Winston liked to stay in the back of crowds and observe, contrary to getting mixed up in things and digging himself into a hole he didn't want to be in. It was this exact tendency that he demonstrated when the boy with the axe began shouting. He took mental notes on the axe, and the girls weapons; being two pistols. Just in case he had to face off against them in the future. One student tried to intervene and "save" the damsel in distress, something Winston found rather amusing.
"She's probably just as strong or stronger than him, and he's still treating her like she's helpless. Maybe he's new." He pondered quietly to himself, while another girl yelled something about the girl winning. His earlier precautions of noting their abilities were made irrelevant when arrows began sprouting out of them, seemingly from nowhere. The students had to be carried off in stretchers, while the sending of the projectiles was caught by security. A man he couldn't see began talking to her, and lead her to the disciplinary office.
"Oh well, less competition. She looked like she'd be a hard one to surpass, good thing she's gone now." Winston's analytic mind spun the situation in his favor, it had a way of doing that. He readjusted his book bag and started on his way to class, past two people seemingly taking part in an interview heading in the same direction. He overhead one of them discussing the powers of her noble arm, "Infinite rocks? Sounds ridiculous, but not that useful in battle." He made a mental note of the girl's power, before slipping on some leftover water from the janitor and stumbling right into the girl.
"Oh god, I'm so sorry miss. It was an accident, are you alright?" His reply was short and well thought out, what she didn't know was that the moment he touched her he put a plan into motion. As he "stumbled" he placed one of the bullets that his noble arm utilizes in her pocket, which went completely unnoticed. "Hopefully she doesn't own many pairs of pants, or that was completely pointless." He thought to himself as he apologized.
