@KalamadeaNot wanting to post or will I just go ahead? o: Just to get your character set up again in the secret area like you never left
Kai was pretty glad that driving the shuttle was something he definitely didn’t need to do now, or hopefully at all for a while when given that much stress to be quick and drive fast. If he was going to learn driving in the future he’d rather it just be for general use and not for emergencies or warzones, he didn’t need that in his life. Having Leto decide to take over driving was probably for the best so long as he didn’t jolt the vehicle around and cause a lot of discovered and possibly the death of Viral in the process, that would just make the whole thing pointless. Everybody was needing seen to, but Viral definitely more than anyone else. For now he was going to have to help out his brother and the others with getting Viral into the back without jolting him too much, definitely a fair big task to undertake if he was to survive. It didn’t matter if he got covered in blood doing it, he was already bloodied and bruised after the last battle.

As the twins moved over to Viral they both moved in sync to get Viral hoisted off the ground safely and with as limited jolting as possible. Despite everyone helping they both felt pretty weak, having used up most of their energy fighting. It was a bad time for everyone and hopefully the hospital hadn’t actually been blown up in the fighting. Viral went a little nuts at the end and blew up a fair bit, so hopefully he hadn’t actually ended up blowing up his only salvation too. Once he was in the vehicle the twins both moved over to their own seats, Choi feeling more relieved than Kai for finding the time to relax. Choi wasn’t very good at handling stress and the possibility of death, it just wasn’t a very nice thing to experience and he was going to be stressing out about it for the rest of the day until everybody was stable once more. He especially didn’t like it when someone like Yumi was clearly upset, but there wasn’t much he could do about that either.

Viral really didn’t like the whole moving process, especially when it made it even worse to try and stay awake. He had already lost a fair volume of blood so feeling dizzy along with the pain and exhaustion was not a good combination. Everything was just a swirl in his eyes and he could no longer really see, just the sounds of others around him that sometimes faded briefly. Feeling the solid surface of the vehicle again he felt some relief, but not a lot as everything just continued to remain bad. He was trying to hang on but he didn’t know how much longer he could keep it up and remain awake. Hearing Yumi only slightly as she decided being quiet was better for him he grunted, moving his head slightly. “If…I died…Aito would kill me…” he spoke slowly, sounding like he was losing it somewhat, “It was…my…mission…”
@shylarahIf you want you can go ahead and make a post o/
Kensen didn’t actually care that much about the guy but him mentioning Cedric was concerning. Just what was that guy trying to do, anyway? Training random Magi like that, it bothered him greatly. Did they need more Magi? And if so then why not tell this guy he was from their group? As he sat there calmly and minding his own business he sipped his tea looking completely uninterested in Ethan’s answers, sighing lightly. This was going to be awkward and he wasn’t going to want to be a part of it, so keeping to himself was pretty essential for him to not blow up in front of everyone. He wasn’t very patient when it came to other people, they just annoyed him quite too much. Looking to Taliya when she bluntly revealed his death he turned slightly on the box, continuing with his tea and not giving a care about Ethan’s reaction.

Better Taliya giving him the news than himself, seeing how she was best for giving out such news without getting all stupidly sympathetic. Feeling pretty annoyed already as Ethan started to get all upset he let out a sigh and continued minding his own business. If the kid had no relation to Cedric other than Cedric teaching him some magic then he didn’t know Cedric at all. It was a little frustrating, like someone crying over a celebrity which Cedric essentially was in that place he was in if he really was somewhat popular. What an annoyance this was turning out to be, the kid was 18 and was bugging Taliya enough for her to lash out. Ethan was only a little bit younger and couldn’t handle the death of another Magi; he really was living in a tiny bubble if that was surprising.

