Shiori is actually a very rude person. She is commanding and in general does not like being below anyone. That is why when the last student council graduated she took over as the president. There she could have the most power and be "above" everyone in the school in a manner of speaking. She is an extremely mature person, she is one of those people that would be the most likely to be president in a year book and know where the want to go to University before they are even in high school. She, even though she is deaf, likes to listen to music. Her hearing aids help her a bit, but she does not like to wear them. She only likes to wear them when she listens to music, even then she can barely hear the music she just likes the slight voices and guitars she can make out from the vibrations every once and a while. It really is her only hobby.

She isn't a rude person because she likes it, it just suits her best. If she doesn't make friends she doesn't have to write in a notebook all day because she the friends don't know sign language, or she doesn't want to wear her hearing aids. She does want to make friends, but it is too hard for her and she knows that the energy spent trying to make friends can be used in a much better way.

Background:
Shiori grew up in a fairly well off family, but she never really knew them. She could not talk or even really try to communicate with them because no one cared to learn sign language in her home. Her father decided to try and get some communication up he would pay for he operation to get some hearing aids. Those could barely help Shiori out and she could still barely hear. Her parents did not like the hassle of taking care of her when she entered high school so they Sent her to Yamaku. She made little friends and has learned to be by herself because no one was every really there for her when she was a kid.

There is a school that sits on top of a mountain in a quent rural town. Yamaku High is a school for the physically challenged and/or mental issues that require constant care. Whether you are blind, deaf, missing a leg, and even if you are scared of society you are welcome in this school. You can stay on campus in the girls or boy dorms, or if you want you can commute to the school. With the new school year starting all are welcome, new transfer students or returning students. What is Katawa Shoujo

Katawa Shoujo (Disability Girls) is a romance visual novel covering the life of Hisao following his heart attack and subsequent transfer to a specialist school, along with the romance he finds there. Inspired by a concept sketch by RAITA, Katawa Shoujo is the debut production by Four Leaf Studios, an international project originating on 4chan's /a/ board.

Personality:
Fuyuki is driven by the desire to prove that despite his muteness, he is still an order of magnitude more capable and intelligent than those around him. His unique assets and analytical mind have allowed him to become Yamaku's premier information broker, the man who knows everything about everyone at all times; in truth he only knows what he hears, but allowing the myth to spread serves his interests.

Despite this self-serving mindset, Fuyuki is a loyal friend to those who prove themselves in his eyes. He respects guile and intelligence, while disdaining those of an honest temperament. Naturally, this is all under the surface and most will only ever see his omnipresent smile and teasing sense of humour.

Background:
The only son of the Todoroki family was conceived during a second wave of Thalidomide use in Japan. The side effects had yet to be definitively proven and his mother was prescribed the drug for much of her pregnancy. Fuyuki was one of the fortunate ones, born with a relatively minor defect; his vocal chords fused and inert, he would be mute his entire life. For over a decade Fuyuki was unable to communicate bar writing notes and his friendships suffered for it; he was never considered a 'normal' boy, not by his teachers or fellow students and was treated as a hindrance by those around him. Even at a young age, Fuyuki understood why he was treated the way he was and yet refused to accept the reasoning behind it. He vowed to outsmart every single one of them and prove his worth.

When he was twelve, Fuyuki's parents bought him a PDA, wrist mounted and capable of playing the words he typed aloud in real-time. They hoped that it would help him to become a normal member of society, to gain friends and more. Instead he used it to record conversations and take notes on the actions of others, not to use against them but to build up his own information network; his power base, as it were. By the time he entered Yamaku, his skill as a broker had blossomed to a frightening degree and after a first year of rebuilding his database, soon became known as the one who knew everything that happened on campus.

Other Info:
Fuyuki has been blessed with a slender, effeminate frame and stands a mere 4"7". His entire life he has been mistaken for a girl and has learned how to use his charms to his advantage. If he puts on girl's clothes (as he often does to collect information), only those who know him well can identify him. Although he would never admit it, Fuyuki has grown fond of the hobby and often travels to the next city over to browse high class shops.

Personality:
Arata is an introverted character. There hasn't been a time where he recalled enjoying the company of others. He prefers thinking about things on his own and seldom makes an effort to push his ideas across during discussions. He accepts whatever he is given, and deals with it, even if it is not to his preference. However, despite this straightforward mindset, his inner thoughts tend to be complicated, and this results in a simple matter becoming overblown in his mind. For example, an errand to buy groceries would end up becoming a market prices survey at the hypermart. Arata is extremely curious and loves learning new things, and he doesn't hesitate to pick up something new. He does not fare well in team sports, though, and generally tends to avoid them. He will quickly become adept at things he like, but will be at a loss as to which to invest more time in. He loves to draw and play the piano a little bit more than his other interests.

Background:
Arata was born in an average Japanese family. He lived a normal childhood, albeit being less sociable as compare to other kids his age. His teacher always worried about him, and encouraged him to talk to his peers more. Young children tended to be curious about the littlest things, and one day when Arata was 8, they were brought out to play, during hide and seek, Arata found a gap in the fence opposite the field they were located at. He attempted to crawl through the gap, and nearly succeeded, when the fence semi-collapsed, trapping him within. Fear immediately struck him and he started to yell for help, but his peers and teacher were on the other side of the field. Coupled with Arata having a small voice since birth, hope seemed to be minute. In the end, Arata was trapped, immobile and helpless for an entirety of four hours, alone. When his teacher finally found him, Arata was shaking profusely from the fear, and his voice had become hoarse from all the shouting.

Ever since he got diagnosed with claustrophobia, his already small personal space became even smaller. He withdrew into a psychological shell and refused to come out. The situation was so severe that he couldn't stand people within 3 meters of him. After intensive therapy for a few years, however, his condition got better and he would suppress it every now and then with the drugs prescribed to him. He doesn't like taking them, however, as he didn't believe himself to be sick. He believed that his claustrophobia was merely a part of his personality and didn't like the thought of suppressing it. He tried to live as per normal, going back to school at the age of 15, having received private tutoring for 6 years. He intended to revert to the lifestyle he had before, but it didn't work out. After a mere term, the teachers were having trouble with Arata hyperventilating all of a sudden when he felt too cramped in the small classroom. He was introduced to Yamaku High, where he was told his disabilities would be taken care of. Upset at being labelled as a 'disabled', but unable to think of any alternative, he kept to his accepting mindset and went for the transfer.

Other Info:
Arata is him without the glasses and hair swept completely to the side, revealing both eyes.
Arata is 168 cm (5' 6'') tall, which is around the average for boys his age. He weighs 54 kg (120 pounds). His body is relatively skinny, and his physique gives off the impression of a lanky street basketballer. His eyes are a metallic grey, and his clothing of choice is a plain t-shirt and loose shorts. All his apparel must give him absolutely freedom to move about, otherwise he will feel restricted and may trigger a relapse.

So, basically if you do not know what Katawa Shoujo it is a Visual Novel Game. This game takes place at a high school for the disabled, and what is meant by that is a broad spectrum of things. It can mean the loss of limbs, mental disabilities such as double personality or extreme social fear (not for down syndrome children), or even things such as heart problems or physical conditions that need constant care (deaf, blind, etc.). This school doubles as a living place for most of the students that can stay in the dorms or live in the small town that is next to the school, which is placed fairly high on a mountain.

So now that the basics are out of the way I want to see if anyone would be interested in doing something like this. Some Original Characters with disabilities living life with them, making new friends, and maybe even finding love. There is much restriction for this roleplay, it is pretty much just a high school roleplay with a few surprises here and there. If you are interested just leave a message here.
