Takeshi really was terrible at hunting and it was really beginning to show with how impatient he was. This was probably why he’d been asked to help with the hunting; because Takeshi was a useless idiot in foreign environments. Rolling his eyes he let out a sigh, looking away off into the forest again. There was definitely something out there and he just had to find out exactly where. Keeping his paw near his weapon’s hilt he growled lowly when Takeshi was foolish enough to kick a stone off into the distance, his attention taken to where it hit immediately. That was where it was, the thing that had been quietly stalking the area as they moved. “Good…you found the cause…”

Trying to get a good idea of what it was from what he could hear he readied himself for the attack, only finding he briefly cared for what it was when it showed itself. That was quite a large creature, but now they had a fight on their hands instead of a simple hunt; however, it shouldn’t take long for them to take it down and see if it’s worth taking back for everyone. Looking to Takeshi when he decided to step forward only to run back again at its sudden appearance he shifted his feet, watching the strange bug-like predator carefully. Gripping his tilt when it showed off its teeth he growled lowly, watching as it turned its sights onto him before rising up and immediately lunging straight for him. Without the reach to decapitate it compared to dealing with its claws he had to abandon the idea of attacking and instead be forced to grab its claws, managing to snatch them in both hands but the force had him sent to the ground. The creature was just one large muscle of a beast with plenty of power behind it and he wasn’t in the position right now to properly defend against that. Growling as he essentially wrestled with it he looked to see where his back up was, wondering why Takeshi had even come along if he wasn’t prepared to immediately fight. “Takeshi would you move your lazy ass and at least hit this thing??”

Shu knew he had a reason to be nervous and with the arrival of the creature he could feel himself tense up and be ready to defend himself. He had only seen these things as much smaller creatures, ones that wriggled around and tried to bite you if you picked one up. They were often pretty tasty with a taste familiar to some things that the others eat, but it was certainly going to be only a secondary thought as survival was what was happening now. Looking quickly to Takeshi once he had backed off again he slowly moved backwards when it showed interest in attacking them, letting out a squeak when it finally lunged at someone. It was going after Viral first and with a thud Viral was down, trying to defend himself and gain the advantage back. Hesitating at first as if expecting Takeshi to follow him in he gasped when Viral was instead shouting at Takeshi who was not moving. Deciding he couldn’t wait any longer he immediately started running around the predator, watching where its head was before suddenly jumping for the base of its head. Grabbing onto the hair just at the base of its head he immediately pulled back, trying to force the creature off Viral. He was grabbing it where he would had grabbed a centipede back on Earth, only this time his whole body was being used like his fingers would had been. “Wrestle me! Wrestle me!”
Shu frowned as he stared at Takeshi, wondering if he was actually going to agree with the idea of keeping quiet and how long he might try to keep quiet. Sighing lightly he looked away, scratching his stomach. “Sometimes go hungry…but have to sometimes. Hopefully we find something soon…” As they continued on their way Shu was progressively getting tenser, the shift in light to darkness really putting him off. He didn’t like the dark and to make matters worse he could see the moonlight from behind him and even if it was probably safe it still made him increasingly nervous. If it wasn’t safe then surely he would never have been taken to this planet in the first place, but being too scared to look at the moon to check to see if he was right he was left staring down most of the time. Gasping when Takeshi nearly fell over he stared at him with a frown before slowly looking away. “No know…it no important, anyway…” If there was nothing out here it wasn’t their problem, they didn’t know this planet very well. Keeping his gaze low as he walked close to his brother he only sometimes looked behind him, worrying over what might be lurking in the dark.

