Cecil couldn’t let those men know he was there, or maybe they already knew and had simply taken this opportunity to back him into a corner with this boat to get him. How did they find him so quickly and through what method? He didn’t see them anywhere before this and now they were here and everyone was fighting, meaning simply running away from them wasn’t going to be an option. He had to run and hide for now, hope that the men would be beaten back before they noticed he was here. He had to get away, he didn’t want to be taken away so soon, even if he did want to help those on deck and get them all to safety. He couldn’t risk it while those men were after him and right now they were proving to be the biggest source of fear right now.

Without even stopping to help Ethan he ran right around and down below deck, disregarding the fact that he was being attacked by some mysterious woman. If he stopped and caused up a fuss there he would just get caught. They might dismantle him and take him to the factory where he was made in no time. He didn’t want to be destroyed, they would erase everything he knew about himself up to this point and his journey would be for nowt. The others couldn’t possibly understand how that felt, to have everything you ever knew be at risk. He didn’t know what death was like, but the thought that everything he knew could possibly be erased was worth fleeing from. It was a terrifying thought and one he didn't know how to come to terms with, only knowing the solution right now was to run and hide from those who wish to do him harm.

Coming down into the very lower region of the ship the light only shone through a little but the sounds continued to echo from above, the spacious room only amplifying what was going outside while the sturdy build made his footsteps seem quiet in contrast. In the large room sat a fair number of crates and chests, some pretty large and hopefully some empty enough for him to hop on in one to hide. Running on over to them he started to pull at the crates, trying to see if they opened easily so that nothing appeared suspicious. Unfortunately for him the crates appeared pretty tight, as if they had been shut by some sort of binding. Without having much of a thought about the possibility of being delicate when removing the tops of the crates he immediately moved around to try and find one that might just be open.

So the crates were bolted shut, he didn’t even know what was inside them but there must’ve been something important in these crates if they had to be shut so tight. He couldn’t care right now, he needed to find somewhere to hide. Running around to a large chest he figured it would be easier to open since there appeared to be a locking mechanism rather than bolts. Bending down in front of a particularly large one he pressed his finger against the lock, sending a small bolt of electricity into it which overloaded the lock mechanism before throwing it open.

Much to his dismay the chest appeared to be quite full, but he failed to notice at first what was inside. There appeared to be parts of Machina inside which was definitely a rather creepy, the equivalent of the others looking at limbs of their own kind in a box. Staring at the parts he slowly moved the parts, trying to create space for himself before something at the bottom caught his eye. There was a long and thin chain at the bottom, one that appeared to be part of a bigger mechanism. It certainly caught his interest and as he picked it up to get a better look at it the sound it started to make had him in a panic immediately. There was an intense crackling that sounded from it as if electricity was passing through it and was easily loud enough to possibly alert the men in the suits if they were looking for him. Pulling it out of the chest he fumbled with it to try and turn it off, trying to figure out what was happening to it which ended with him squeezing it hard.

Squeezing it proved to be the biggest mistake for him. Without warning electricity passed through him and the chain, causing him to freeze up completely. In the moment that he froze the chain glowed bright before suddenly breaking into pieces, all of which immediately attached themselves to Cecil and melded into his body. Cecil remained frozen as electricity flowed across him briefly before he slowly raised his hands to his head, shaking as strange images filled his head. He was seeing the chain, but it was binding him down, or at least what he thought was him. It couldn’t had been him though, he could see fleshy hands instead of his own. There was images of what he thought was him being dragged somewhere, his body tied down forcefully with the chain in another setting with a flash before suddenly a surge of pain as electricity suddenly shot through him. Cecil couldn’t help but scream out in pain, his mind feeling like it was being attacked with a series of mental images he could no longer make out. Keeping a hold of his head he slowly bent forward, ceasing his scream as he gasped despite not any mechanical requirement to breathe. His eyes flashed on and off, his power becoming fairly indecisive as to whether to stay online.
Krom didn’t believe he would be better off, even if Aito was trying to reassure his safety compared to what the rebels might do to him. The history between them was pretty long seeing how Korian and Sayomi came from the Saiyan army in the first place and compared to the history this group shared with the rebels it was like comparing a puddle to an ocean. He wasn’t pleased with how Aito believed he had greater power over what the rebels had, he also didn’t know what gave him the idea that Korian was going to be okay with any of this. “These ‘children’…hmm, yes. They are just children, despite what they’ve done. I don’t know what makes you think Korian will be happy with them taking away their highest rated criminal in custody, saying that”, he spoke, still having his doubts even if he was trying to reassure his safety, “If you’re going to do any convincing to anybody, you’re going to have to direct that to Korian. Why they would ever let me go is all up to questioning”. Hearing how Aito handled the disappearance of Viral made him question if the man had any compassion for others in him. It was obvious that Viral had been hurt by him in a few ways and yet Aito showed not even a speck of care other than saying it was Viral’s own fault for stepping in between them. Staring at him quizzingly he folded his arms, hardly impressed by the passive concern he was only showing to not look bad. “I don’t think that’s what he’s angry about, you know. Do you have no social skills or something? Oh he’s probably fine, it’s only enough to have him wander off during a talk about his own kind, after all…”