Feeling rather annoyed at the guy not letting up on crying for Cedric he closed his tea flask and put it aside, scoffing. “Tch, you’re all crying over him but you barely knew him. Yeah sure, he was friendly to you and taught you a few tricks but did you seriously know him other than his name? If he didn’t even mention us by name at the very least to you or who he actually was, then you didn’t know him at all”, he spoke quickly, folding his arms, “Just really? What was he, a father figure who never told you his secrets? About us? About Mutebo? He was nice to you and told you nothing, just typical of Cedric. He might as well had been a celebrity that you were swooning over compared to a true father figure. Can we just move on to more important subjects? Your blubbering is really getting on my nerves and your disrespect to Taliya is annoying me”.
Kai figured there might be a vehicle somewhere in the city, it would be pretty bad to go out and try to find one. If you were a soldier and you needed to get into the city quickly, you wouldn’t fly in without some armour like a vehicle. High class soldiers were normally durable enough to withstand an explosion or fast enough to escape one so there was no problem regarding whether they were just going to get blown out of the sky; although, when it came down to it he sure did hope that he wasn’t only going to come across vehicles that had met that kind of fate. It was a dire state of emergency he was in and absolutely had to find a vehicle that was still functioning. There was a lot of vehicles around, but a lot of them were either partially destroyed or too small for what they needed it for. There had to be some sort of military vehicle still out there that he could take, at least one that was big enough and still functioning.

Just when he thought he was out of luck and ultimately going to fail he soon spotted a small military carrier sticking out of some rubble that didn’t look completely destroyed. It appeared to had been abandoned because it got stuck and they didn’t want to spend too much time trying to get it out, or at least that’s what he hoped. Flying down quickly he started clearing the rubble by blasting it apart, not much caring for his Ki levels at this point as he tried to clear the front. Blasting away much of the large pieces of rubble he quickly jump into the still open hatch at the back, rushing to the front before jumping into the driver’s seat.

Kai had never actually driven anything before. He had always either been a passenger or travelling in a pod which was always on autopilot. He knew how the buttons worked, he had watched it before, but now he had to figure out how to get it started. Looking around desperately for what might bring it to life he found what was a pretty basic key sticking in the ignition. Almost thinking that they would have something more like a button to get things going he turned the keys, holding them in place before gasping as the vehicle came to life. Well that was lucky, even though it was slow to start it still functioned fine. Feeling a little nervous he looked around at the controls before settling to try and turn it out of the dusty rubble, managing to get it moving slightly before it started to turn while rising into the air. Well that was done, now he had to get out of there without crashing the vehicle and take it back to the others.

Viral in the meantime was feeling really rough with things not getting better the longer he was here for. He didn’t know how much longer he could stay awake for as his lack of non-blurry vision was making it hard to see anything that might indicate that he was still conscious. Hearing Leto speak of him just made him angry too, as if he was needing to survive just because he wouldn’t be called a ‘true man’ otherwise. Such words were certainly one way to make him angry, but it wasn’t as if he had the energy or ability to tell him otherwise. Feeling that it was growing difficult to keep active with every passing second he was soon alerted to the sounds of someone else talking nearby, only thing he didn’t know who it was but assumed it was some sort of doctor. He wondered what the man could even do to help him, it’s not like he could be dealt with here immediately in the dust and from the sounds of it he had no vehicle. Slowly raising his head he grit his teeth through the struggle, trying to look to see who the man was through the blur that was probably blood in his eyes. He didn’t know much other that they needed a vehicle to receive any treatment, but who knew when that would be found since one of the twins went off to find one.

Luckily enough, it wasn’t long until the sound of an energised vehicle could be heard with a rather nervous Kai trying to drive it. Kai was barely old enough to drive legally, nevermind doing something like this. Trying to land it he had to try and force it to stop first, swinging around in a circle before landing it properly with the engine still running. That was a fair chore and scary too, especially when he didn’t know if he would ever be able to land it properly. He had left the hatch open, but it didn’t seem like he had the chance to consider trying to close it anyway considering how long it felt he took trying to get the vehicle. Either way, Leto was definitely the only one qualified enough to drive it when he wasn’t even 18 yet and had never had the responsibility to drive a military standard vehicle with people inside, one who was in a critical condition especially.
Kensen had every much had enough of Nymira and her insistence. She didn’t know him, all she knew him for was his race and nothing else. It was always the case with people who weren’t Dimuran, but to have another Dimuran shout at him about honour and not going back to his clan was just a bit too much for him. He had done a lot to get where he was now and if Nymira wasn’t happy with it then he was just going to have to try and ignore her without deciding to punch her in the face about it. She was straight up attacking him simply because she only slightly knew his circumstances for leaving the clan and thinking it wasn’t that bad for him to return. Just who did she think she was? His mother? Well he was old enough to not need to be told what to do so sucked to be her.

