The virtual reality simulator strapped to your head is keeping you prisoner inside of an RPG game known as "Sword Art Online" if anyone attempts to remove it your brain will be fried. In addition to that if your character in the game dies your brain will also be fried, The creator of the game has told you and the other players that the only escape from the game is to clear all one hundred floors in the game world. You are apart of the Golden Dragon guild, it was established shortly after the speech given by Akihiko Kayaba; the GM of the MMORPG you are stuck inside. The guild has only one goal, and that is to lead the assault team in clearing all one hundred floors in order to escape the game. You begin your journey on floor one, where the guild is preparing to launch a raid on the floor dungeon and defeat the boss. In order for you to have any chance of success you will have to make sacrifices, people will die and there's nothing you can do about that. You must put aside your fears and objections in order to become one of the most powerful players in the game, and ultimately escape back to reality.



More will be explained in OOC, but thats the gist of it. This is a semi advanced/high casual RP, and I'll be asking for a post every few days. Characters from the anime do not exist and the story will have little to do with anything from the show, so having watched it isn't a requirement. You can have your own unique skill and fighting style, and magic will be included in the RP. Although I'm open to suggestions and objections. If you're interested let me know and I'll get working on an OOC.

Noble Arm Abilities: The Colt 1911 pistol that Winston possesses isn't like any other fire arm. He has two options; he can let the bullet travel to its destination and explode, or he can teleport to the bullet at any point provided it is no more than twenty feet from him. This still applies even if the bullet is embedded in a target, allowing him to appear behind someone after shooting them. The explosion radius of his bullets is roughly eight feet in diameter, capable of obliterating a target. However Winston isn't immune to this explosion and could blown up by his own bullets if he isn't careful.

*Likes: Numbers and equations, written work, being correct/winning at something, chemistry, target practice

*Dislikes: Sports, teamwork, losing/being wrong, having to explain himself, world history, salads

Fears: Spiders, Heights, Blowing himself up with his gun, girls

Bio: Winston is a model student, he's taken and passed several gifted intelligence classes and is regarded as a prodigy in mathematics and sciences as well as maintaining a steady 4.0 GPA average throughout his Canadian schooling. Coming from the family of an investment banker and mathematician he received little praise for his academic excellence, as it was expected from him. In fact he doesn't even consider himself overly intelligent, he's just under the impression that everyone else around him is simply stupid. Among the few hobbies Winston engaged in was fire arms and target practice, he enjoyed the feeling of holding a powerful weapon in hands. His father allowed his use of a gun when he was thirteen, taking notice of his level of responsibility; which was far beyond his age. Although he was only ever allowed to fire it at ranges, there was one within walking distance of his school. He never abandoned this practice and continued to work on his shot since his obtaining a small pistol from his father, after four years of dedicated practice he's become one hell of a shot. Winston was aware of his noble arm around his seventeenth birthday, when it came out of hyperspace to him during his nighttime homework session, he already knew a little about noble arms. They interested the young boy because of his hobby in weaponry, and he was thrilled when he realized that he was in possession of one such object. Furthermore, it was a gun! The only weapon he had any prowess in. He told his father about the incident, who in turn informed Winston that he would switching schools immediately; Winston knew better than to argue. His father looked around for a few nights for a school that could teach noble arm skills, before settling on a low tuition academy in the Philippines.

Pirates of Mars

When he was hit the bullet traveled through the back of his eye and severed he optic nerve, so that was replaced as well. The cyber nerve has a conversion software that transfers the format of the impulses in the eye to the format that a normal human brain uses, so its basically porting ware that allows it to work the way it does. Also like you said the optic nerve improves image qualilty

Charlie has a cybernetic right eye, allowing him to see far distances and greatly improve his aim with scoped weapons. It it equipped with mid level detection technology, letting him see uncloaked heat signatures and calculate exact distances within eye sight.

Personality:

"I'm the best shot in the whole galaxy!"
Charlie is an extrovert, with skills in smooth talking and seduction. He's quite good with the ladies, but tends to run his mouth a little too much when around the opposite gender. He loves money and rarely does anything unless it's involved, He sees the war as an opportunity for profit. Although once you buy his support nothing can make him turn traitor on you, being a firm believer in honesty in business. He dislikes it when people think of themselves as greater than himself, especially when they actually are. He'd love to be a captain of his own ship, but he can't pilot and doesn't own one. He's not too good with numbers but can understand battle tactics and how machines work.

Biography:

Charlie never went to university , he didn't really function in an environment with numbers and calculations. He was a hands on kinda guy, so he graduated high school with low marks and few career options. He bumped around between jobs in construction, bar tending, even busing tables in a restaurant. But he didn't like any of those jobs, they didn't suit him. One thing did call out to him though, the military. He could shoot stuff all day and wear a cool uniform. The local recruiter for the UN Armed Forces was happy to take him, being a strong young man with an excellent natural aim.

He served for three years and ascended to the position of combat sniper, with over fifty confirmed kills. He was good at his job, save for the time he caught a bullet with his face. Luckily it was a low caliber pistol and he survived, but his right eye was completely destroyed. He was hospitalized for two weeks, sitting through failed ocular reconstructions. An implant was placed in his right eye socket, paid for by the UN Military insurance. How did he repay them? By illegally leaving his position and abandoning the army. When he was informed war was on the way and that he would be called into battle with such a low salary, he decided to desert his position. He went into hiding on Earth for a small time, before hitching a ride to Mars on a space ferry. Which cleared him out completely, he found himself on a foreign planet with no money and only the skills of a soldier to keep him above water. The only profession available to him was mercenary work, not that he minded that though; Charlie loved to shoot stuff. With the upcoming war pirate crews were being put together to operate as hired guns and to pick up the scraps of battle. He was quickly picked up by one such crew, especially due to his knowledge of enemy battle tactics and military skill.

Why do you want to join?
Charlie is simply in this for the money, and the fact that he enjoys putting people out of commission via the scope of a high caliber rifle.

This beauty of a machine is Charlie's best friend in the whole galaxy, he's modified the sight to specifically cooperate with his eye. It can make advanced shot calculations for him and map the bullet path right inside of his eye, making it a truly deadly weapon in his hands. A certain way to get on his bad side is to touch this gun.