Viral was annoyed and with no way to get around having Yumi find him he couldn’t move anywhere, not like he wanted to anyway. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do or how to deal with her when he was trying to deal with an obvious weakness of his. Being in a lot of pain was definitely something that had great disadvantages when trying to get anywhere. Seeing her finally find her he stared up at her before letting out a groan, looking away from her. “Well I am done so I don’t have to care anymore…” Keeping a fair hold on his paws he tried to not have Yumi notice anything wrong going on with him, but of course she was going to even if he tried his hardest to ignore her. She always had a tendency to notice if there was something wrong with him, much more than any of the others did at least. Looking back to her when she knelt down before him he frowned, watching her hands before they took hold of his. Her touch specifically on the paw he used to block the punch with caused a fair surge of pain to run right up his arm like electricity, his eyes widening momentarily before turning into a forced glare as he tried to concentrate on not showing he was in pain. Staring at her momentarily he soon slowly looked away, gritting his teeth as he let out an unsteady sigh. “Oh great, sure…okay…” he muttered, finding she was really not talking about this at the best of times, “Except it’s not going to happen. It’ll be you…and Aito…and Vegeta…doing everything, but it’s not like it’s going to be easy. It’ll be another fortress and another battle and…there will be more than just Saiyans to fight. Let go of me…please”.

Shu was pretty excited about the offer, smiling happily as he rubbed his hands together. He was going to hopefully ease his troubles sleeping, or at least he hoped he would considering what was said. He didn’t want to lose his hearing like what was said too, but he hoped Takeshi and Vegeta was going to make sure that didn’t happen. Smiling happily he raised his shoulders, rubbing his hands together as he thought about everything he had done, but the thought that he wasn’t normal definitely bugged him still. Staring at the floor as Vegeta spoke about the subject he sighed a little, pressing his fingertips together as he tried to make it out to be more encouraging than anything that there was a solution to that problem as well. “I don’t know if I want to be called a Saiyan, though…I mean, I’m not very good at being a Saiyan either”, he sighed, shaking his head a little, “I don’t know how they are not bad, though. They are big differences and are bad things, so how can they not be bad? What is even fix to problem…?”
Krom had little trust in Aito or even Yumi but that was pretty normal for someone who was essentially their enemy despite his current stance with helping to train the others up. That was more to do with them being too weak to fight off the stronger enemies of the galaxy, especially when the creatures were even stronger. Even with the Beastmen they had to be strong if they were going to survive future battles without using them. Hearing Aito try and reassure him that he won’t face torture he frowned, staring at him as he spoke as he tried to see the truth in that notion. If Aito was confident he wasn’t going to receive torture even after being beaten with the intention to get information out of him then he was pretty curious as to what his version of torture might be. “In your custody? You realise the only reason the rebels are keeping me alive is because I’m doing a service. What makes you think you can convince them to leave me in your hands? You’re the only one strong enough to hold me at bay, after all”. When Viral was given at least a thought about finally by Aito he looked around as well before snickering, looking back to Aito. “You really think he would stick around after what you did? Either that was his arm I heard or you broke him with that punch”, he spoke before sighing, shaking his head, “The lack of care you had after that was just painful to watch…”

Viral had managed to walk a fair bit until he was unable to go any further, managing to get to the woods before it got to be too much. He was well aware that his energy would eventually recover, but whatever happened before then was always going to be a case of it being unruly for the most part. He would have to try and keep his pride by hiding away while he dealt with the pain of being struck and his entire being having been shattered. Clutching his wrist as he hid against a tree he sat against it, staring down at his shaking claws before freezing up when he heard Yumi not too far away. Why was she looking for him? She had no reason to come out looking for him, he was just fine on his own apart from the crippling pain and feeling of no control. He just wished to be left alone after that, but she was going to sniff him out anyway. It wasn’t as if it was going to be hard anyway, he was probably stinking of blood and sweat at this point.

