Viral kept his eyes on Yumi, staring at her as if she was the only thing that mattered to him. She smelled like dinner and was the only one who was moving around and still breathing. To her she was the perfect target, what with her all injured and still wriggling around. As if following along with a shortened attention span he had completely forgotten about the creature that he had been chasing before, either that or he had acknowledged it and was thinking it was now dead. While it was probably dead to him it was Yumi who most definitely wasn’t and was even making noises of pain as the smell of blood still emanated from her. Lunging forward with a quick couple of swipes he snarled when he missed before trying to bite her, instead missing as she instead lightly bounced off him. Standing on the spot for a moment he soon slowly turned around, staring at her as she blabbed on about something that didn’t really hold his attention. Hissing and sniffing in her direction he soon opened his mouth and raised his claws, letting out a vicious snarl before stomping for her again, lunging to try and catch her in his claws just so he could pin her down and hopefully get his meal.

The creature couldn’t meld into the ground in the position it was in so Viral standing on it was just adding to the pain it was already feeling, but it still tried to keep out of Viral’s way as he decided to go on a rampage against Yumi. Hearing Viral go after Yumi and her trying to talk to him it couldn’t help but feel amusement in this situation, trying to push itself up a little it hissed when she called it a monster without actually thinking about the idea of using the insult to anger it. ”I am not the monster here! He-!” Viral had stepped on it again when he spun around, the energy coming from him being a big factor in the pain and inability to meld with the ground. It didn’t know what was up with Viral and this form, but the fact that he was able to grab it and even use his weight to injure it was causing it to worry that its existence may be coming to an end.
The creature needed to get back to its many feet after being tossed like that, treated like it was just pure scum. Feeling quite angry at Viral for finding its hiding place it seemed that would have to wait as Yumi came running at it now that its location had been revealed. Hissing in anger as she closed in it raised a wall to guard itself only for her to move around it and slam a kick into its back, sending it back to the ground with a hard thump. It was way too vulnerable now that it was out of its hiding place and what was worse was it probably wouldn’t be able to recover from this. As the flames on its head flickered briefly it soon noticed how close Viral was getting to the pair, its eyes on him only briefly before it lowered its head again. The kick had certainly worked to disorientate it but with the threat of Viral looming over it was a case of either dying to him or pretending to be dead and hoping it didn’t meet that fate too.

Viral had since climbed out of the tunnel he had created and was soon wandering towards Yumi and the creature, paying no heed to the attacks the creature had been conducting and Yumi’s retaliation. There was no reason for him to be intimidated by those movements, he was the one who was in control here and remaining in control was how he was going to stay. Hissing through his teeth he stared at Yumi, not taking notice of the creature that was now back on the ground. She was the one who bled, the one with the strongest scent and even though he held a grudge against the creature it wasn’t moving anymore. Soon snarling at her he made a heavy lunge at her, swiping his claws at her before throwing himself forward to bite at her, his foot standing on the creature’s back to get to her.
Cecil didn’t know what else to do, even if his main quest was to run away at first. He didn’t want to be destroyed and most certainly not by whatever was coming after him. In a panicky burst of energy he immediately ran right back to the camp, barely looking back as the sounds of the creatures could be heard clearly through the trees from directly behind him. Cecil knew he was fast, but he couldn’t seem to outrun whatever these things were. As the pistons in his legs continued to work overtime to get over the rough terrain he continued to try and balance himself out by flailing his heavy arms, looking back momentarily to see where they were while failing to realise what direction he was actually going in as he relied more on his other senses, not actually seeing where he was going when he ended up colliding into a large body.

Tumbling down to the ground with a hard thump Cecil wrestled with the body momentarily before seeing who it was, staring down at Ethan for a moment before he climbed off him properly. Gasping incomprehensibly at Ethan he pointed back towards the creatures he ran away with Ethan, feeling lost and unable to think about what he could possibly do otherwise. He didn’t know what these creatures were and had made it his responsibility to not fight again, so there was no doing that either. Looking back briefly at the creatures he gasped when they made it back to camp only to stumble and fall to the ground. “Help! Help please!”