Viral was keeping his focus on finding food so was keeping his focus on everything that wasn’t Takeshi. The lack of prey animals in the area told him there was a predator nearby and looking at Shu’s reaction to just being out in the dark he knew the kid could feel it too. There was something out there watching them and had been doing so for quite a while, likely scaring off everything else. If they could lure out the predator they would be able to find prey again. Slowly gazing around he analysed his surroundings as he continued to move, checking out every slight movement that was made. Continuing on his way he slowly reached around for his weapon, only stopping when Takeshi decided on moaning again. “It’s not empty, it’s been evacuated…” he growled lowly, annoyed by Takeshi’s huffs and grumbles, “You’re the only one not seeing anything wrong with what’s going on here…”
Cecil was hoping maybe Nymira might know a thing or two about his inner workings and maybe even give him some relief from a few problems he had to maintain himself. He didn’t know how much Nymira knew but he was taking a chance and hoping for the best that she might just know how to fix what would go wrong with him. Looking to Geoffrey first when he briefly interjected he gave him a confused stare, unable to understand what an aunt was still or why he thought he needed rest. He didn’t need to rest ever, he was incapable of it so he didn’t know how he could constantly look like he needed rest. “I-uhhh…the blacksmithie…” he spoke lowly, trying to think about his words a little more before he looked off to Ethan, seeing that he was now heading off.

Hopefully the two groups would be able to find each other soon enough, he certainly didn’t want to have to wait around too long just in case those men really were out there somewhere. This new level of caution he was having to undertake everywhere was really getting to him and making him feel very strange inside like peace was just around the corner but kept dashing out of his reach every time he tried to get to it. He was feeling worried all the time if not for himself but the people around him. He couldn’t worry about himself, he was just a machine designed to kill and nobody could deny that.

Looking to Nymira at the mention of his request his face only lit up for a second before that disappeared as she told him she couldn’t help with those things. “Oh…that’s okay then. My shell is fine…” It wasn’t her fault so he wasn’t going to get upset over something that was never really there in the first place, it was just a means for him to wait and see if they ever see Norman again. He didn’t know what would happen if he was brought to an outsider, they might see him destroyed or hand him over to those men. So he would just be there to help carry the stuff, that was no problem. At least he would be helping with something rather than viciously destroy it. Looking between Geoffrey and Nymira he sighed lightly, feeling a little lost as he followed behind.

Cecil was fine quietly walking along with Geoffrey and Nymira, feeling a little disconnected to what they were talking about. It was very technical stuff, stuff that he wasn’t really familiar with. Their weapons wasn’t something he was very familiar with even if he was a weapon made by other organics anyway. Looking up to Nymira at the mention of his name he gave a simple nod before looking away again. There was probably not much she could help him with just now, artificial damage to his outer ‘skin’ wasn’t really felt by him. He would just have to keep to himself for this one and hope he wouldn’t screw anything up like last time and actually end up having to get shell repairs.
Viral could argue with Takeshi all day about how dumb he was for acting like a loud idiot in the forest, but telling him how dumb he was would only make him further believe he was doing nothing wrong anyway. The only animals they would attract were ones who were territorial and fierce, not the kind of animals they were hoping to catch. “Oh yeah, near a forest with all the deer you can catch! Even a pet can hunt a deer…” he spoke lowly, letting out an annoyed growl, “If your plan is to attract predators because you want to fight them, howabout you stop to think about the safety of others just on the off chance that the predators here could be poisonous or carry diseases we’re not prepared to handle…” Not to mention predators often evolved to have very little flesh to eat, even he was very much skin and bones. Takeshi really didn’t bother to think of all the different factors that could put them at risk, something that didn’t come with hunting prey animals.

Shu did wonder if it was going to be possible to find anything after all that noise, knowing everything would scatter when it first sounded out. He had spent a long enough time in the wilderness to understand what others were scared of so what Viral was saying was hardly anything to protest over. He was right and getting bitten by another animal was quite dangerous. Looking to Takeshi when he protested his position he frowned, his eyes going back to surveying his surroundings as he felt pretty uneased. He wasn’t much of a hunter himself, he was often about survival and would act upon that only so the possibility of predators being near made him worried even if he was strong himself. “Still no want to get attacked! Want to do the attacking, not get attacked”, he spoke quickly, shaking his fists in front of him, “Big tasty animals could be sleeping, but now maybe woke up because noise and running away now. We can still catch something and not be caught instead? Got to be very careful…very quiet and sneaky…”
“You think making loud destructive noises will attract a target? An animal is going to think noise means danger no matter what planet they’re from! It’s going to be hard to hunt no matter the environment you’re in if you’re not familiar with it in the first place!” Takeshi was really going to get on his nerves during this run and there was nothing he was going to be able to do about it unless he was allowed to punch him. It annoyed him that he had to be ‘civil’ unless he wanted to be called crazed or savage as he beat Takeshi up for being so dumb. If they were going to attract anything with that noise it would be an angry and aggressive ground creature that would definitely be too large to take back. They were looking for creatures they could carry back, not something that would probably destroy the area around them. Stopping when Takeshi turned to face him he growled when he pointed his finger at him, walking around him as he continued on. “A forest isn’t foreign to me. I’m sure it looks different from whatever hole you crawled out of…”