Shu didn’t know how it was possible to overdo music but if he thought it could be done then maybe he really should watch out. He was scared of losing his hearing, but if it had a likelihood of it not happening then he would be happy with his ability to listen to music to try and sleep. Smiling at Vegeta he bounced on his seat, getting excited about the possibility of many types of music being given to him. He didn’t know what kinds of music there was other than what he was hearing on the television. “Ooh! That would be nice, I would very much like that…” he spoke quietly, thinking about what other kinds of music there could possibly be. When Vegeta decided to ask him how he was feeling he frowned, pressing his fingers together. “Well, feeling okay just now. Takeshi took me to play with other people! Not had good day at start, though. Takeshi only help to make me feel better about being so different from other Saiyans. Still no sure how to feel about that…”
Krom didn’t feel he was being given much room to move around in with all of these words being thrown in his face, his main concern being whether he could find a way around this by not being directly involved in the discovery of the Beastman’s facilities and what could possibly be going on over there. Everything in this whole design was being played against him and he was going to receive no benefit out of any of this whatsoever. He was going to end up as a prisoner no matter what he did, whether their prisoner or Yamate’s for betraying him beyond what he had said he would do. Hearing Aito try to compromise he narrowed his eyes at the offer, frowning deeply before looking over to Yumi when she decided to butt in again. They were dead set on giving these Beastmen freedom, but that was a lot of creatures to control and probably not all of them were going to be huge fans of taking orders from someone else they were not familiar with, even if it was the offer of freedom.

Groaning lightly he looked away before ending on a sigh, looking back at Yumi at her mention of being a Beastman. The problem with her was she was forced to be one in the first place so having her go along with the whole freedom aspect didn’t sit in his mind very well since it would always be the default choice with her. He didn’t know what Viral would think of this since the Beastman had wandered off so having Yumi speak for him only sprung doubt into his mind that he would go along with it too. “I have no doubt the Commander would have any intention other than to send them into battle. He craves it as much as a pure blooded Saiyan does. You can see it in his eyes…or rather, what you can see of them”, he spoke, waving his hand over half of his face before folding his arms again, “But I guess I have no choice in the matter. I either get tortured and eventually spill my guts about the project’s location or I give the coordinates and get it all over with. Either way, I’m going to remain locked up and under critical watch indefinitely so there’s no plus in it for me”.

Shu stared at Vegeta curiously, hanging onto whatever he said but frowned at the thought that his hearing was most likely going to go. With old age being mentioned Shu raised his shoulders, looking a little worried until Vegeta tried to raise his mood again, trying to make it out as if it was something that would never happen otherwise to someone like him. “Oooh, I don’t want to not be able to hear…then I’ll never hear the bad guys”, he spoke, raising his hands to his ears. While he was a little worried about his future now the thought that maybe music might help him in some way was definitely encouraging, giving Vegeta a smile when he was given a plan of action. “Ooh! I would like that! I don’t know what kind of music I would like because I don’t know what music there is other than that music. Music to make me sleepy is good music for me all the time”.
Krom didn’t think either of them were getting the gist of it, but that was their problem for being quick on the draw and not willing to understand just what they had been working on here. They were quick to assume just what the Beastmen were like and thinking they were all like Yumi was just silly. That was their own problem though, he wasn’t going to be saying what they were really like if they were so ready and willing to believe he was responsible for taking away the social lives of others and have them all be like Yumi. That already proved to be too silly a notion and to believe that all those Beastmen could happily go to a society like theirs was just childish. But whatever, he wasn’t going to be compromising the mission when it meant the survival of many more without them being taken away. Looking to Yumi he soon sighed, shaking his head. When neither of them knew what it was like there everything they were suggesting was just coming out as almost laughable to him.

