I'm pretty interested.

Any sort of info on the Adepts' abilities? Stylistic focus? Limits?
I felt like throwing a ball over the fourth wall to Tyson. Hopefully his being the first to speak doesn't interrupt anyone's plans. Hard to weave through all the spheres of influence when they're packed into a room.
Given the room was not located on the ground floor of the hospital, Tyson's assigned police officer elected to wait outside it, just as soon as she assured herself there was no second exit the gunshot drifter could sneak through. Tyson had privately checked for the same thing, somewhat more disappointed with the negative than his companion.

The situation which quickly developed from that point left Tyson somewhat taken aback. It was understandable for several people to congregate in a hospital room -- friends, relatives, the odd medical professional -- but a number of oddities presented themselves. For one, few, if any of the attendees seemed to know each other, if their expressions were any clue. Added to that, the guy was in a coma. It struck Tyson as odd that various people would choose to visit an unconscious person together; it was an opportunity to whisper secrets to an acquaintance, after all.

The really surprising bit, however, was when the young man in question woke, spontaneously, when the room was filled. A layman in medicine, Tyson did not know the conditions for waking people from comas, but he was fairly sure that if filling a room with people was the trick, someone would've cottoned on by that point in human history. A coincidence though, piled on what seemed like another coincidence?

To fend off his own unease, Tyson broke the silence which he felt followed all such absurdities as the present situation.

"Least we all made it, finally. I was starting to think the party wouldn't happen."

The woman who Tyson presumed to be the no-longer-comatose patient's mother looked at him with a some measure of confusion, before deciding to ignore him and moving to speak to her son. Tyson, more stranger here than anyone, so far as he knew, watched the scene rather than inserting some new comment. His own parents came to mind, and he decided to look away, his gaze moving to fresh-looking cookies.

Ah well; understandable. I wish everyone luck in other RP endeavors.
Aah, I love 'd' pronounced as a voiced 'th'.

So we're not doing that 'use the characters that already exist' thing yet? S'pose it works, since the character in question hadn't interacted with any of the other PCs.
Apologies for the lack of OOC conversation. I've been in sort of a pissy mood lately, which is meant to be what the meds are for, but, you know: dat neurochemistry.
Pro followed his savior, head hunched to meet the demands of the cave. From her words, he imagined the fate of Kimball in her hands to involve a hefty ransom. The honest were dangerous in a unique way, he considered, before answering her.

"An easy one to say, no less. I'm called Pro." He paused, observing the way oil-born light played through the cave ahead of them, and thinking over his next words. How much did he have left to do?

"I'm something of an anthropologist at heart, which involves pissing a great many people off, but I work medicine for those who can return a favor. For the Legion, that favor was not crucifying me for helping a little town with a losing battle. They'd probably give you the same payment for me, Miss...."

Pro made a vague gesture to indicate his wish for his counterpart to fill the given blank, despite both the dark and her leading their walk through the cave. Immediately distracting was the sound of a dog growling from the direction they were moving in. The young medic slowed instinctively, wondering at whether the beast had been trained in either stealth or manners.
I'll have Noburo fight, if it moves this bastard forward. I'm not super concerned about which lieutenant he fights, after more thought.
Ishimatsu's zanpakuto would whip Rangiku's easily, so it may not be ideal for him to face her. I could put him against Renji though, if no one else wants to. I could maybe also play Rangiku, the previous exception withstanding.

Am I correct in understanding Renji is the only role filled in that scene, as of yet?
A disappearing player saddens me, but one should prioritize OOC shit.

So are we waiting to set up the details of the battle scene before we proceed, or waiting for information about the new character(s)?
