RL has been kicking my ass this week, I haven't had the time/energy to write a proper post. I'll try and get one up tomorrow night ^^;
Seems you have a lot of people already, but I'll pipe in too.
No worries, it happens to everyone =)
Oops, sorry ^^; Fixed that mistake in my IC post.
As the shuttle touched down, Tashia Wex snapped to attention along with the rest of the welcoming party. The long-haired Tirolian's face was set in a professional frown, her uniform and salute impeccable. It wasn't just for the humans' benefit - It had been months since the Tirolian remnants had joined the Sentinels, but she still copped the occasional suspicious glare or snide murmur in the flagship's corridors and mess halls. The Robotech Masters had held power in the core worlds for so long that some people still saw Imperial jackboots every time they looked at a Tirolian. Well, she had been chosen for the welcoming detail, not them. That fact alone was somewhat reassuring to the young pilot - maybe someone up the chain of command saw things differently.

She was distracted from her train of thought as the human commander stepped down from her shuttle. The new aliens were always odd to look at, she thought. Not because of how different they were, but because they were so familiar. This Commander Hays even more so, with her build not as stocky as most humans - If she squinted, she could have mistaken the tall brown-haired woman for a pale Tirolian. The ramifications of this had been dominating the shipboard rumour mill ever since the battle above Tirol, especially amongst the Tirolian crew, but for her part Tash had kept herself too busy to indulge in much speculation. The humans were good fighters, that would have to be enough for now.

Tash was trying to follow the conversation between her own CO and the human commander - she had scrambled to learn the human language when it had been announced they were joining the fleet, but she was sure she had been making embarrasing mistakes every time she talked to a human in the Sentinel's corridors - when the emergency lights snapped on. She stiffened, heart racing as she cast a meaningful look at the Felness beside her, Mike. Talk about a warm welcome...
Hmm, quick question - do the Sentinels know that the Macross is what the Robot Masters up and left to chase after?
Oh god, I watched a few episodes of Robotech to get a feel for the 'verse again, and now I'm hearing Silver's posts in the narrator's voice XD
In a clearing by the roadside, set into the grey rock of a small cliff face, Erin had found a door. She had been walking this route, one she had stepped down countless times over the years, but she had never noticed this door before. It was dark brown wood, polished to a sheen, with an ornate metal handle. It stood out from the dreary, dusty rocks and the dewy, mist-strewn forest like a beacon.

It was quite the most interesting thing she'd seen all week.

Despite the call of the next in the endless line of doomed souls, The dullahan stepped closer, running one gauntleted hand over the doorway as she looked up at it. "How intriguing..." She murmured to herself, trying the handle. To her delight, it was unlocked, and she slowly pushed it open to reveal a hallway, with wooden floorboards and painted walls, and the soft murmur of voices drifting from somewhere deeper in.

There was no way she could pass this opportunity up. She would just have a quick look, then be on her way again. The dullahan stepped into the hallway, turning her head in her hands to look either way. It seemed to be a house, pretty standard-looking as far as she could tell. Tucking her head under her arm, in its usual spot, she walked towards the sound of voices. Unbeknownst to her, the door silently swung shut and latched...

Erin appeared at the top of the stairs and looked down at the scene. The dullahan had a sense for souls, and she could feel something different about those below. Not a mundane dwelling, then. In fact, only one of the figures below was human. One was a beast of some sort, the other two more humanoid. There was something familiar about the red-haired woman, although she couldn't really place what it was exactly. Clad in sinister-looking black armour, with the hilt of a massive sword sticking out over one shoulder, the new arrival would have been an imposing sight even without the flickering blue flame where her head should be, her actual face peering down from under one arm. She didn't say anything, accustomed to being invisible among other creatures, simply watching curiously.
I'm with you on minmay's songs XD Probably my least favourite bits of Robotech (Which I should probably start watching again, now this is getting started.)

My friends and I have been watching/snarking over the original Gundam series lately, and the Macross theme reminds me of that show's opening - somewhat bizarre and extremely cheesy XD
I'd never actually seen the Macross opening. I have to admit that it doesn't do it for me like the Robotech fanfare does :P
