-Seeking either (the lead role (you) can easily be changed)
-Please PM me with any questions or interest

Your character is a typical villager in a small town where nothing exciting happens, though she has always been a little bit strange, a little bit different. One night she sees a light in the sky that falls to the ground just outside her town. Curious, she goes to investigate and finds a small meteor smoldering in a crater, cracked open. Upon closer investigation she finds a small crystal inside. Almost instantly she feels a terrible pain through her mind and blacks out. When she wakes up the next morning the crystal is hanging from her neck via a thin silver chain.

Confused and disorientated she makes her way back to the village, trying to remember the hazy moments from last night. Upon returning home she is questioned by her mother about the necklace, who seems mad and exclaims it could be used to buy them a better life. She accuses her of hiding it but when she makes a move to hurt her the crystal suddenly flares up with light and the next thing the girl knows her mother is half way across the room and on the floor. She is instantly accused of witchcraft and flees the town in fear.

Alone, she eventually comes to rest and starts crying when she hears an unfamiliar voice telling her to get up. When she looks up she sees a strange ethereal floating being before her, glowing slightly.

If you want to know the rest of the story PM me and we can get started ;)
Before anyone says anything:
-This roleplay will take place over email. I don't overly trust the guild after it died last time.
-PM me with any questions or interest. I won't be checking back to this thread.
-Seeking male- roughly still school aged

So I had this idea I really wanted to try out, but some of the finer points haven't been thought out just yet. If you come up with any questions I'm unsure of I'm happy to try and come up with something, or we can work it out together but just know that some of the finer details and 'rules' shall we say, of the world, are still in progress. That being said here's the main plot points:

-It's a slight future setting so we can have a bit of fun with the technology if we like (hover boards, flying cars and junk) (that being said this can also work in a medieval setting if you're more comfortable in that setting)

-A small percent of the population, about 10%, has been gifted with the ability to conjure magical beings called Shades, which usually take the form of animals. some use it for their profession, such as to protect someone of power, or more shadier things like intimidation to get the things they want. The creatures are usually transparent with a colour to them, but very much a solid, physical object (looks kind of like this if I had to find something (can be colours other than blue)) But this is only a small portion, the majority use them for the world's newest and most popular sport; Shadow Duels.

-Your character has the ability to create these shades, but is not very skilled at it. He aims to compete in shadow duel tournaments but has yet to win a match.

-He has been having strange dreams recently, where he is standing in front of a door, and a loud, intimidating voice has been asking him if he has the courage to unlock, what it simply refers to as, 'potential'.

-Once he does he is greeted, back in the real world, by a strange, ethereal being who refers to herself as 'Astral', and claims she has no memories other than that. She is only visible to your character, but seems strangely familiar with Shadow Duels, and has great skill in them and is able to coach your character to victory if he should listen. However he is adamant that he wants to become good on his own and often ignores her advise.

-And, of course, there is a darker plot going on beneath the surface, people started taking these duels to an extreme, playing for dangerous keeps in duels where ones very ability to create these Shades is on the line. However your character finds there is an added risk to him in particular in these kind of fights as well.
The early evening was bringing a dark purple tinge to the world as the sleek, expensive looking car pulled up in front of the small house. A big sign was posted out the front, with ‘for sale’ slapped on it in big red letters. Steeping out of the car, a man with short cropped brown hair and hazel eyes moved to the back seat and opened the door for an older man. To say he was old would be an exaggeration. He was in his mid forties but had aged very well, his blonde hair still full and luscious and his light blue eyes bright and intelligent.

He smiled gently at the other man and made his way towards the house, knocking softly on the door and smiling warmly at the small girl who eventually appeared in front of him. “Ready to go, my dear?” He reached out and took the bag she was holding and taking it over to the car for her. Once again the brown haired man stood by the door, holding it open for her. Once she was inside he moved to open the door for Mr. Donovan, but he simply waved him off, as he was already half way in the car.

Sitting inside the car drove off, quickly leaving the small suburb behind and heading out to the richer part of town. James smiled fondly at the old neighbourhood. He had enjoyed living here those few short years, watching the boys grow up in a more normal environment. But now they were out of school and deeply in the public eye, a more private venue was required. He wish he knew what to say, but honestly had no idea how to console the girl beside him. What do you say to someone who has just lost their family? Who’s whole world is being turned upside down?

There was nothing you could say. If she wanted to talk, she would. And he would listen, and offer what advice he could if she asked for it. The ride was short and the car was soon pulling up to the gates to the mansion. The building itself was extensive, more than enough room for her to stay. In no time at all they had stopped in front of the house and James turned once more to Rose. “I do hope you’ll make yourself at home here, and feel like you can treat us as you would your own family.” He spoke softly as the brown haired man from before opened the door for her once more.

Seeking female for MxF pairing
Possible mature content

So for this one I'm looking for a female, aged around 18-21, for this story a more naive, meek and dependant role is preferred, it will just work with the story better. Think of this as a kind of chose your own romance story. Please PM me with interest or questions. Also note I am a girl, but will be playing boys. So they may be a bit girly.

Misfortune has befallen your life as your parents die in a tragic car accident, what's worse is the close to a million dollar debt they've left up with. With no hope of paying it off, no homeland no one to turn to your life if looking bleak. That is, until you receive a visit from one of your old next door neighbours. You used to be best friends with his son before he suddenly began ignoring you in the beginning of junior high. And he offers you a way out. He offers to let you come and live with him and his family as one of them and pay off your debt completely as a favour to both you and your parents for the years of friendship. With little other option you accept.

And now a little background on your new family. Your 'Father' is the owner of a big record label, so really the million dollars isn't that much for him. He has 2 sons. Your now 'brothers'. One is four years older than you, and works for his father as part of a band. He's always very nice to you, caring, protective, everything a 'big brother' should be, though sometimes maybe a little too close. The other is only a year older than you, but you used to be in the same year. He also works for his father but prefers to write songs or perform solo. He, however, avoids you like the plague. When you talk his answers are curt and his gaze cold. However you do sometimes catch him looking at you when he thinks you're not looking.
