Current Anybody wanna read a sloppily planned YA fantasy about a demigod that discovers the concept of love and family in a world that literally bends over to hate him? No? Yeah, me neither ;_;

Would probably get back into RPing if I wasn't writing my own stuff. And working.

Charlie had a proud, defiant grin stretch across his face. "I'm down." He stated simply, stepping forward to retrieve one of the many devices laid out before him. He examined the pokedex as he picked it up. "Ohhh, these're those new new ones, from Kalos! I didn't even know they were out yet." The bushy haired trainer spouted, looking for anything resembling a on switch. The design of the new dex was very minimal, to say the least. A new piece of technology Charlie would have to get used to. With a smirk, he gave Gary a short glance. "I rode in all the way from Johto to take on this challenge. You won't see me turn it down just cuz we'll be pushed to our limits." He placed the pokedex in his pocket as he fell back in line with his fellow trainers. "...It wouldn't really be called a challenge if it weren't challenging...would it?" he added.
"Huh, a Magnemite, eh? Cool beans!" He replied to Adrian. "I'm from Johto, or uh, Goldenrod City, if I were to be specific. Yeah, she's even rare where I got her from, so I was kinda surprised when I saw Professor Elm had her available." He elaborated. He glanced towards the Magnemite, and gave it a knowing nod. "Pleasure to make your acquaintance, Magnus." He said with a smile. "Hey, ya wanna say hi to the Magnemite?" He said to Quinn, in attempts to feign a reaction out of her. "Qui..." was all he got out of her, before she shuffled deeper into his arms.

Then, A voice rung out from behind the bushy haired trainer, a seasoned voice that Charlie knew all too well. As he turned to match a face to the voice, the sudden suspicions floating about his psyche had rung true. "It's you...Gary Motherfucking Oak! Kanto Champion!" Charlie spoke the name in a hushed, excited tone. Naturally, as they were occupying his grandfather's lab, it would make sense that the man could be here. And still, he was quite surprised to be in the presence of a celebrity.
Charlie gave pause at Aeris' quick comment about the less-than-savory accommodations of Driftveil City. "Uhhh..." Hesitant to answer, he looked on as Aeris sprinted off, barreling into the Pokemon lab with reckless abandon. He gave a slow, confused look towards Fary. "Did she say she got lost in the sewers once...?" He mumbled uneasily to the trainer. From his experiences, sewers weren't really a place kids could just accidentally wander into, so the visualization of such a situation threw him through a bit of a loop.

"Guess things are different in the big city..." "Uh, hey, wait up-" He broke into a nervous trot, in attempts to catch up to the redhead.

"Alright, i'm here-whoa-" He slowed in his approach, eyes trawling over every cracked wall and blown out window as he carefully made his way through the building. "The hell happened to this place...?" It was clear the lab was in utter disarray. If it weren't for the other kids lurking about, he would've concluded the place run-down and abandoned. There looked to be a older male, and a much younger girl (the one currently being space invaded by Aeris). Charlie opted to approach the guy.

"This is the Pokemon lab...right?" He asked, still looking about the place. "You here for the region challenge?" As he queried, Quinn perked up, meekly picking up her head to sniff at the stale air.
"Aeris, huh?" Charlie silently regarded the redhead's name as she was introduced a second time. Considering Fary's calm, casual demeanor, Charlie could already envision the dynamic shared between the two girls. One playing straight man to the other's crazy antics. He was hip to the idea. "Oh, i'm Charlie, by the way." He realized he had went this long with introducing himself. "Charlie Delacroix." Quinn fidgeted a bit as she was mentioned, but not much else. "Wait, really? You're from Unova?" That was a interesting tidbit of info, he thought. "I'm from Johto myself."

He began towards the lab (Or, what he assumed to be the lab, the big ol' building Daniel pointed towards), and motioned for the others to follow. "So, how is it in Unova? I thought Goldenrod was a big city, but when you see something like Castelia on TV...whoo! It just doesn't compare! I mean, all those big buildings...and the lights...ohh, it must be beautiful at night." He thought of the region in a dreamy tone.
Charlie paused, as a shrill shriek grew from behind him. As soon as he could turn around, a spastic redhead was already loudly invading his space, damn near knocking him off his feet in the process. Despite such a fright, Charlie managed to keep on a smile as the girl gushed all over the sight of Quinn. Though, she spit out questions so fast, he could barely answer any of them. Quinn didn't appreciate all the loud attention, and only shrunk into a tighter ball. Even then, he felt he should introduce her instead of looking on like a Stantler in headlights.

