His whole body getting pushed violently back as shadows poured off him to form a substitute, the clone only half forming in time to take the hit. The lightning ripping through the clone and hit lith who while un-grounded couldn't fully take the hit, sending the remainder through max's arm. Pain surging in his chest from his side mixed with a tingling numbness from the electricity passing through his body leaving him momentarily unable to move. Frozen in place he used lith's ability rather than trying to move and risking losing what defense he had with lith stuck in front of him and geth by his side due to how he landed, focusing energy into lith and starting to move the roots in the ground and forcing them to move out from under the man who attacked him before launching up out of the ground to attack, causing the ground to drop about half a foot as the roots attack.