“Look, either you give them a job to do or you try and introduce them to society like the ruffians they are compared to you ‘civilised chumps’”, Krom spoke up, waving his hand, “You lot don’t even trust me to be civilised”. Looking to Aito who decided to pitch in again he frowned, making them sound like they were all disabled somehow with that. He really disliked how they all assumed everything the Saiyans did was evil and disgusting. “Look if it makes you feel better we couldn’t recreate what Viral is, but that doesn’t mean there’s not some strong Beastman too”, he spoke, looking away as he waved his hand, “Most of them are subordinates, anyway…simple soldiers”. He really disliked how Aito wanted to reduce the project into nothing after all that effort, not to mention how he was treating it like a massive inconvenience for it to exist. Technology was much more advanced than what Aito had been used to using back whenever he was last around with Viral so he saw no reason for it to be considered hazardous or anything like what Aito did to make Viral. Looking back to Aito when he spoke again he frowned, disliking how he was laying that on him as a reason for the project to come to a halt. “My protest comes from the number of lives that will be endangered because of these monsters and the inability to combat them effectively. I only want to protect those that can’t protect themselves. The only way I can see a compromise around this is if you were to destroy the monsters complete instead of lazing around and running away all the time”.

Shu had no idea what it was like to have music in his life up until now and by the sounds of this one piece of music he had been missing out on a lot. Who knew how many types of music there was out there and why it sounded like that, or maybe Takeshi did and he wasn’t willing to say what made the music and what other types there were for him to enjoy. Getting all excited over the thought of the music and more of it he hoped maybe it was possible to help him with his sleep patterns, maybe even give him some nice dreams instead of those haunting ones he often had that freaked him out. Smiling at him he squeaked when he asked Vegeta, looking to him curiously to see what he had to say. It was a little odd that Takeshi threw a pillow at him, but if it was going to get him attention then maybe it was normal behaviour. Smiling at Vegeta he soon slowly tilted his head, feeling confused about the stuff they had to be careful about when it came to the music. There seemed to be a lot to music if all that could make it hard to sleep. Staring at him as he spoke he soon scratched his head, squeaking lightly. “Ooh! Really? Don’t want to not lose hearing…is that actually a thing?” he questioned him, finding it hard to believe such a condition existed with his limited understanding of the body, “I wanna have nice sleep and good dreams. Don’t wanna feel tired a lot during the day, wanna be able to bounce all times of day…”
Krom was not willing to talk to Aito but talking to Yumi was by far a lot easier when he knew she was more entitled to know more about it. She was the one who was part of the project and even though Aito was standing around there was little reason to hold anything back from her. She was the one who was part of the experiments and Viral did help him out along with her. Viral didn’t seem too happy with what had happened, he was leaving the scene but he couldn’t really blame the Beastman after being punched by Aito so hard. If that flash he saw out of the corner of his eye when Viral pushed him away something had properly shattered. “They can’t go back to society because most of them are not like you. Most of them are more beast than man if you get my drift”, he spoke, frowning when Aito decided to push himself into the conversation with a rather naïve suggestion. Smirking at first he soon chuckled, shaking his head with a sigh. “You can’t just take everything they’ve known away from them and expect them to fit into society! Not even I can do that”, he shrugged, “You two are very naïve and childish in your way of thinking. You can’t just take a wild animal and expect it to be your pet! Either they fight like they’re supposed to or you force them to integrate into society by means of if they don’t behave, they’re getting locked up. Maybe you should learn you can’t place a killer into society and expect them to act like that part of them doesn’t exist”.

Viral felt like his entire being had been broken, even though he was still physically together. It was difficult to move nevermind walk like nothing had happened. His energy really was weak, if his shield was destroyed that quickly then how would he stand a chance against another strong foe. All of his skills were based on his energy and seeing it break as if it was a thin sheet of ice made him wonder if he was ever going to compare with a real warrior. Sure, Aito was a Super Saiyan when he punched him, but even he was expecting Krom to take that hit with only a bit of damage. It angered him, he was angry at Aito now too for ever being so vicious to Krom who wasn’t at fault. Deciding he had done his job he was off, not really knowing where he was going but he wasn’t going to go back to the house, dropping the top as he walked. If he was going to collapse in pain he certainly wasn’t going to do it here after such a spectacle.

