Cade pulled up the hood of his jacket as he walked down the ramp of the dropship. He didn't mind the strong winds and cold against his body though, courtesy of his carapace and the several layers of clothes that he was wearing. In fact, he found the cold air refreshing. He took in his surroundings for a moment before bringing his focus back to the matter at hand.
He slipped back into reality as the Tenshi signals droned on inside his head. Back at home, they were usually just really quiet background noise. But ever since he boarded the transport with eight of the other Zasshu, it's been taking some effort getting used to.
While the other Zasshu were in the front and closer together, Cade stuck to the outskirts of the group, listening to the Major's speech while occasionally glancing at the rest of the group. His response to her was a simple nod. Even if he said something, he doubted she could hear it through the noise. He didn't really have much belongings that he wanted to bring anyway, everything he needed was going to be provided for at the base and all his personal belongings fit nicely in his brown satchel.
After Akane finished talking, he moved towards the entrance of the base along with the rest of the group, his head slumped downwards to avoid eye contact. Suddenly, he felt something step on his left foot. Whatever it was stepped on his carapace, so he didn't feel much pain, but he flinched and spun around anyway. It was a girl, one of the other Zasshu in fact. He was shocked at first to see more than one pair of eyes staring back at him from under the hood, but somehow managed to blurt out a response in time. "Oh! N-no It's not your fault! I wasn't uhm, looking where I was going. It's uhm, my fault, really sorry about that."
He rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment, not even a few minutes had passed and he's already screwed up. What a great first impression...
Name: Cade Lin Age: 15 Appearance: (Apologies for no image, can’t find the right one)
Standing at 5'6, he's about slightly below average in terms of height. The most striking thing about him however is the presence of a hard, gray, armor-like, carapace covering several areas of his body, namely on his forearms, hands, legs, feet, neck, and parts of his torso. He has yellowish skin on the parts uncovered by the carapace, black hair, and a lean build. Cade usually opts for simple clothing: a simple gray or green shirt along with a pair of jeans.
Archon DNA Donor: Genbu
Abilities: Cade's durable carapace is both a defensive and an offensive tool. He can manipulate it to a limited degree, such as changing its shape to cover his body like a suit of armor. He can also change its shape to form bladed appendages to attack with, or to form tiny spikes of bone to use as projectiles. Specific parts of his body can also be temporarily reinforced to grant a boost in durability, such as his arms and legs.
However, manipulating his carapace is both physically and mentally taxing on Cade. The more abilities he uses, the more mental focus and energy he requires. He'll collapse on the spot from exhaustion if he's reached his limit, and needs an extended period of time to rest to fully recover.
Personality: Awkward and reserved, Cade is the type of person who sits in a corner and focuses on his phone while everyone else socializes at a party. He's a quiet person, preferring to mind his own business and not disturb anyone else. That's not to say he's completely ignorant about social customs and such, but he's not going to be the one to initiate the conversation unless it's necessary.
Despite his seemingly docile attitude, he can be incredibly focused when working on the task at hand. He's eager to prove that he's not just dead weight and does actually want the respect of the people around him, but he's still too shy to admit it.
His awkwardness also disappears when he's interacting with his loved ones and those he trusts, almost as if it was never there in the first place.
Backstory: “Project Ravager” was born to Taiwanese immigrants in a remote TDC stronghold located in Australia. His parents gave him an actual human name: Cade, and tried to raise him to the best of their abilities given the circumstances. Growing up, he was subjected to numerous tests and physical training by the faceless mob of disembodied voices standing behind the tinted glass. Though he didn’t quite trust them, he still followed obediently when he was told by his parents that this was “for his own good”.
As the years went by, he started gaining greater control over his powers and even experimented with them during his free time, all the while wondering why he looked so different from the people around him. The infrasounds of the Tenshi were also a mystery to him, and further made clear that he was different from everyone else. He felt lonely at times, lacking any friends his age, but found solace in the media of the past. Watching, playing, and reading about the stories of the colorful and interesting characters found within made him feel better about being different.
When he was 12 years old, Cade had just been in his room one day when he overheard a pair of guards that were on patrol talking nearby. They were talking about him, specifically about how the hell a freak kid was supposed to help them fight the archons, and how the only thing the scientists succeeded in creating was a crime against nature. He told his parents about what he had heard, but despite their attempts to comfort him, some small part of him internalized what the guards said, believing that he was useless and that everyone secretly hated him. Eventually he managed to get over it, yet remnants of his self-doubt linger, still influencing him from within.
A few years later, he was scheduled to be sent to Japan to meet up with the other Zasshu. He was hesitant to leave home at first, but the thought of meeting others like him convinced him to go. Bidding farewell to his parents and promising to keep in touch, he set off towards Fassu, Japan, anxious about meeting the others.
Other: Cade enjoys both eating and cooking as his hobbies. His favorite food is Xiao Long Bao, or soup dumplings.
Here's my boi, sorry about the quality as school's been roughing me up lately.
If there's anything that needs changing let me know.

"No." Mako bluntly replied. He made sure that they stayed hidden, it was the least he could do for the village. He went silent after, deciding that he had talked enough for today.
He could tell that she cared deeply about other Unknowns, as if it wasn't obvious already before. Mako didn't really see any downsides to telling Vex what he knew, it's not like that information could incriminate him. "A small group of elves live among the people in the village. They've managed to evade the Hunters until now."
