunting gene.

BackgroundBio: Heidi was born along with her two brothers in rural Finland, knowing only her carpenter mother and nothing about her mysterious father or his supernatural occupation. Se grew up not knowing a thing about demons besides those in faerie tales, and had a relatively normal childhood. She became quite skilled in wood-working and metal-working while helping her mother and her brothers in their workshop, and found she loved to work with her hands. She dreamt of taking over her mother's shop with her brothers when she grew older. At least until she developed a malignant brain tumor at the age of ten. After surgeries and many attempts of chemotherapy that only seemed to make her condition worse, her desperate family began putting her on natural herbal remedies in a last ditch effort to save her.
One day while attempting to utilize the healing properties of a Finnish sauna, she encountered an old, wizened sprite who nearly attacked her. Then just before injuring her, he realized she could see him. Seeing how sick she was, the sprite, Bannick, offered her a deal: he would prevent the cancerous tumors in her brain from growing in exchange for an escape from the bathhouse and into the world. Ecstatic at such a marvelous deal, she accepted the deal with the demon, unwittingly selling years of her life away to a daemon in a grossly unbalanced blood contract, shaving nearly 10 years off of her already shortened lifespan. From then on Bannick stuck to her like glue as he gradually healed her, shrinking the tumors over four years until they were small enough to be benign. By that time, the two had become inseparable companions.
After her cancer had successfully and magically gone into remission, Heidi threw herself into learning more about the mysterious sprite that had saved her life and was now seemingly latched onto her. She learned through her mother that her father was once part of a large daemon hunting family and had been a daemon hunter himself, and that all this time her almost inhuman endurance and strength against her cancer and in her work and her stalwart willpower were products of her daemon hunting abilities. However, as she befriended her new daemon friend and got to know more about him and his kind, she realized that she hardly knew anything about who she was or what mysterious creatures really lurked in the shadows.
And wanting to know more about what and who she really was, she applied to Aulani Academy.
Miscellaneous: Is fluent in Finnish and Swedish and knows some Russian and a bit of Norweigan. Speaks fairly well in English, and has a realtively thick accent.

Powers: Bannik is quick in mind and in body, but he is not physically strong. Has a short temper, and should he attack, he uses his sharp claws or his large hands to rake and/or choke a foe. More often than not, however, he relies on trickery, daemon diplomacy, or his various abilties:
Divination = has lesser powers of divination, and can see brief images of what might be in steam or collections of water. However, he will only answer questions in the form of "yes" or "no".
Steam Manipulation and Steam Cleansing = As a spirit of a bathhouse, Bannik can manipulate the temperature of the water in the air. He can also use this steam as a method of healing, should he so choose to be generous enough to do so.
Boil = In a pinch, Bannik can make a nearby small source of water instantly come to a boil for a short time. He can only make fresh water boil. If threatened, Bannik throws this boiling water at his assailant.
