Bio

Hi, I'm Monster, but you can also call me Katie if you'd like! I'm a huge video game geek who loves to write. I've been writing on forums for a few years now. If you ever want to talk, just send me a PM and I'd be glad to chat you up. I am currently on a major D&D kick, so I guess that's spurring me back into this site after such a long and much-needed break). :D

I'm a complete sucker for apocalyptic, fantasy and sci-fi roleplays. Anything that tests limits and provides MAJOR character development. That's some good ish.

Please Revise

Hi there Whirlwind!
After discussing with my Co-Gm, we've both come to agree that your CS is not quite ready to be accepted. I will have what we need fixed below for you.

I'm greatly interested, primarily because I'm 'working on' my own 'heros protecting a city' RP idea and I'm hoping this would help me with some ideas. I'll wait to see some more characters before I make mine, if I make mine. One way or another, I'll be watching this RP. PS, by 'working on' I mean procrastinating...That aside, I've got a couple of questions.

1. I hope to have about fourteen player involved, seven per team. However, if the original members do not respond, they will be booted, and their spots will be open. The reason I want fourteen eligible people is to apply them to missions with a diversity in play, and a full team. I expect that some people may not be able to join the mission that they wish to, as it is first come first serve. This is only applied when not in an actual story mission. Story missions will be including the full team - and will still have the normal team split, but this time, all players will be working together to further the story.

2. The character's I'm not allowing fall into the basic fantasy genre category. Examples include: Elves, Ogres, Knights, Dragon/People, etc... This role-play is a modern sci-fi hero based story-line, therefore I'm not allowing anything that is too out of place for the sci-fi experience.

ALSO: I am looking over character sheets now, I'll get back to all of you as soon as I'm done.

Hmmm, I have a vague idea right now but just want to check to see if it would be okay before I start planning it out more in-depth: would a fully robotic character be okay? As in artificial intelligence and all that? I don't plan to make them some know-all supercomputer or anything, probably something a bit more childlike in terms of personality, but yeah.

Yes, AI's are available to players. However, I'm only allowing two in the rp. So, if you'd like you can do so. Seeing as Pathfinder has the other. I do have a cap on all player abilities, and OC'ing has been a reoccurring problem in many hero rp's, hence my stat addition when it comes to players power abilities.

Seeing the actual RP, interest rescinded.

Okay, thank you for your time.
Okay, thank you for letting me know. The stats are just so I can keep track of the players after each mission. When the story hits any climatic shift, the stats will tell me how each important scene will play out. The stats are more for me to keep track of, but I wanted to play it out like a fun experiment for those who took part in the story.

I'm sad to see an interest go, but I will keep this in mind. I thank you again for your input, VitaVitaAR.
Law enforcement will react to you based on how you/your character is throughout the roleplay. For the most part, they will be under direct line of the mayor, who you will soon find is not very...fond of powered people. You will be a member within the registered squad of heroes, but until you are of a sufficient legend level - no-one will particularly care about what your character is doing, unless they make a mistake. It all depends on where your legend level is.

Robotic prosthetic's are completely alright. As it does take place in 2048, there will be some technological advancements - nothing too severe, but seeing as robotic prosthetic's are already into play as of now, I see no problem with them.

Probably! Provided that we don't end up with a billion characters. That's always a bit unwieldy.

I do have a cap on the roleplay, there will be two separate teams/groups. Each will be assigned, and possibly switched throughout the roleplay to keep things even. It depends on who wants to take on a certain mission.
I'm glad I was able to capture each of your interests, the roleplay is up as of now. Keep in mind, it is in it's early stages, and will be updated. Here is the link:

I'm somewhat interested, but I'm just wondering what kind of tone are you aiming for here? I'm just a little worried since a lot of superhero RPs tend to go the 90s antihero route, which I've never been particularly fond of. ^^; I mean it doesn't sound like it's going to go that way, but I guess I'm just a little paranoid, ahah. XDAlso, you mention technology, but I was wondering if magical/supernatural based heroes would be okay? Not that I have one in mind (I'm actually tempted to go for a fully-tech based hero but we'll see), just wanted to see how kitchen sink-y the setting is going to be I guess.

Magical/Supernatural based powers are accepted, yes. Trust me when I say that the mood will stray far from any 90's cliche. I want this roleplay to be modern, and fun for all involved. However, I do have a story-line plotted out that will have the heroes need to have some kind of development, even if that does relay a little to any type of stereotypes. When it comes to development, sometimes that is inevitable. I do hope that that does not deter you, because we do have a lot to offer. The plot has been set, but because of the "player made" rp, I also accept any plots that players have in mind, as long as they are substantial, and have something to provide the actual roleplay. I think this can provide a little more interest to the rp, seeing how easy it is to lose interest if the mood shifts, this may help.

Technology will be further explained in the OOC itself, which is still under basic construction. Though it will develop to it's intended potential after the first mission is completed. I can say, that technology in this world is definitely more welcomed than the alternative (Character Powers)
But...It is also unreliable in certain situations. It's up to the player.