He couldn’t fight these things, even if he wanted to. He didn’t know what he would be fighting and they were completely different from those blob things from before. Their maws looked like they would melt him very quickly, their claws would probably tear through his shell with ease. Even if he wanted to fight he couldn’t, he might revert back and hurt those he was originally trying to leave because of the possibility that he might end up doing just that. Looking to Ethan and Nymira as they stepped up to defend the camp he let out a groan and held his head, remaining seated as he contemplated his actions. He shouldn’t had brought the problem to all of them like this, all he had done was endangered them when he didn’t want to before.

“I-I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to-I didn’t-I just-…please don’t be mad at me!” he stuttered, panicking pretty badly as if he had just ruined everything. If they were going to be okay then maybe he could still sneak away from them, he would just have to make sure they are going to be okay before he tried running away behind their backs. Maybe even once they were on the road again he could sneak off the cart while they were all occupied, that’d mean he would know they are alright once they are on the road again.
Viral’s movements were slow but he wasn’t any less menacing. The vulnerability of Yumi right now was just the draw he needed to see her as a vulnerable creature waiting for him to tear her apart. Snarling as he opened his toothy maw he raised his claws, his heavy tail swishing from side to side he near lunched forward at her until out from all sides the creature tried to pierce Viral’s body. Driving spikes into his body it tried to pull him down, barely getting him moving before Viral had enough and immediately took a dive. He managed to drive himself straight into the ground and break through as if it was fluid, the tentacles from the creature inadvertently being dragged down with him if only for a moment when the impact of it slamming into the ground caused it to break up. It was obvious where Viral was heading as he travelled underground, his dorsal fin and the tip of his tail broke through the ground as if he was swimming in the sea before he took a dive again and disappeared.

The creature thought for sure it had him with that attack, but Viral didn’t even make a noise despite obviously piercing through him. Frustrated with the Beastman’s sudden change in appearance and attitude it chased after him underground, but the tremors Viral was leaving behind was causing a fairly great deal of disruption in its ability to follow. It knew it had to get rid of them both as quickly as possible, but Viral was proving difficult to kill. In frustration it rose back to the surface, turning its sights onto Yumi immediately. ”I’ll kill you first then! Filthy lifefor-!” Viral had burst to the surface again just a few metres from Yumi as he seemingly managed to grab part of the creature in his mouth, dragging it up to the surface before tossing the goop to the side. It wasn’t just ordinary goop from the creature he had managed to grab but rather the creature itself, managing to find where it had been hiding under the surface before snatching it when he had the chance. Viral’s wounds healed up pretty quickly, it didn’t even look like he had even bled. The creature hadn’t been killed by that attack either and was getting up after that after being stunned by Viral’s sudden ambush, not sounding at all happy after that. "How did you do that...?!"
By the time Viral was even becoming conscious of what was happening his mind was slipping away into a primitive state, a sudden gasp causing him to breathe in water. He soon felt like he was choking, his inability to think straight only having him grasp at the water close to his throat until he started to advance beyond panic. His panic quickly turned into primitive anger and desires as his body continued to change, even his hair was growing long and discoloured like a madman’s. As a powerful tail began to form and his skin discoloured and became leather-like there was only a moment between writhing movements before he suddenly dashed at a great speed through the water into the lakebed leading to the shore, only this time he disappeared in a great cloud of dust and dirt leaving only a tunnel in his wake as water drained inside.

The creature knew it had the advantage and on account of Yumi throwing herself around like she was it was only a matter of time before she would run out of energy and give up. She may be able to hit it when it was solid and throw it off, but when it came to actually causing harm she was not accomplishing anything. Her screaming had been annoying when it happened, being paralysed like that didn’t help it one bit in its quest to poison the system and prevent the advancement of cleansing the water. Finally managing to pierce her pretty well it continued to play around as she continued to get more reckless, eventually ending with her trying to charge it’s mass. What a futile attempt, but it wasn’t done with her yet.

With each movement it made it crept closer to Aito’s place, moving across the beach area until Yumi stunned it again with that howling of hers. Getting annoyed at this constant throwing off she was doing it was starting to consider throwing her around in turn but with these throws most likely going to end up with her eating dirt instead. When she once again propelled herself towards it it hissed, going into a semi-solid state before grabbing at her as she came in contact with it. ”Little pest!! I’ve had enough of you! I’ve studied you long enough to see what you can do and I have come to a conclusion…” it spoke, hardening itself some more, ”You are nothing of value! Not even worth anything in materials or for study! Just another worthless energy user! I’ll crush you slowly so you can feel every bone break and-what??”

