“It’s a thing some girls do, usually the really vain ones,” Kaya began casually. “Maybe not when they’re on a date, it’s more of a ‘in a group’ thing they’ll order a meal but will have like a handful of bites of it the entire time because they have this ridiculous notion that if people see them eating they’ll think they’re pigs or something.” She rolled her eyes in disgust before pausing with an odd look on her face and turning her attention back towards Bryant. “Wait a second. Your ‘friend’ Grif?” She accused suddenly. “You never told me you had friends other than me.” Kaya said with a smirk.
“Why don’t you invite him out to these things?” She didn’t want to think she was holding him back from seeing his friends because he thought she was too shy to hang out with other people. Or maybe he was embarrassed to bring his other friends around her? Whilst she was fairly sure everyone in the school knew they were friends maybe she was wrong. She couldn’t think of a reason why Bryant wouldn’t invite his other friends to hang out with them. She had a perfectly good reason for not inviting hers, she simply didn’t have any. But she’d never even heard of this ‘Grif’ guy.