Shu didn’t like it when everyone was fighting, but then again Takeshi and Viral always seemed to bicker and annoy each other. He didn’t understand why they acted that way, it was always over trivial stuff too. Staring at Takeshi as he wandered to the back of the group instead he gasped when Takeshi continued to express his frustration on the trees. Frowning, he slowly looked away, his eyes slowly glancing back. “…I know I would run at loud noise…” he mumbled, pressing his fingers together before he looked back to Takeshi. He didn’t know if wandering around for food was ‘a breeze’, they had to provide for their group which was a big responsibility. If they didn’t come back with anything then everybody would go hungry. Disliking the darkness of the forest he continued to look around, trying to keep his eyes open for anything that might decide to attack them. “Ooohhh…I no know about easy…I-I mean, we no even know what there be in the forest. There could be evil here…and then we get ambushed and come back all bleeding and everybody be mad! It no easy finding food for everyone!”
Viral was not too happy with having to go hunting with Takeshi, he was very rarely happy with doing anything with this idiot. If it wasn’t for Vegeta telling him he should go he probably would had never offered to go hunting and would had just rested in a tree until the others arrived with food, but he wasn’t allowed to relax for once, it seemed. It wasn’t something he was particularly caring about when the others could just blast the creature and kill it that way, especially with Takeshi. All he was doing was tracking it at this point to give Takeshi a target to shoot at, it wasn’t as if Takeshi would let someone else take over hunting while he’s around. If he had to he was going to give Takeshi a hard time, something he was immediately needing to do when Takeshi proceeded to make a lot of noise and think that would attract the animals they were supposed to be sneaking up on.

“Stop being an idiot! Probably the reason we haven’t found anything is because you are loud and scaring everything off!” he growled lowly, practically speaking through his teeth before he let out an angry sigh, looking away in annoyance, “Why did I have to go with you…I should had left you to figure out that you’re absolutely crap at hunting. Birds and small animals hardly count when even a house cat can hunt those…” This was truly aggravating, the least Vegeta could had done was tell him how to hunt instead of having him play teacher all the time. He wasn’t a good teacher, he was too impatient for things like this as utter disregard for what might actually be effective. The only one here that was behaving was Shu who was following along quietly with his eyes watching their backs. “If you think banging trees and throwing tantrums is going to draw out animals to make you shut up, you’ve got a harsh lesson on survival ahead of you…”
Shu didn’t much care for the grass or what was below his feet when he could see it clearly, plus he had walked through much more that Takeshi would consider disgusting. He made sure not to step on what he recognised to be bad, but that didn’t stop him from walking through swamps, thick mud and mossy terrain. Takeshi would hate to live the lifestyle he had for many years, but even if Takeshi tried to live like he did he probably wouldn’t survive very long. He ate a lot of insects to survive while the other half of his diet was fruit, sometimes the odd animal if one attacked and they ended up killing it. Takeshi would barely be able to survive at all if he had to live his old lifestyle so Takeshi should be thankful for that. “Ooh! If grass was poison, we would all be dead!” Getting nudged by Takeshi he squeaked and looked up at him, giving him a good long staring at before he pushed at him right back. “Could be danger! Must be careful if we do! Need to know that all the things be safe before having happy swing time!” he spoke quickly, bouncing forward, “If others nearby, then maybe! Hopefully no go too far or maybe find trouble. Planet may have many bad things we no see yet!”

