@Letter Bee just tell me if there's anything that needs changing.
Name: Cody Ang
Cody stands at about 5'10 without armor and 6', and has a lean, athletic build. Under the armor he has [REDACTED].
Age: 31
Personality: Cody is calm and collected, he prefers analyzing and planning out a battle beforehand rather than rushing in. He believes that battles should always be fought with a plan in mind, and abhors those who rush into battle blindly. Although he usually works alone, he is no stranger to working with a team, and even has experience as a leader and commander. Cody is wary of nearly everyone he meets, as he thinks that anyone can be a potential enemy to him. He thinks this way because of all the prejudice he faces due to his nature. Being a Chinese that was formerly a part of Red-star has earned him contempt from many in Asia and many other parts of the world. This is the reason why he is always seen wearing armor, to always be prepared and protected, and to hide his identity from others as he is fearful of how they will react. Though he will appear cordial in public, he will hardly open up to anyone. For people close to him however, he is a loyal, caring, and sometimes awkward friend, who values their safety above all else.
Backstory: Born in the city of Hong Kong, Cody Ang had been fascinated by NC's ever since he first laid eyes on them. He grew up studying and learning about them, and when he was old enough, joined the Red Star NC academy in Beijing. Finding himself with a fair sync ratio of 75%, he passed pilot training with flying colors and was assigned the pilot of an unknown NC that Red Star had salvaged with its body intact. Proving himself to be a valuable pilot, Cody was soon promoted to lieutenant and fought across many fronts for Red Star. But during a mission defending a border city from a Volkov Industries attack, the population of the city, along with several Red Star NCs and one of his close friends were killed by a massive airstrike that was authorized by his superior officer despite his objections. He ultimately deserted the army and forged a reputation as a mercenary.
Cody was present during Red-star's assault on Darwin as part of Haven's volunteer corps. He managed to persuade an experimental Red-star NC by the name of TABRIS to defect to Haven's side, weakening the Red-star forces. Ultimately, Haven managed to secure a victory by fending off the invaders, with Cody leaving soon after to find more work elsewhere. Recently, Haven has contacted the mercenary with another job offer, provide support to Cape Town, where research on creating new NC cores is underway. Having accepted the offer, he now heads
Tactical Preferences and Skills: Cody used to be a long-range specialist. Recently however, he's favoured using a mix of long-range and close-range attacks instead. His main strategy involves bombarding the enemy with ranged attacks, pressuring them and whittling away at their defenses, and charging in to unleash melee attacks when he finds an opening. Outside of combat, Cody prefers using firearms such as assault rifles and shotguns at mid to close range.
Notes: Cody really likes food, and eats rice with nearly every meal.

Codename: Halberd MKII
Halberd MKII before combat blades were attached.
Body-type: Bipedal
Type of NC: All-around
Equipment and armaments:
ME-283 Medium plasma cannons: The Halberd posseses 4 ME-283 medium plasma cannons, 2 mounted on each arm. These cannons are the main weapons of the Halberd and are effective in close-range and mid-range combat. Compared to the Halberd's former cannons, these have a higher fire rate but have decreased power and range as a result. Caution is advised when using them however, as they are relatively quick to overheat.
Goliath-type missile launchers: Two Goliath-type missile launchers surround the cockpit of the mech. They possess 4 tubes each, and can fire a salvo of guided ripper missiles, which can be used against ground targets, but are more effective against aerial foes. The upgraded Goliath-type can load and fire missiles much fire as compared to its predecessor, the Ripper missile launcher. Alternatively, the ripper missiles can be replaced with Lockdown-type missiles, which do little damage but can temporarily disable enemy systems, such as their communications, engines, targeting, weapons, etc.
TE-021 Mass driver cannons: The Halberd carries two dual TE-022 Mass driver cannons, which are mounted on its back. Compared to the Halberd MKI's mass driver cannons, they pack much less power and range in exchange for a faster fire rate. Despite its improvement, it is still much weaker than the old Halberd's cannons. It is still deadly if used correctly however. It is usually loaded with armor-piercing rounds, but can be loaded with different types of rounds as well, such as incendiary rounds.
Arm-mounted combat blades: One pair of combat blades is mounted on each arm of Halberd MKII. These are used in melee combat and are effective against lightly and moderately armored foes, but struggle against heavily-armored ones.
Shield generators: The Halberd is able to project a durable energy shield in a given direction. The shield covers about 40% of the area of the NC.
Rocket boosters: Should the Halberd ever need to escape, it is equipped with 4 rocket boosters located on the back of the vehicle to boost towards a targeted direction. The boosters are quite powerful and can move the Halberd fast enough to outrun interceptor type NCs. Compared to the MKI's rocket boosters, they use up less fuel, and usually operate in bursts rather than continuous usage.
Notes: Halberd MKII is actually just a heavily modified version of the Halberd used in the defense of Darwin, the Halberd MKI. It was changed from being a long-range artillery NC to an all-around type of NC, trading off its immense power and range for mobility, durability, and closer-ranged attacks. Halberd MKII stands at 7 meters tall, possesses slightly above moderate armor, and a slightly above average walking speed.