While it did make him angry, he was fine with simply walking away and letting her rage on while someone else dealt with her. It was rather disrespectful to badger the one that had saved you. He was just going to get tea for now instead of having to put up with her. Maybe if she hushed down enough he would make her tea too, but that would probably have to wait until Taliya was done talking to them anyway. They all had a lot of explaining to do considering they were attacked by someone who didn’t attack at random. Whether they were going to talk to them about it or not wasn’t his concern, but rather Taliya’s since she was in charge of this area and their progress much more than him. He may have a high ranking second to hers, but she was just stronger mentally and knew how to get her point across better than him when he was considered ‘too polite’ compared to her.

As he headed in he went to the nearby tearoom instead of going off to the front room where Taliya was likely gathering the vagabonds, there was no way that group were otherwise. They had a full camping set, several horses and a combat Machina for protection, there was no way those people were just travellers going from one place to the next like they were selling something. Maybe once that Machina of theirs was fixed up they’d be able to find out more about its purpose and whether it was an illegal model. There was combat Machinas that were fine for protecting people, but then there was some that had illegal upgrades that basically made it almost superhuman in comparison to a butler Machina. It should only take a day or something to get the Machina fixed if the mechanics were on schedule, then maybe that was done they could really hammer into them how dangerous combat Machina were. Those things could kill with incredible ease and the Church hated them, so no wonder they had gotten into trouble lately.

Once his tea was all made he flasked it up and decided to get on through into the room where the discussion was being held, waiting for it to be unlocked for him before sneaking on in. He hoped he would’ve avoided most of the discussion, but rather than coming in mid casual conversation he came in at a rather awkward point involving a Cedric. Keeping near the door he remained looking pretty calm, still in his goggles and scarf combo hiding his expression. Well this had gotten awkward real quick and it was up to the newcomers to explain themselves and whether this was just a regular Cedric, only that it definitely wasn’t. Looking to Taliya momentarily he slowly turned away to leave only to be caught out by her and asked to remain. Sighing lightly he wandered over close to her, lightly jumping up onto a storage crate himself as if the wind carried him and sat cross-legged. Maybe he should’ve brought some tea for Taliya too, but with the doors locked after he entered again it would just be too awkward asking the guards to open them once more.

“Guess I am stuck here…with them…” he sighed, “…Talking about all of this…” He really didn’t want to be here right now when it concerned Cedric. No doubt once they were told the kid was going to flip his lid then they’ll have to control him and it would just be an overall bad time for onlookers. It definitely didn’t make him happy, but knowing as much as he did it was only right for him to be here. Pulling down his scarf a little he simply sighed heavily, leaning back a little. “How much of Cedric did you know exactly? How old are you even to be wandering across the land looking for him? With a combat Machina, no less. Did Cedric give it to you? How long ago did you last see him? It’s kind of important we know too. He was a friend of Taliya’s, you see…”
Sounds pretty good to me! If Kalamadea is still all for remaining in the RP, maybe he can chatter with Demoko in the hideaway?
Viral could tell Yumi was upset, it was hard not to notice it in her voice as she desperately tried to help him. He didn’t want to make her cry, he just did what he thought was right which was save her and the other from further harm. She shouldn’t be mourning him at all, he was needed anything but being mourned right now when it was his stupid decisions that got him in this mess in the first place. He didn’t kill those Elites fast enough. He could had destroyed them in one blast but instead decided to play around with them to challenge their strength. He knew he wasn’t completely at fault, he wasn’t fully in control when he was transformed. He shouldn’t be making excuses for himself though, it was his fault for letting his mind give into madness. Everyone expected him to be strong in mind, will and body, but there was too many times when he was feeble and weak willed. If he hadn’t been awoken by Yumi’s desperate attempts to revive him he would’ve preferred to remain unconscious so he couldn’t shame himself by living in this sorry state.