"Uhh, heh, this is Quinn. We're from the Johto region...I just got her a few hours ago, so I haven't got around to feeding her yet...i'm sure i'll find out her favorite foods in due time, though!" He cobbled together something resembling a awkward reply, and topped it off with a sheepish chuckle. As his eyes wandered about the girl's person, he couldn't help but notice the little yellow pom-pom skittering about on the girl's head.

"Is that your Pokemon?" He thumbed towards the buggy puffball. It definitely looked familiar, but he couldn't put a name to it. It was something he never saw in person until today. It was pretty cute too. Before she could answer though, a boy came through the cut, crashing into the girl. The redhead was mostly (if not entirely) unfazed by the unsuccessful tackle, but Charlie was almost ready to jump out of his skin a second time. The kid seemed to take more damage than the girl did, and beside him sat...a sentient candle. "Weird." He thought before addressing the minor.

"You okay, bro?" Charlie asked simply, moving beside the redhead to help the guy back to his feet. "...I'm gonna also assume we're all going to the same place, yeah? To Professor Oak's lab? Y'all probably have a better idea on where it is than I do..." He added.
A big ol' puff of hair resembling a trainer meander onto the docks of Pallet Town, readjusting to the solid wooden planks. "Just gotta get my land legs back, heh." He mumbled with a uncertain chuckle, wobbling a bit. "Okay, i'm good...i'm good." He reassured himself, standing straight to face the professor that brought him to this magical, new region. "Thanks for the ride, Mr. Elm..." He noticed the guy practically already embarking back across the water. "...You're not getting off?" Charlie asked.

"Sorry Chuck, something's come up! Gotta return to New Bark, ASAP!" Professor Elm hastily called back. "Take care, and make sure you meet with Professor Oak before you leave Pallet Town! He'll tell you how things work around here!" He added with a wave. Charlie excitedly waved back. "Okay! Thanks again for the ride! Have a safe trip back!" He exclaimed as he waved. Once the professor was out of sight, he swiveled 'round to face the town.

"Alright...now where would Professor Oak's lab be, exactly?" The good professor didn't exactly provide the boy with directions. "Well, these sorta adventures are all about the journey embarked, rather than the destination..." He mumbled some reassuring words as he wandered off the dock and proceeded further into town.

It was clear he wasn't alone in the area, as trainers of all shapes, sizes and ages populated the scene. And most were paired with their own Pokemon companion. "Oh! That reminds me-" He knelt down, reaching for the singular pokeball hanging from his belt. How could he almost forget about the shy little Cyndaquil Professor Elm entrusted him with? He released her out into the world, realizing he hadn't let her since he first named her back at the lab.

"Hey Quinn~" He called the adorable fire mouse in a sing-song sort of way. "Welcome to the new world! Who knows what we might run into out here!" His bubbly disposition contrasted the Cyndaquil's clear uneasiness. She didn't look all that happy to be here.

"Qui..." She mumbled in reply, nuzzling herself into Charlie's lap. He would've squealed right then and there if he hadn't had caught himself. "C'mere cutie pie~" He lifted her into his arms, where she immediately curled into a ball in his creases. He stroked at her fur, taking mental note of the warmth emitting from the ignition pads on her backside. "Alright Quinn, let's find the professor's lab. This place looks small enough, i'm sure we'll run into it eventually." He stated, rising to his feet.

That made me laugh harder than it should've. But wow, never heard of this and it looks like it would be pretty cool to use. Google documents let you do the same thing as well.

When Neo finds the time to finish and put up his sheet. So please look forward to it!
Name: Charles "Charlie" Delacroix
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Hometown: Goldenrod City, Johto Region

Appearance: Charlie stands at 5'11, a fair skinned type of mixed pedigree (Father being French-Canadian, Mother being African-American), with dark brown eyes and abundantly voluminous, puffy brown hair, usually wrapped into a crude ponytail with one of his mom's frilly scrunchies. With a thin build on an averagely athletic frame, Charlie wears a short sleeved blue V-neck, with faded "urban camouflage" cargo shorts, worn blue hi-top sneakers, a pair of long, shin-length blue and white striped socks, and a black C-Gear.