Very suddenly there was an earthquake, or rather one in the immediate vicinity that it was in. The moment the earthquake started the stronger it got, but as the shaking caused the creature to lessen its grip on Yumi as well as its own form. Suddenly shaking and splattering a sudden whirlwind of dirt kicked up before suddenly there was what looked like an explosion centred around the creature. Splattering all over the place before angrily sinking into the ground whatever had caused it fell out of the dirt funnel, slamming into the ground on all fours with a heavy thump. Slowly turning around a large tail scraped up the stones and sand, the form slowly pushing off their hands as it grew larger. With a hiss rivalling the creature’s hisses the figure turned around as the trailing dust lifted revealing a transforming Viral, his form changing into one akin to a shark-like monster. Tearing away the last of his clothes except for his scarf his large toothy mouth opened to snarl, instead out poured part of the creature he appeared to had bit into without any fear of poisoning. As his form continued to grow most of what resembled Viral ceased to if only a few aspects like his hair style, irises, teeth and scars remaining, his mouth a permanent toothy grin. Towering at well over ten feet as his transformation came to a stop he wandered heavily towards the spot the creature was reforming at, his eyes momentarily going to Yumi as if she interested what could only be described as a hungry desire to eat her.

Viral had landed pretty hard in the water, sinking like a rock from the impact and left floating just on the lake bed. The impact had caused him to lose consciousness as he slowly floated just above the rocks and sand as his body weighed heavily on his front. If he hadn’t been at near full power on impact he would had been at near death. He couldn’t do anything to slow himself down and hitting the water at such a height and speed that it practically shattered him. Floating in the stillness of the water as his blood seeped from his mouth and nose into the flow he was left in the sound of underwater silence as the battle continued such a great distance from him. Despite being forced out of the battle his body still tried to bring him out of it, his instincts trying to control him. He was part shark, the water was still his natural environment and yet here he was barely able to function after a great fall. The poison that had made it into his body debilitated him, making him feel even worse for wear and harming his senses greatly. As his body floated gently in the water and despite his unconscious state his subconscious was burning with the desire to survive and kill that creature for toying with him in his own environment.

The creature didn’t know what was up with this girl but she was really starting to disrupt everything. There was an increasing need to get rid of her, especially with the Saiyan now loose. He had destroyed his bonds and was just going to try and continue his work on the pipes. Even if the Saiyan did manage to filter the water it didn’t matter, there was always the option of destroying the dam and wipe out their water source completely. Those despicable creatures were going to suffer whatever way once these creatures had been dealt with. Trying to pierce Yumi with multiple spikes it hissed angrily as she continued to dodge them, throwing them at a much more rapid pace before getting ready to throw them all at once; however, when she howled again it stopped and dropped as liquid when she pounced at it. Getting to the point of pretty angry it hissed as it formed a limb partially before throwing it at her, trying to come out of the stunning effect. ”I am not a pushover! You think bouncing around will help you??”

Viral had very little possibility of snapping out of it himself, his mind struggling to come out of the state that it was in. He may not had been beyond repair but all these environmental problems was starting to affect him greatly. His own energy was going mad with the desire to get out of the water, he needed to kill the source of the pollution but he was injured and mentally impaired. As his subconscious struggled with his natural instincts something snapped inside and his energy levels suddenly shot up, his drive to survive and destroy peaking. As he continued to float at the bottom of the lake he suddenly started twitching before slowly pulling his fists and knees to his chest, his energy shooting out in electric sparks through the water before his eyes opened wide. The whites of his eyes turned a deep red as they widened into an angry yet pained glare, his paws reaching up to his face as he gargled underwater, trying to breathe it in as he struggled to cope with the onset of an unfamiliar transformation. This wasn’t like his ultimate form or feline form, but the other side of him awakening as a large dorsal fin sprouted from his back as he grew larger and fins began sprouting from his arms.

The creature in the meantime was fed up with Yumi spoiling its task with her aggressive nature, instead only wanting to complete the task and move on. Trying to lash out at her it began to move in pieces as it was drawn towards Aito again, seeming to try and throw off Yumi by moving more erratically than normal. If she was to follow it there would be spikes once again as it made a stop, knowing she would probably try and get ahead of it before it could get to Aito. She didn’t seem as smart as she was before, all she was doing now was acting like that energy-less creature that continued to punch it around.