As he was gradually moved as Yumi almost pointlessly wrapped up his injuries he barely gave a reaction, his eyes still unable to focus on anything and his body almost ragdoll-like. He was just incredibly weak, he couldn’t move on his own accord right now. Hearing Yumi plead with him to hold on had him it sounded as if she also believed that he was going to die, his body possibly looking a lot worse than he could feel. Maybe he really looked closer to death than he thought, but it wasn’t something he could feel out for himself. He was completely overcome with pain and weakness, feeling completely tired and unable to breathe properly. He couldn’t die here, not like this. “I…am not…d-dying to a Saiyan…!” he growled as he tried to move but soon found himself choking on blood momentarily. He wasn’t healing properly at all, his energy had been near drained in his attempt to save the others. He just couldn’t, it would be a death without honour and in front of Yumi too. He was incredibly weak, he couldn’t do this to her. “…H-He…should’ve been dead faster…I…should had k-killed him faster…”

The twins could only really look on, neither of them were trained in first aid and Yumi seemed to be the most qualified as she tried to help the Beastman. It was awful, there was nothing they could really do. With Choi offering his top for extra bandages that was all he could really do to help, but otherwise he had no idea. Looking between each other Kai soon turned around to look and see if Kabocha was coming back soon, the time they had not exactly being particularly large as both Viral and Yumi seemed distressed. Frowning, he looked elsewhere until his name was mentioned he turned around and looked to Yumi again. Looking to his brother he soon quickly threw his hand up before backing up. “I’ll try and find the others. They should be on the outskirts”. He wasn’t as fast as Kabocha and it was very likely that he would be back before a shuttle was found, but hopefully Viral’s state would be slightly better by the time he got back. Flying off with what little Ki he had he began to search for a shuttle or for someone who could get them one, whatever came first.

Choi let out a sigh, raising his shoulders momentarily before looking back to Yumi. He thought Viral was good at healing terrible injuries, but right now it barely looked like anything was happening. He was still bleeding and spitting up blood, not to mention his eyes were barely open. Yumi would need medical attention too, she barely looked like she could help him if it wasn’t for the fact that he was in such a bad state. “Uhh, Kabocha shouldn’t be long…I-I mean, there should be some medics around…even if parts of the city was destroyed…” Looking back, he did kind of wonder how many had died because of Viral’s attacks. If Viral was still alive by the time they got back there was no doubt he would be in some measure of trouble with Korian. The guy certainly preferred disciplined warriors over wild cards and there was no doubt that Viral was incredibly unpredictable and destructive. This was pretty bad, there had to be something he could do to help. “Uhhh…you shouldn’t move him too much. A shockwave like that would cause some pretty bad ruptures…”
The twins had managed to beat their opponent into submission, there was nothing else they could do without outright killing the guy; however, after the blasts in the centre of the city it was probably very difficult to justify the continued fighting when it was inevitable that their opponent had already lost. Without their commanders they were as good as abandoned and might as well just give up or fully retreat. It wasn’t all easy though, they had received their fair share of the beating but were still able to move and would find treatment later. They were pure-blooded Saiyans, a little pain wasn’t going to stop them. There were other concerns that wasn’t their state of being and whether there was more enemies, though.

The battle in the city had been at full rage and parts of the city was being destroyed by beams that sucked the colour out of the sky that gave off an odd heat, certainly an attack someone like Viral would do. It was a little disturbing to say the least, he was taking out large chunks of the city too. They had to get down there and see what was going on as soon as possible, it was definitely pretty awful watching it from afar. With their own battle over they abandoned the beaten unconscious warrior, racing over as fast as they were able to manage to the battlefield with Kabocha close by. They probably should’ve kept their distance, it was probably a bad idea to go to the source of the beams and soon enough they were told loud and clear that it was definitely a bad decision.

An explosion was going off, a Ki explosion specifically being used in what seemed to be a last resort. They were going to get caught in the explosion, or so they would’ve if it wasn’t being forcefully contained by what looked like a shield of some sorts. The shield contained the explosion just by a margin, but sure enough the shield ended up popping and a strong shockwave followed causing them to spin briefly in the air before catching themselves. Whatever that was hopefully spelled the end of the battle, but something wasn’t right. As they all made it to ground zero the trail of dust and blood was probably the most notable thing after the shockwave and probably the most alarming, especially when one of their own was nowhere in sight after that. Kabocha went down to see to Yumi who seemed to be struggling to get somewhere, but once Leto arrived and spotted what was wrong it became obvious that behind the pile lay one of their own rather than a Saiyan crony.