Shu found that thought to be awfully exciting, he didn’t even know where to start with it all. It would be great to be able to play this game with the ball and it would be great to find out about all sorts of music and whether he would like all these types of music. This was certainly an exciting time for him, almost like the time he had been taken in by the people and shown everything he had been missing while being in the jungle. “Musician?? Ooh! That person of music? But already knew you weren’t because you’re Takeshi”, he spoke quickly, nodding in confirmation, “I would like to have music that make me happy. Can music make you sleepy too? Would like to be able to sleep through night, I mean. Wanna know if music helps…”
Viral had held a lot back about his experiences with the Saiyans, but it was all necessary. He saw no reason to end up having to tell them everything that happened unless it was unavoidable. It had been a whole year he had been gone for and it wasn’t as if Takeshi remembered him to ask what he was doing or what squad he was with. He did wonder if he would ever be dragged into that life once more, his inability to see a future that didn’t end with a loss for him was not giving him a whole lot of confidence. Just now he was angry at Aito for how he acted towards Krom. The man had already surrendered and if he wasn’t willing to talk it wasn’t as if he was going to accept Aito’s rage in defeat. What if he was a Beastman from the project but wasn’t willing to talk, would Aito beat them up until he told? Feeling pretty angry with all that had happened he frowned when Yumi tried to give him the benefit of the doubt that he never meant to hurt any of them directly, touching his cheek in a slightly embarrassing moment. Frowning, he didn’t know how to feel about any of it or whether he should blame himself, seeing how he didn’t know why they wanted him when they picked him up in the first place. To him it sounded like she really hated what had been done to her too. Staring at her when she decided to approach Krom he slowly stepped back, finding the steps to be much more difficult as the realisation that he was trying to move after being hit by a Super Saiyan punch.

Krom wasn’t sure what he wanted to say after all that, knowing he was already talking too much about it. Yumi certainly seemed rather understandable to Viral’s activities regarding the project while Aito was pretty silent, then again he had been hit pretty embarrassingly by Yumi with that slap. Frowning when Yumi decided to approach him he folded his arms, disliking what she was suggesting. “They will want to fight, but whether with you or with Yamate I don’t know. There’s a lot of them, so you would have to be prepared to accommodate them more than simply letting them go”, he spoke calmly, rolling his shoulder slowly, “You do realise that simply saying you’ll let them go isn’t going to be enough? You have to figure out what to do with them. They’re not going to be used to the same society you’re used to either. Even your friend Viral has expressed his inability to integrate into normal society”.

Shu didn’t understand, he thought ball was a fun game to play but Takeshi didn’t seem to like it at all. “Ooh, net? Rules? I don’t understand! What to score? I don’t know, might be fun I think!” He would play any game so long as it was fun, but Takeshi didn’t seem to like anything or seem interested in things that was probably going to be a fun new experience for him. Everything seemed to be boring to Takeshi so it was definitely hard to see him show any of these things. Gasping at the notion of having music on the ship he happily bounced on his seat. “Yeah! Would be nice! Maybe relaxing? What other music you saying? What might I like? What can music do?”
Krom saw no reason to be indulging so much of this information to Aito when he would just abuse him some more for using his creation, but when it came to Yumi at least she was being civilised about it. It was the little things that made him want to talk, plus having her slap him across the face like that was pretty golden. Listening to Yumi who was being a lot more reasonable about it all compared to Aito, he sighed lightly before shaking his head. “You’d have to ask Yamate about that, I was only doing what I was told to do when getting him and his sons”, he shrugged, not having much more of an explanation other than that, “It took several months before Yamate was positive it would work. Shu was also having his ehh…’unique form’ tested, but Viral insisted on taking the blows for him. It was a case of not knowing until proper tests were conducted. You know the drill when it comes to scientific experimentation! I’m sure Aito would’ve tested on Viral too when it came to his use as a destructive force…seeing how he obviously built him to be a weapon…”

Viral really hated how he was being talked about so casually when it came to what happened and how everything happened, but it wasn’t as if it was his own fault for being the way he was. He had to compromise somehow and to have the Saiyans willing to be just a little bit gentler with him by saying he’d help might had been desperation speaking at that point. He felt he was unable to speak the truth from his side because of his shame for thinking he could spare himself some pain by helping the Saiyans. He was desperate back then and now that he looked back he could only scorn his cowardice and inability to handle any more experimentation. “…It’s my fault you were taken and experimented on, Yumi. Not his. Krom is as much of a dog as I was, he just didn’t need a collar to hold him back”. Maybe the reason he agreed to collect subjects and DNA was he was desperate for some company, but they couldn’t know that, that was even worse than having to compromise to limit the testing he was going through.

