Character Name
Lamont Jacob Belfour

Age
15

Gender
Male

Appearance
Tall at almost six foot and a little awkward. His shoulders are a little to big for his weight, but he seems to add a pound every couple of months this last year, the boy coming into his body more. His muscles are even starting to look more defined. His light muddy brown eyes are often crinkled up in a smile that makes his charming face light up even more. Black, slightly wavy hair kept short.

Personality
Lamont is that quite southern gentlemen. While he can, and does, talk rather loudly, he’s polite and respectful until you anger him. Then he’s a raging bull to be avoided at all cost. He can be a bit of a spitfire when occasion calls for it but more often than not he is the slow and friendly sorta fellow. He’s always trying to see the good in people and not dwell on what very well maybe a very awful thing about them.

House
Gladium

Bio
Lamont was born to American mother and French father down in a small farm town outside Atlanta, Georgia. His parents, both purebloods, raised him in a hard working home that didn't rely on magic to do a whole lot. There was tension in town though because of the inter-racial marriage of his parents. Lamont though, went unbothered by the words and insults tossed at him and his mother for most of his early childhood. Even now he doesn't take offense to them, just takes them and laughs them away knowing them all to just be fools. He was relieved when his letter came for the Salem Academy, hoping to escape the South and some of the prejudices there. Mostly now, he gets picked on for his way of talking. Which still doesn't bother him. And at least no one is making fun of his momma anymore.

Skills
Strengths
*He's a good cook, which doesn't do him a lot of good in school, but makes him feel better when he's at home and can take care of his parents some.
*Very compassionate with animals, magical or otherwise and seems to have 'ranger/druid' animal attraction with them. Especially dangerous kinds of animals.
*Transfiguration is one of the easier classes for him and he has pranked a few friends by changing their books or clothes into other things just when they were in need of them.

Weaknesses
*Sometimes a little to naive or forgiving. Has on occasion let people walk all over him before he stood his ground to defend himself.
*His temper can get the better of him sometimes and it's landed him a in a deal of trouble growing up.

Classes
The required for fifth years with Care of Magical Creatures and Divination as electives.

Wand
Maple, 10", Hippogriff feather core.

Pet
A big old tomcat named Mister Fancy Paws (when he was eight), normally just called Mister. He's a tuxedo cat with white on his chest, his front two paws, his right ear, and the tip of his tail.
"Because the beach, or the pool, is fun Tai," Sylvia chuckled to herself mostly, rolling her eyes at her friend. "There are boys there and everything." She waved at Cammy as she settled in, pulling out the big text book. She listened to Tai go on about being bored in the summer because she'd finished her homework early. And of course she wasn't going to finish Sylvia's homework for her, why ever would she think that?

But when she pointed out her parents, the other girl pushed to her knees and leaned, looking out the window to the couple that she'd indicated. "They look so out of place," she said with a little laugh. "But it's good they came, yeah? You being a witch isn't going to change when you get out of school and all that..." But she knew that Tai was at least a little happy about it, she could hear it in her tone.

She sat back in her seat, settling down to maybe nap while they waited before Tai finally offered to do her homework for her. "You're the best, you know," she said as she sat up and pulled her stuff out of her trunk above her head. "I really mean it."

I'll have my new character up tonight, I promise! So, I'll get them to join in on your cart!

I'll likely have a new Gladium male up...tomorrow, along with an IC post for him and Sylvia.
Which house is lacking in characters with the older ones gone? >.>
Sylvia beamed when Tai opened the door for her. She glanced down at the other girl's cat, giving Merlin a friendly little wave even if the cat looked about as pleased as its owner did about her being there. But she knew Tai, and Merlin by extension, and she knew that it wasn't a truly deep displeasure about sharing the compartment with her. She tossed her broom in onto the free bench across from her friend and then easily lifted her trunk up and shoved it into the space above before adding her broom to it.

Once all that was settled, she waved her wand at the door, murmuring the needed spells to close and lock the door behind her as Tai had asked. She flopped down onto the bench, stretching out her legs, but keeping them against the back so there was room for kitty jumping. "That girl exists in a constant state of annoyance. Her aura's all sorts of muddled displeasure." Sylvia proceed to dig into her bag for the cookies her aunt had made her. "But what do you expect from a Carrow?" she asked as if just her surname should carry enough meaning on its own.

She nearly stuffed a whole cookie into her mouth while she offered the bag to Tai. "Amd only mished 'bout 'alf the oomework," she mumbled around a mouthful of snicker doodle, shrugging her free shoulder. She had better things to spend her summer doing then reading school books. Once she'd swallowed, she smiled again. "Summer was alright though. But it is nice to be getting away from family for a few months. How was your break?"
I don't think we should totally eradicate the posting limit, but maybe fudge it ATM since there are currently so few of us. Perhaps for the time being we do one post between ...wait that won't quite work ..:/ Just be reasonable about not getting too ahead of other people, think we should be fine. Yeah?
I don't think another interest check would call for a halt in the posting. Especially if it is still going at the rate it currently is. But either that or a new OOC might draw in new people. So the question is :do we want more people or do we want to keep it with the number we have and NPC the characters we need?
lol it was less grammar and more not making any sense. I was typing with my on screen keyboard and managed to put parts of latter sentences into the first paragraph and I didn't notice until way later.
