I'd like to say that I still like the original idea, and that it doesn't necessarily have to start a world war, it can just be what begins a new era of international tension.

So I'm cool with what we have to start out with, and then that other stuff can just be the escalation.
The Cindorayi, Population: 125 (64 Lunysvet, 42 Zemlyarod, 19 Tyrnovuna), Year 15 IL (Inland), Age of the New Moon

(@Elitestpotato)

It was a fairly quiet day in the forest, as seven Cindorayi were chopping at the trees in order to enlarge the path between Lunysvet and the new western village. Suddenly, however, one who was apart from the rest hit the tree and his axe spun out of his hands, flying into the nearby brush. The others chuckled slightly at his mistake, and his fur raised slightly in embarrassment. That Cindorayi, whose name was Kirill, made to retrieve it when he heard strange animal noises. Signaling the others, they quickly grew quiet and made their way over to him.

They spotted through the bushes several large, beastly creatures, one of whom picked up the axe and made coarse, grunting-type noises to the others. They continued to speak in the manner of communication, so the Cindorayi quickly deduced they must be somewhat intelligent, and very dangerous. Quickly delegating by hand signals, one of the Cindorayi immediately began running back to Lunysvet, and the other six emerged from the bushes in a formation like a V to confront the new species.

One of the Cindorayi's greatest abilities is speed, so it would be nigh impossible to catch the runner, especially without advance warning.

---

Back in Lunysvet, Viktorya, the chief scientist of the Cindorayi, has been leading a few others in experimentation upon the new glina substance, adding different mixtures of dirt and rock to it in order to find out what is the best consistency for making things. This knowledge quickly became useful, however, when Ekatyrina proposed that in light of the discovery of the eastern barbarians, the Cindorayi begin construction of a large stone wall around the town.

Mifan, the staple of the Cindorayi agricultural diet, has quickly been adapted and innovated with, to include different combinations of fish and other plants to add flavor and nutrition. Cooking has in fact become a profession with one member of each of the three villages in charge of preparing food for the rest from what they are provided.
@MihndarI can imagine you instigating a revolt in my western colony which borders your country.
I mean the proud proletariat is being "oppressed" by the rich snobbish nobility who don't even belong to the same race?
It screams for a chance for you to "liberate" them.

Exactly. And that philosophy extends to your entire country.

I'm very inclined to agree with Alfhedil, but I would maintain realism is still something to strive for when it doesn't conflict with player narrative.
Kataylabinsk will start the game with no alliances, as befitting what is largely a rogue nation in the land of old-time monarchies, but will almost immediately begin talking with Avalia and Hambria about forming them. I've already confirmed this with @Skepic but not @thegreenleafe yet.

Between Tiqsimuyu and the Hegemony.

Do note that all I require is a simple star to denote the position of my nation. I'm running a "bastion state" (a fictional title of my own engineering that details a city state of gargantuan size that is globally known for its secondary role as a dedicated military installation) that is home to 20,000,000 souls. Vigor City is its name.

The rest of the land that Vigor City resides within can be left unclaimed.

Inland or on one of the two coasts? I imagine you meant inland, but access to the sea would be important for trade (and is generally more hospitable for sustaining that many people, but that doesn't matter too much).
Sounds good to me. But of course I'm biased.

I'd also like to announce my nation sheet is officially 100% finished.

Ah, okay. I was holding off on posting until you got around to responding.

Yeah, sorry about that, I've been a bit busy.
@Elitestpotato

Planning on responding to you tomorrow morning.
I NEED SOMEONE WHO HAS NO ATTATCHMENTS TO TIN TO CLAIM THAT ISLAND!

I believe I just have. On behalf of the native people.
<Snipped quote by Voltus_Ventus>

Vereb's elves might enjoy more land, perhaps. Or Mihndar. Or, well, anyone but me...I guess. I'm just gonna piggy back on Tin Man's back till he wins, and then bring up some claim to a small slice of the island for my support.

The Glorious People's Republic is insulted that you would think we would stoop to imperialism like those pig dog autocrats and capitalists.

However, the People's Republic does intend to use covert action to supply and arm Zanjir natives in their noble efforts of proletarian resistance against the Tin swine.

And then we may or may not operate said resistance behind the scenes when it comes to power.

So yes, we could be that spark.

Lol wat? Dafaq u talkin bout?

In other news, the release date of the IC has been much like Half Life 3: Highly anticipated and prepared for, but still not here.