Viral couldn’t figure any of it out even if he tried, there was just too many variables and too many ways this all could go wrong if they made one wrong move. They had to make it back, he would never forgive himself if they didn’t. Growling lowly in frustration he quickly looked back to Yumi when she could simply ‘hope for the best’ regarding the situation. There was a lot to consider and most of it had no answers much to his annoyance, but it certainly couldn’t be helped all that much either when there simply wasn’t enough to research. “This universe isn’t the only universe out there, you know. This isn’t the only world or the only existing realm. You should know that when the Otherworld exists”. The main concern right now was definitely succeeding and whether everything would go according to plan, he couldn’t afford to have any holes or mistakes made. “We’ll be getting through this forest soon and still no sign of anything. If we don’t find something soon everybody’s going to go hungry by the time we end up finally finding them…”

T’charrl frowned, disliking the idea that he might ultimately end up diverting their entire quest and causing it to end in a disaster if the threat really was in the desert. It was too risky to not have this go on ahead without a hiccup like this, especially when he was asked to come along. It was probably because he could use his weapons to tear the beasts apart which would be handy for them too, so him bailing would only lead to disappointment. He might be okay, he might just end up overheating a bit and damaging his skin, but brief rests could possibly help out with that. “If we fly really fast, then maybe when it’s cooler…I-I’ll just have to watch out for the wind and sand”, he spoke quickly, staring out at the wasteland of a desert. “I just worry if we wait too long those creatures will get what they want done before we get there and even then nobody knows what will happen. Will the planet explode, or something? This is rather terrifying…”
Cecil gasped lightly when Zander gave him the good morning, raising his shoulders as he nodded and looked away. He didn’t know how to approach him still, especially when he wasn’t as familiar with him as he thought he might be after the brief time they had spent together. The guy didn’t interact with him like Ethan or Nymira did so it was a little harder to judge him or tell whether he actually liked him. He didn’t really know if Zander understood what he was or whether he openly objected to his existence, especially considering how he was dressed. He didn’t look like the kind of guy who liked Machina at all, like those people over back at the village that attacked him. He would try and keep it open for the most part, but he couldn’t change how someone thought about him even if he tried.

Looking down at the ground for a moment he thought through the plans they had, staring at his feet as he contemplated the significance of an aunt and what they did. He didn’t know what that was, but it must had been unique if somebody could be associated with it. Looking back up he stared at Ethan, trying to understand why he sounded confused by it before Amuné decided to chime in. Staring at her for a moment he frowned and looked back to Ethan, wondering how consuming too much could affect an organic being. He didn’t know what would happen if he used too much oil or something, but he did hope it wouldn’t end up with some sort of affliction if he did.

Snapping out of his little thought train he immediately looked to Nymira when she offered taking him to the blacksmith and not this aunt’s house. A blacksmith sounded pretty interesting and clearer than whatever an aunt’s house was, so probably for the best. Staring at her as she gave instructions on where everyone was going he soon looked away again, hearing Ethan talking about medicine too. Seems they were going to get all sorts of strange objects on this outing, many that he didn’t understand the meaning of but felt was probably important to them. Opening his mouth to ask what medicine would be used for Nymira quickly interrupted him, staring at her as she spoke. He didn’t know that about her, he didn’t even know what she could do and what her limits were. Looking around quickly he stepped closer to her, talking quietly as if not to clue anyone listening into anything. “I…could use checks on my hydraulics”, he spoke, flexing his fingers, “Is there any way to check my battery power too? I’m pretty worried about it…”
T’charrl sighed heavily, shaking his head. He didn’t know why Haku was making lame excuses. If he didn’t want to keep him company then he just had to say and he could go back down with the others. He didn’t want people to constantly have to make excuses up to not be with him, he was fine with not having company if they didn’t want to keep him company. Keeping his arms and legs dangling he stared down at the ground, watching over it as he tried to find any if there was some out there somewhere. He was sure he wasn’t going to find anything in the forest even if he tried to find something, just spotting all the animals that were down there instead. He was particularly nervous about continuing on and didn’t know if the others remembered, hoping instead it really was not that big and a quick pass. “Colder? That won’t be good either. I can’t cross then…” he sighed, looking off to the side and along the trees, “I can only go in the ship but it would be risky to bring the ship in case we get ambushed, so I guess I’ll just have to try…”

