The foreign man in front of Reinhardt did not seem too troubled by the fact that he was blind. Even though he was stumbling through the crows, bumping into people and excusing himself just a few moments ago, he seemed perfectly fine as he was able to stop in front of Reinhardt and able to look up at him, which means that he must´ve known how big Reinhardt was. This already raised some red flags in his mind, but he still decided to stay without and prejudice. He was no racist whatsoever, foreign people were of no concern for him. As of now, Reinhardt was glad that this man was able to speak his language, even if a little bit oddly.
Once the man started talking though, he seemed to speak rather weirdly, the grammatical structures of his sentence made no sense. But still the huge guard was able to understand what this man was trying to say, despite of his uncommon way of talking. The big guy patiently let Hendrick finish his sentences, even watched him picking up a coin and whatnot. For Reinhardt he definetly seemed like he was either not blind or just a strong person. After he finished talking, Reinhardt drew the conclusion that the foreigner was certainly blind, but somehow able to see at least something. Or maybe feel its presence? During the war he has met those kind of people, who are more than they seem. And during that time Reinhardt also learned to differ between strong people and weak ones, which is why he was able to notice that Hendrick, while unsure whether he was good or evil, was no simple commoner passing through the streets.
"A man without a destionation" is what he called himself, however that was not an answer Reinhardt thought was satisfactory to him.
"You call yourself a man without a destination. But there has to be some reason for your presence here. You see, I am what we call a Royal Guard. My job is partially to protect this town from any harm or danger. And to answer your question, all I see is an unknown person speaking in puzzles who has a surprisingly strong aura accompanying him. So I will ask you again, a little bit clearer this time. What are your intentions? I wouldn´t want to dive into any unnecessary complications because of any wrong idea I have in my mind. If you have peaceful desires, I´d love to continue our chatter while I keep an eye out on this district."
The old man kept talking in a rather cheerful and friendly tone, not showing any evil intentions yet. The only thing one would notice is the concern that Hendrick might be of malicious intentions.
After thinking for a second, before Hendrick got to reply, Reinhardt scratched the back of his head with one hand.
"You know, after reconsideration, that did seem a bit rude from my side. I have not even introduced myself. My name is Reinhardt van Adler, Royal Guard, sent to protect this city."
With a wide smile he stood in front of Hendrick, testing his intentions, as he reached out his other hand in front of him, ready to shake Hendrick´s if he wished to. Reinhardt realized it would be stupid to try to shake a blind person´s hand, however he already noticed that the monk was able to see somehow at least some things, which is why he assumed that this wouldn´t be a big problem for him. Of course, if he was wrong it would be quite emberassing.