This was bad, they were all the way out on their own and would have to call out for help and wait for it to arrive from somewhere, probably up in the atmosphere still. Seeing that it was Viral was even worse too, he was supposed to be incredibly durable but here he was looking like he was on the verge of death. Choi was especially worried, his attention being mostly on Yumi as she was helped over by Kabocha. They didn’t have supplies, they couldn’t transfer Ki either since the commander couldn’t harness it in the first place. Watching Kabocha rush off they remained, knowing they weren’t as fast as Kabocha was when it came to flight. Looking between each other briefly Choi soon began to remove what was left of his armour and shirt, handing it to Yumi since she probably would panic if she couldn’t find more cloth to bind his wounds.

Viral was in quite the state, his body only just managing to hold itself together after such an explosion. He had used as much of his energy as he possibly could to prevent that blast from expanding while trying to keep his defences high, but it wasn’t enough. His body was completely limp as he bled from open wounds, his nose and mouth appearing as if he might already be gone; thankfully, his laboured breathing said otherwise. Staring out into nothing he heard nothing but a bass noise as things were shifted and voices spoke out, his senses failing him and causing him to remain unresponsive. Everything was dark, he was feeling cold and the pain everywhere was growing numb. He had managed to prevent the explosion, but he had ruined himself and had now placed himself in a critical state. Everything felt lost to him, at least until he could make out the voices near him.

One was Yumi, the others were too far away for him to be able to hear properly. It was starting to come back to him somewhat now, he just couldn’t make much sense of it. He could feel her touching his wounds, trying to hastily tend to him. He didn’t think she would be conscious, in fact he didn’t actually know how much time had passed since the explosion. Hearing her voice again but with a lot of distortion he soon watched as the dark slowly faded, the sight of the ground and his blood starting to come to but his field of view remaining minimal. “…I…still live…” he muttered, finding it difficult to talk, “I-I can’t…see much…” It felt like his lungs had been punctured or his ribcage had broken, or maybe it was the blood that was sullying his breathing. He knew he was pretty broken, but he couldn’t tell to what extent or even if he was going to be able to last. “Y-Yumi I-…sorry…I was reckless…”
Viral saw no reason to keep this creature alive any longer if it couldn’t do anything other than spout insults that felt empty and panicked most of the time, his patience worn as thin as it could get. He was always going to be insulted as if it was going to get to him no matter his form, that was his entire life and all he could remember so it getting to him was simply turning the whole thought into an absolute confirmation. There was never a positive aimed at him, or at least he never noticed them if they ever happened so embracing it made it easier to fight rather than allowing it to destroy him. This Elite was just being desperate at this point and it was time for him to die as his use had since past; he was unable to kill him even in desperation mode, his form was too strong for him. Deciding his fate he blasted out a sun beam, continuing the blast until there was nothing left of the Elite he cut it off, his energy still dropping rapidly even with the sun blaring in the sky. Hissing lowly, he slowly stepped away from his spot, ending with a snort as he turned his attention to the remaining evil.

This Saiyan was about beaten, it should be easy to take care of him. Hissing, he turned towards him before slowly moving towards him, using the Saiyan’s hesitation to gather energy again. There was nothing stopping him now, he was as good as dead. Approaching the Saiyan again he growled as he just decided to run his mouth again with empty threats, or at least he thought they were empty. Not understanding what he was talking about at first he hesitated for a moment before he started to notice the energy building up. There was no way this man was actually doing this, it was building up to be a last resort that could destroy everything surrounding it. Snarling, his instincts told him to retreat as far as he could and shield himself, but that tiny spark of humanity inside him reminded Viral that the others were still close by, Yumi especially. With no real window to try and grab everyone for a retreat he snarled and raced forward. ”You’re taking nothing with your miserable soul!!” There wasn’t much he could do other than try to limit the explosion as best he could, he had the energy and hopefully the durability to at least try. Leaping straight at the Saiyan he made a grab for the source, immediately raising one of his shields to surround himself and the Saiyan before the Ki erupted. The shield expanded from the sheer amount of energy he was trying to contain as his transformed state fought to keep him from being torn apart. It was all he could do to prevent massive damage to anyone. As his body fought to stay transformed and together he roared in pain, his feet scraping across the rapidly crumbling ground still within the shield before there was a loud shatter that rang above the explosion. The remainder of the explosion ended up exploding in a shockwave and Viral was unable to do anything about it as he was sent flying with it, his form dissipating in a cloud of his own energy and blood as he was blasted away with no means of resistance, crashing through debris before finally coming to a halt as a solid wall stopped his unwilling trip.