Shu was just going to have to prove to Takeshi that he was good at fighting, that he was fully capable of defending himself. He was strong and Takeshi just needed to understand that, even if he wasn’t the only one who probably thought that way. He was sure the others thought of him as pretty weak too, but that wasn’t his fault. He tried to show he was strong but he scared himself with his ability to change and go completely nuts. Getting a little frustrated with his inability to prove himself to Takeshi he stomped around a little as Takeshi tested having no shoes, tilting his head when he tried to understand how he didn’t stand on anything gross himself. “Look where I go! Can see where I go, no get anything on me. It not hard!” he spoke quickly, bouncing forward a few steps. “Do you no watch where you step? That silly! Why be silly when can be smart? Shu smarter than you think! Always watch where go or step on poison and sharpness!”

Viral didn’t want anything to happen while they were on the other side, especially getting stuck in another reality. He had been through a lot but getting stuck in a world not familiar to him would be the worst possible outcome. He would try his best to find a way out and back to reality, especially when there was people who were counting on him to lead them. Looking to Yumi again he soon narrowed his eyes and looked away, shaking his head. “There will be if they can open one in the first place…” he grumbled, seeing that as a pretty logical method to find their way back. Looking away he started muttering, scratching his cheek. “Just how do they do it though and where what kind of reality exists…where would there be more. Hmph…there would have to be creatures that make those portals. If it’s another planet through there…it would be problematic if they left that planet…but then what are they doing through there? Why are they appearing here through a simple portal? Or is it a singular portal or a rift…but then what’s on the other side…”
T’charrl didn’t get it, he didn’t know if he was the one who was the problem and if Haku really didn’t want to be up here with him, feeling like he might had just forced him up. He didn’t want Haku to think like that, he just wanted some company that could maybe talk to him about stuff instead of leaving him on his lonesome. Maybe Haku didn’t mean it like that, but it sure did feel like he didn’t want to be up there and was just going because he had accidentally dragged him into something he didn’t want to take part in. Frowning as he looked away he surveyed the trees, trying to at least do his job and not disappoint everyone else by being unable to do a simple job. Wondering if Haku even liked him he rubbed his claws together, feeling rather insecure before he slowly looked to Haku, smiling a little at his response. “Really? Oh…that’s good. I don’t even know if I’ll be any good at this because I barely know the creatures, so it would be nice to have some help…” he spoke, staring down at the trail of trees below, “I won’t be very good in a desert, anyway, so I might as well make myself useful here…right? I really don’t know how I’ll do in the desert…”

Shu huffed, bouncing in frustration at what Takeshi was saying. He really was just making him sound like he was a weakling who constantly needed help, but that was the complete opposite of what he was. He was scared sometimes, sure, but he was still capable of fighting and being strong when everything came down to it. “Ooh! Not afraid of the thing! Other reasons to be! No need this time I is having hope!” he spoke quickly before letting out a huff, “I natural fighter! You watch me fight and win and be good at it”. It frustrated Shu that he was seen as helpless when he knew he wasn’t, he just had his fears like anyone in his position. It wasn’t fair for Takeshi to see him like this, like he was incapable of defending himself. Sliding his feet through the grass in frustration he soon bounced forward, giving Takeshi a look when he decided to take off his shoes. “You no do it as much as me so it would be strange to you!” he squeaked, tilting his head a little when he decided to go straight for a mud puddle to test it, “…Shoes feel weird for Shu…”

Viral didn’t know where these beasts were but if he was going to be played in charge he was going to try his best to find where they were and hopefully accomplish his mission. He didn’t have the greatest of confidence in his seeking skills when it came to these creatures, especially when they could ‘melt’ and move around that way. It was going to be difficult trying to find them, but there is also going to be the problem now regarding how they would handle them if they became too exhausted. Thinking through all the risks and problems they might run into he barely noticed Yumi talking to him, giving her a side glance before looking back to his path. That was certainly a concern of his and he couldn’t blame Yumi for asking him that, especially when it was another risk that had to be considered. “I will try everything to prevent that from happening, but if it does happen I will try everything within my power to get us back”, he spoke, shaking his head, “There’s so much that could go wrong, but if it’s something I can prevent or fix I will try everything to fix it. I’m supposed to be in charge of the group, so I’m going to keep everyone safe”.
