As the woman calmly spoke, he slowly lowered his sword, listening to her words. He then spoke once again, sheathing Galaxia.
Meta Knight: Very well, I am Sir Meta Knight, protector of Dreamland. I was-
Before he could finish talking however, a blond-haired man had stepped between them, threatening him and drawing his sword. Meta Knight then wrapped his cape around himself, teleporting back a few feet before raising his sword once again, preparing to defend himself.
Meta Knight: Watch your words boy, you may not be prepared for what happens next.
The terminal then started beeping loudly, indicating that it had received a message. He leaned forward and opened the coms channel as the message played. He sighed a breath of relief, thankful that someone had received it and was coming to help him, although the voice did seem quite unsettling to him.
He got up and walked to one of the viewports of the ship. Peering out, he saw a sleek black starfighter moving towards the Tempest. Meta then went back to a console and sent a message to the ship.
Meta: This is the Tempest, your message has been received. Will begin preparations for docking now.
Using what was left of the ship's engine power, he stabilized the Tempest to prevent it from drifting and waited for the other ship to move in and dock. Although this ship had come to his rescue, its design and the voice that accompanied it did make him think that this could be a trap. He checked his sidearm, making sure that it was ready for combat before waiting again for the Jezebel's next move.
Meta Knight stands on the bridge of the Halberd, overlooking the gorgeous scenery of Dreamland as the gigantic warship glides over the plains. He returned to Dreamland after he had defeated Galacta Knight by summoning him through Galactic Nova, and all he desired right now was to rest. He was about to walk back inside the Halberd when he felt a disturbance manifest itself. He turned around to see a gaping portal in the distance, right in front of the Halberd's current course. The crew of the Halberd immediately changed the ship's course, as it started turning to its right in order to avoid making contact with it. Although the Halberd successfully maneuvered away, Meta Knight was standing closest to the portal and was sucked in, transported to another reality. The portal then disappeared right after it pulled in Meta Knight, seemingly gone without a trace.
A portal appeared on the ceiling of the R&D Lab as it dropped a round blue object before disappearing again. Meta Knight slowly propped himself up, unaware of what just happened and that there was an emblem stuck to his mask. As he got up and surveyed the surroundings, he realized that he was surrounded by strange new people. The 1-foot tall Star Warrior then drew his sword and pointed it at the woman in the lab coat. He then growled in a deep voice which you wouldn't think have come from someone like him.
"Look at flesh, see only potential. Strands, sequences, twisting, separating, joining. See how it could be better. Eat flesh, splinter bone. Inside me, can touch it. Weave it. Spin it. Make it great."
Skill set/Abilities: Abathur is a unique zerg creature, due to the fact that he is created from numerous zerg creatures. His primary purpose is to serve the swarm as its evolution master, acting as a sort of craftsman and library of DNA. This allows him to modify the characteristics of zerg creatures and improve on them. He does this by ingesting parts of creatures and then gaining access to their genetic code.
He has minimal combat capabilities, instead being a brilliant strategic mind and an incredibly intelligent biologist. He uses zerg creatures to fight for him instead, directing and commanding them through psionic signals.
Abathur also possesses the ability to burrow into the ground and travel to other locations quickly, an adaptation he acquired from his feral wandering days on Char.
Background: Abathur was created by the Overmind using the DNA of various different zerg species and was an instrument of the Overmind's plan to attain Zerg perfection. Abathur was also responsible for creating the Queen of Blades herself, Kerrigan. After the death of the Overmind, he wandered the tunmels of Char, feral and purposeless, eating anything that attacked him.
As Abathur wandered Char without a master, he modified any zerg he came across, and grew fixated on diversifying the Swarm. The Queen of Blades retrieved him and took him under her command. With the de-infestation of the Queen at Char during the Second Great War, the Swarm fragmented, as the broodmothers vied for control. He was too strong for Broodmother Zagara to take control of him. At the time of fragmentation, he was aboard a leviathan.
Kerrigan had then found him again on said leviathan and he served her once again as her swarm's evolution master, evolving the Zerg to be faster, stronger and deadlier. He followed her up until the End War, where he then served Zagara after Kerrigan was gone.
Other Information: Abathur's true goal is for the Zerg to achieve biological perfection, although he knows it isn't possible, he still tries, claiming that it makes sense on a tactical level for him to chase it.
He also believes it is "purpose" which makes the zerg what they are. He states that without an overriding will, they are no more than beasts, much like he was after the death of the Overmind. To this end, he is grateful that the Swarm has a purpose.
Will be added during RP as Abathur collects more and more biomass, strength of creatures depend on the biomass collected.
- Galaxia: Meta Knight's signature weapon. Galaxia is a golden sword with a ruby embedded in its hilt and has six spikes protruding from its blade. Having been created by the fire god Photron, the sword is near unbreakable and has clashed with many different foes over the years. When charged up, it can fire a devastating beam of energy, capable of punching through steel.
- Dimensional Cape: The Dimensional Cape allows Meta Knight to manipulate space and is a powerful weapon in its own right. He commonly wraps it around himself in order to teleport short distances, and is also capable of turning into bat-like wings, which grant him the ability to fly. The cape can also be summoned at any time should he ever need it.
- Master Swordsman: With over 200 years of experience in combat, Meta Knight is an expert in the art of the blade. He has consistently proven himself to be a capable fighter, defeating warriors the likes of Queen Sectonia and Galacta Knight.
- Galaxia Darkness: Meta Knight's ultimate ability is Galaxia Darkness, wherein he uses his cape to engulf the surrounding area in darkness and petrify his enemies. He then performs a powerful slash with his sword, dealing huge amounts of damage.
Weaknesses: One of Meta Knight's weaknesses is his small stature, which makes him seem like a weird type of stuffed toy. Although this makes him quick and agile, he is also incredibly light and can be knocked away quite easily. Although he is incredibly durable, he can be knocked out by hard enough physical impacts. He is also arrogant at times, underestimating his opponent, which sometimes leads to his own downfall.
Background: Not much is known about Meta Knight. Legends say that he participated in a galactic war against the malevolent being known as Nightmare thousands of years ago as part of a group known as the Star Warriors. Although Nightmare was defeated, it came at a terrible price as all of the Star Warriors were killed in the resulting battle. All of them except for Meta Knight. He now resides im Dreamland, protecting it from universal threats that seek to destroy it.
Due to Meta Knight's way of doing things and his often-hidden intentions, the relationship between Kirby and Meta Knight is unpredictable in nature, and range from being bitter rivals to being steadfast allies to one another and can change at a moment's notice.
As a knight, he respects the code of chivalry and thus offers Kirby a sword whenever he challenges him to a duel. His goal is to be the greatest warrior in the galaxy, suggesting that he not only prides himself in strength and skill but that he also wishes to grow stronger.
Other Information: Interestingly, he never seems to want his face revealed, immediately retreating via his Dimensional Cape when his mask is broken and falls off. The reason for this is never explained.
