Ooh, I see. So I'm the only new one here, currently? Scary thought. :P I await other players and the start of this thing.
Odd due to his reclusive adolescence, or odd due to the number itself? I'm still wondering whether the numbers have static characteristics, given how everyone is circling around specific ones.
Hmz. Well, I did finally finish writing out Personality, but I'm not sure if it could maybe use more refinement. It'd be interesting to see a friendship develope between those two. :P
So I mean, I'm gonna try and finish my character, who I'd planned to be 2/Kindness. He's taking a while to wring out though, and I still don't know if I have the requisite competence here. We'll see.
Woooooo!

Also, took two small liberties, one being a fire warming the room, and the other being Scout's order in the Joining, which was more logical extension than choice. Can edit if necessary.
A lone dwarf stood atop an ancient tower. It looked to have been in a state of poor physical repair, but still standing strong. 'Turret is pretty sturdy too,' Scout joked internally. Still, the view was captivating. In Orzammar, which he'd visited but twice, a person could look a vast distance from the safety above the magma lake. In this place, and at this height, the scope was infinitely magnified. He felt as if a light breeze might carry him away, into that mysterious sky.

On cue, a horn called from some short distance below him, and Scout allowed only a glance more into the wood and swamp of the Korcari, before descending through a trap door of much more recent make than the castle itself. The state of said door attested to how little that distinction meant in that ruin. When Scout had made his way down to the floor his Commander had called from, he looked to the human.

"Commander," he greeted, before settling onto a block of wood quite clearly used to split the smaller logs around it. Scout tossed one of the cut logs into the nearby small fire which warmed the room, seeing it in sore need of one. The smoke from Surface fires had boggled Scout's mind, in his adolescent smuggling, he remembered. It was a nice distraction from the fact that he would be the first to drink the Darkspawn blood as a symbolic Joining, and a demonstration for the recruits. Of course, it wouldn't do much good to drink it last, when he recruits had all passed out or died. Sadly, the taste merely put him in the mood for violence, which was best directed at Darkspawn.

"Gotta wonder which ones will live through it," the dwarf openly declared. His keen senses assured him no one was near enough to eavesdrop. Not that it was a great concern, since they were about to find out the great risk of Taint exposure. Another joke came to mind, which Scout had the sense to ignore.
Despite being fairly different in nature, this plot reminds me of Mirai Nikki. If I can measure up to the Cardboard Tube Samurai's standards, I think I'd like to play. I am also intrigued by the PCs needing to die, which I guess was the point of the phrasing, given the ellipses. It's especially interesting due to corpses being possessed by demons.

Anyway, interest hereby expressed.
The Inquisition fought against Templars and employed mages, so I'm not sure about the anti-mage angle. Some of these hypothetical splinters might well be, but I don't imagine that'd be the norm.

If you're all good with female!Isala, I'd say go for it.
I do like that idea, actually. It's useful, tidy, and flavorful. Maybe the Inquisition fell apart into various splinter groups of mercenaries, warlords, and so forth? That gives us a few extra encounters and factions to work with, as well.

I don't wanna encourage Isala to be female and then have Pyro regret making [her] as such, but it does help with our ratios. I'd make Scout female to do that, but I don't think I play female particularly well.
So, this is apparently a thing, which I was unaware of. Some very interesting tidbits in here.

I'm ready whenever, incidentally.
