These suggestions are only apllicable to the Undead sort of vampire. So if no one is cool with these suggestions we can omit and modify them to fit a different breed of vamp that satisfies everyone.

With a healthy diet of blood, they might not even need make up, since our lively glow stems mostly from the blood in our veins. They feed on blood for their survival but its also a great way to appear more human, thus successfully luring in more prey.

There can be several other instances in which vampires can give themselves away to the keen eye of the living(Those members of The Order could be trained to search for these signs once the information makes itself present in game):

Underfed Vampires would show more symptoms of the undead: pale, glossy eyes, maybe not as strong as their well fed counter parts, lethargy(sluggish even by human standards), stiffness. Etc. etc.

Another way to identify vampiers could be scent. Vampires are Undead, lacking in blood, a poor diet results in body odor reminiscent of decay. Since bloat is what occurs first in decaying humans, they'd stink from the inside out. So putrid gaseous breath could be the first major indication of Decay. But this is usually in the case of the extremely emaciated.

A vampire who has not honed in their skill of hunting and luring in prey (Charisma and/or stealth) could wind up exhibiting these symptoms. They'd behave a certain way as well, since they're more likely to be hungry. The behavior of any starved individual can vary (i.e. be left up to the player ;) )

Also a class distinction could develop since those in organized covens would be backed with unified support and a steady source of blood. Outcasts, loners, or the generally uneducated would have a harder time of it and give themselves up to The Order easier. (Or be culled by those higher ups that want to keep their species under wraps and avoid a lowly starving chump to give them away).

As extensive as this is, I like @Xilaw's idea to keep most of this info obscure to the humans in this setting. With that being said, only vampires would have access to certain clusters of info and only long standing established Covens would have the most in bulk. If there are any humans who would know this info regarding vampires, it'd have to be those who have been in close quarters with them (Donors?).

If anyone has other suggestions, be my guest.
Is it cool if I take a look too?

Of course! This is a group project, I only started the thread looking for people with similar interest.
I can send you the PM, or I could just post it here and hope for the best. I have to warn you guys though, the start looks like a legit lore intro and casually transforms into a handbook for killing vampires. It's a little weird but it's still informative.

Pm it to me as well. I wouldn't mind offering up suggestions.
Great idea @ayzrules for creating a city key, so to speak. That erases the issue of sorta mapping out the city scape and where everyone's character could turn up.

Also, since we're on the topic of the city and social structure, there should naturally be dividers based on class since there are always slums and middle class housing facilities/neighborhoods along with the general High Class housing. Also different lycan and vampire outposts/packs/covens. This can be done in game as well with a bit of external plotting so I guess nothing needs to be set in stone. Still worth thinking about.

@Xilaw I was curious if, like Order 1886, Lycans sort of exist on societies fringes. Are they still considered the most targeted enemy, quarantined in asylums? Or can they sort of pass as humans? Are they too feral? Or would you prefer we vote on the lore behind the creatures ourselves to make it more palatable for everyone involved? Should the lore surrounding both creature be adopted from a different universe all together like the one seen in Undrworld since that was pretty cool?

Everyone feel free to comment and make suggestions.
I originally thought it could be the result of not one party screwing over the others, but a misunderstanding between the three that led to continued fighting. But regardless if its origin, the war would carry on. So it could very well be a mystery.

I'm not picky! :)
Interested. I was hoping someone would start a rp inspired by that game.

I have a few suggestions regarding the plot, please feel free to disregard or amend them as you see fit

. The human government tries to keep the two creatures out of the view of the human citizens . But how about it be a matter of keeping the two feuding creatures(Vamps vs. Laycans) from bringing their age old war to the public eye? It would add conflict all around and offer many ways for players to sabotage peace efforts, become wrapped up in corruption and lead to all around mayhem. :)

. Also, the rp could very well start off with some sort of betrayal on somebody's end that sparked the war in the first place.

You could give the Seer ambigous traits so that one cannot actually interpret their gender. I mean it would make sense for a Medium to have a sort of androgynous appearance, would it not? A person of great wisdom would not be bogged down with the gender norms societies impose on humans and it would add to the mystique of the character. Matters of identity wouldn't plague someone who uses their insight to the see what the future has in store. They could even go as far as to use different pronouns or speak in the third person to obscure their identity even more. But these are merely suggestions. :)

Sweet ass concept. I'm down.
