The man in the suit took the glass of water and gratefully began to sip on it. "...I came here," he said trying to find the words, "to find some fun, good times. It's a Saturday and I've had a long week."
Jones squeezed Hurrah's hand reassuringly. She didn't answer his question about her well being. "In the tavern over there." She told her brother, "with all the knights around it'll be the safest place for miles."
A young man in a suit stepped into the tent. His hair was matted, unkempt and ratty, already it was balding. His eyes were tired, it was as if they were rimed by a dark canyon. He wore a suit, but it was ratty similar in appearance to his hair. He looked around. He wouldn't speak unless spoken too.
Jones overheard the gossip of such knights, and she thought to herself that perhaps it would be a within their interests to investigate such a phenomenon. "We should stay here for now." She told Bidzil, she looked around for Hurrah. "At least for the night, I would like to investigate what's causing this."
Despite calling it free roam it’s feeling like a linear push into Nero with no other hooks or points of interest happening elsewhere. Not a bad thing, just saying might get more replies if presented with more choices.
I think that could be solved if our characters had more solid goals.