Personality: Charlie likes to consider himself to be a bona fide hardass (as his father likes to say), cold and calculated in his ways. In reality he's a bit of a happy-go-lucky goofball that tends to take value in his friends, as well as headstrong and proud whenever it's necessary. He's also more eager to help then he realizes, and smiles a lot more than he thinks. However, unless initially greeting someone, he usually won't be one to start up a conversation (usually this is even harder for him if the person in question's in his age group). It's a trait he's working on changing.

Profession: Trainer

Talents: Between a mix of the things his father taught him and the things he's figured out on his own, Charlie has found himself to be a fairly experienced survivalist, knowing many tricks to living off of the land. He's yet to have a problem with making his own fires, finding civilization, locating fresh water, making makeshift shelters, and hunting for food. He's also pretty good at climbing trees.

Inventory:
-5 Pokeballs (3 used; 3 bought)
-3 potions (originally had 5; 2 already used)
-Town Map
-$700 in cash, which he usually keeps in an old leather wallet
-Another outfit for colder climates (a grey knit sweater picked out and bought by his mother and a baggy, holey pair of blue jeans)
-An extra pair of underwear
-A multi-purpose knife/tool
-A sleeping bag
-Assorted toiletries (also packed by his mother, yet he rarely uses)
-Carried in a medium sized duffel bag that doubles as his pillow.

Starter Pokemon:
-A timid, female Cyndaquil, named Quinn.

Biography: A native to Goldenrod City, Charlie spent his whole life growing up there. He spent the entirety of his younger years waiting to be the appropriate age to be a trainer, and as he reached the optimum age of ten, he excitedly packed his things and rushed out the door...only to be promptly stopped by his overprotective mother, Dalia, and his stern, stoic, father, Samuel. Not quite ready to let their son go, they decided that he'd embark on his journey at an older age.

After school, he'd watch in envy as budding trainers entered hopefully into Whitney's gym, sometimes sneaking inside to catch a battle. If he didn't do that, he'd go outside the city, visiting the Day Care, admiring the pokemon left by their trainers (slightly happier whenever someone dropped off a Ponyta or a Mareep). While his mother worked as a manager at the Goldenrod Department Store, his father was one of the City's firefighters. Once he eventually (albeit reluctantly) completed school, his parents finally deemed him worthy (and old enough) to begin his journey as a pokemon trainer.

Upon giving him his duffel bag, multi-tool, C-Gear (he in return subsequently freaking out over how expensive it must've been to have it imported from the Unova region), and money as graduation gifts, they told him to work his way towards New Bark Town first, to talk to Professor Elm about his first pokemon. With one last hug from the both of them (and a plea to call often from his mother), Charlie excitedly began his trek, eager to start the long road ahead as a pokemon trainer. The trip was starting to form into a bit of downer, due to his lack of a companion (and all those poor youngsters he had to turn down when they found out he possessed no pokemon).

But despite the shortcomings, Charlie safely reached New Bark Town, where he obtained his first Pokemon, Pokedex, and Pokeballs from Professor Elm, re-re-deciding that his adventure starts here. However, Elm stopped him at the door (Charlie snidely remarking on how this happens way too much to him). He told him of one of his colleagues from the Kanto region, and how he was looking for trainers from regions other than his own for survey and how they'd match up against the Kanto League Challenge. Charlie frowned initially, seeing as he was looking more towards a gym battle with Whitney in his hometown, but quickly saw the positives in this rare offer, with new Pokemon and a whole different experience. He agreed finally, and with Elm's Lapras, the two began towards the region.

Bypassing Route 26 (Elm telling the budding trainer how he'd be able to come back here when he was much more experienced), the two successfully arrived in Pallet Town, where Charlie was shown and introduced to Oak. After the two Professors caught up, Oak told the trainer of the Kanto League Challenge, and of how they'd be much different than the gym leaders he's come to know in Johto. After which, Elm gave him a few last words of encouragement before departing.

Notes/Other: His father despises Fire-types and Electric-types due to his occupation (as he prefers and works with Water-types), and just doesn't know what his son sees in them. And despite their outputs on pokemon, neither parents ever owned one.