Shu didn’t mind if things were malfunctioning since he was pretty new to all of these things, so having Takeshi fix it all was just a little extra icing on the cake for him. He was excited by the new things Takeshi and the others probably didn’t care much about because they were always around these items. It was a whole new world for him so of course it was going to be exciting. Squeaking happily when it came back on he gasped at the mention of games, looking back at the television quickly. “Ooh! Games? Ball? Ooh! So much excitement to see! Ball isn’t for idiots!” he spoke quickly, giving Takeshi a nod when he asked him about his opinion on the television. He didn’t know why everyone was so nonchalant about it, he thought it was pretty great. “I like music! Fun for ears! Like this too! No sure what it is about, but I like it!”
Link had no idea what he was going to do about this castle or if he was going to have any sort of combat skills if it came down to using them so his only real hope right now was Caelan and his knowledge of castles and buildings leading away and keeping them out of trouble. Caelan going to places where there was treasure and castles had treasure so that surely didn’t matter too much in the long term what difference it might make. Frowning when he called him crazy in return for his own exploits he folded his arms lightly, raising his shoulders. “It’s not like I wanted to be hunted down like an animal. It happened suddenly, I didn’t even provoke them”, he spoke before looking back, “You’re lucky when it comes to magic, you know. Yours is pretty gentle and can heal and all that so I can see why you would want to learn more about it.

Link wasn’t terribly good at making plans, he usually made them up as he went along and if a puzzling situation came his way he was typically going to end up trying to solve it. It would probably had been best if he worked alone for something like this if Regol was going to be afraid of this woman and Caelan was not sounding terribly confident in him or wanting to be around him for that matter. Maybe Caelan could go alone if that was the case, he would be perfectly fine with hanging back if he was just going to be disliked that much. Maybe that was all just assumptions, he wasn’t terribly used to people liking him and he didn’t particularly like his own company. Sighing lightly as he thought about the plan some more he did wonder if he was going to gain the confidence of Caelan at all. He didn’t mean to imply that he could walk into all the traps, just that he might be able to help them if they ever came across any.

Looking over to Regol he frowned when he was given the map, staring down at it and the apparent secret entrance. So they just had to get around the back and into the gardens, shouldn’t be too hard with the direction they were going on. Looking up from the map he gasped at the duplicate, not expecting that to be the first thing he saw when he took his attention off the map before flinching when the sound of a trap going off destroyed it, his eyes slowly retreating behind the map again. Even if that was a duplicate that sounded rather painful, his eyes soon moving to Caelan in hope that he might be able to get rid of such a thing. If he had his shadow abilities he might had been able to hold the spikes back with a shield of some sort while they ran through, but that was his own selfish mistake. “Just how many have been pierced by those…I don’t know if I want to think about it…”
Cecil was in a bit of a panic, his difficulties coming from what he should do, what he felt he was supposed to do and trying to figure out why he was here. He wasn’t going to be useful and he recently found out he’s designed for combat. The amount of combat he’s had to go through recently had already told him he’s a dangerous weapon, but with Ethan not wanting the enemy dead it made it very hard understanding just how hard he could punch and how he could attack as to not end up killing them. He didn’t want to screw up just now and to him the only way to avoid that was to flee the battle while looking busy. He could lose his friends if he killed someone so going down under and seeing what might be down there was probably the best decision.

Not only did moving out of the way proved to be helpful, but the moment he looked back from the doorway to which he now stood near a tumbling noise and one that only spelled trouble for Ethan who had gone down first sounded out. Gasping, he looked back down he spotted Ethan, but also someone on top of him. There definitely wasn’t much telling him he should jump at the pair if trouble was happening, that would probably end badly for Ethan. Staring down at the pair he slowly moved down a few stairs, watching them both carefully before the sound of Nymira calling out distracted him. What was going on out there? Looking out in his direction briefly he gasped at the sight of the men that were bothering him. He recognised them as the same suited fellows who had tried to take him back to the factory. How did they find him here?

They must had tracked him, there was no other way to put it. He didn’t leave any noticeable traces anywhere else and yet here they were. Unable to figure out what the best course of action was he immediately ran down the stairs, hoping he had avoided their sight as he ran past the strange woman and Ethan. He had forgotten the entire notion of helping Ethan, he just wanted to get away from the men and find somewhere to hide before they found him. Ethan could handle himself, he was skilled in combat. His own existence was at risk here, he couldn’t get captured by these men, not now. Looking like a coward he continued his run down through the cabin and to another set of stairs, running down there in his attempt to get as far as possible away from the men. Maybe there was something he could hide in down here, so long as he was far away from those men.
