Hi, I'm Monster, but you can also call me Katie if you'd like! I'm a huge video game geek who loves to write. I've been writing on forums for a few years now. If you ever want to talk, just send me a PM and I'd be glad to chat you up. I am currently on a major D&D kick, so I guess that's spurring me back into this site after such a long and much-needed break). :D

I'm a complete sucker for apocalyptic, fantasy and sci-fi roleplays. Anything that tests limits and provides MAJOR character development. That's some good ish.

I've been unexpectedly busy, but I think I'll have some time to put up my character. I'm curious though, what kind of magic is used here? How does the general public feel about mages? My character is a Mage, so I'd like to get a little bit of background on how they're thought on.
I'm interested. I'll get to working on a CS. It should be up sometime tomorrow, as it is quite late where I am.
_With a resigned sigh, Mira leaned back and away from the sleeping Angel. What she wouldn't give to sleep like that right about now. Looking over her shoulder, the fiery red haired woman spotted both Geoff and Daemon both busily working on fortification, neither speaking to each other. The camp was eerily silent. Stretching out her legs, Mira turned her attention to her helmet, still neatly placed on the ground. The golden lens stared back at her, whispering promise of adventure and hardship. Softly humming, she lifted the helmet and easily propped it over her head, once more fitting the metal over her head and locking it into place with a 'click'._ _Just after she put her helmet on, she heard call out to her. Lifting her head, she took in the presence of the blue armored Geoff. He stood tall, yet clearly had a burden on his shoulders, something was bugging him - more so than the crash. She quickly glanced at Angel before returning her full attention back to Geoff, standing to meet him face to face. Or, helmet to helmet. Nodding with understanding, she pursed her lips. "All of our rations were in the Pelican, but maybe....The escape pods might have some minor rations in them. They won't last long, but their something." She placed a gloved hand on her helmet in thought. "Or...We could try hunting in the area. I'm pretty sure that we could eat some of the creatures here. Some of them, anyway." Mira dropped her hand back to her side, looking to Geoff for his opinion. She might be leader, but she always took what her squad thought to heart._ Daegon, who was still gathering and strategically placing large sticks and semi-logs, looked up. He too, was starving. The pain in his side wasn't helped with all of the lifting he was doing either. He considered asking for medical attention earlier, but figured Angel definitely needed the aid more so then he. By now, Mira was most likely too tired to address his wounds properly. He was still surprised that a woman would be chosen to lead a mission so important, but decided against questioning it. If she was strong enough to go on with an artificial leg, he could gather that she could face any foe now, without backing down. Though, that wasn't always a good thing. He turned his deep brown gaze to Angel, sleeping peacefully, now that she had been healed. He studied her face for some time before turning and continuing to pile on twigs, branches, and some of the larger logs he could find - using his size to his advantage.
![Wilderness of The Ring](http://slashleyluke.files.wordpress.com/2013/03/halo4_concept_2002_2.jpg "Lost to the Jungle") _Traipsing through the green that swallowed her every side, Mira scanned her surroundings with fervor. She hadn't been incapacitated during her crash landing, but there was no telling how badly the others' could be. Spartans or no, falling over hundreds of feet into enemy territory is not a battle easily won. With great care, she checked over her prosthetic leg, ensuring that it's joints had also survived the fall; If not, she would be royally screwed. Hobbling with one leg didn't sound like it would be pleasant by itself - add that to the threat of the Covenant, and the possibility of being all alone up here... Yeah, that didn't sound good at all. A few seconds into stretching the joints of her cyborg-esque leg, Mira stilled as stiff as the tree next to her. Was that -_ _Though it was incredibly choppy, she managed to make out: "...lead? Geoff...is...repeat," Hearing that might as well as been hearing an Angelic voice singing down "Hallelujah". Someone was alive. Geoff. Though he had sounded distressed. That wasn't good. Fiddling with her helmet to try and adjust the mic as best she could, Mira directed the signal over to his COM specifically, hoping that would help with the frequency problems, if even a little._ _"Geoff? This is Squad Lead, I've heard you. I'm going to try and locate you through the COM transmission on my tech. Please stay way you are in the meanwhile, make sure to get to cover if you can." Hopefully the message would reach, if not, well... She was going to have to just deal with having to track a moving target, so be it. Huffing out a small puff of air, Mira reached back to her helmet, fiddling with the comlink. If the voice could transmit...Then with some work in the system, the location should be able to as well.. If that failed, she could always ask; "Which tree are you next to?" Rolling her eyes, she pursed her lips and began on her work. This would take awhile._ --- Light. Too much light... Pain, it hugged the man with a vice grip, whispering sweet nothings into his head as he struggled to wake. Everything that could ache screamed at him, begging him to remain still for as long as he would live. Which - based on pain's loving embrace, wasn't long. "...urg....dammit..." What was meant to be loud and vulgar, a show of his bravado, came out no more than a simple whimper into the abyss of endless forest. Well, at least it was a pretty place to die. Not real - but pretty nonetheless. As the wounded red Spartan prepared to close his eyes and bask in the knowledge that his last mission had been a wasted one. What a pity, he would've loved to smash a few alien skulls with his fists. Hell, he wasn't called the 'Red Dragon' for nothing. In fact, him laying here was pretty pathetic. Damn, this wasn't him at all. What was he doing? He was the Tank, it was his job to take the brunt of the hits in order to protect the squad. This was as pathetic as his drinking contest last year, and that was horrid. "..ooohkayy..letsee if I can...urgh..get on...up" He grumbled out as his body rolled over on the grass, armored hands bracing against the jungle floor and pushing off, lifting the Red Dragon from his death, lifting him to the sky. His body roared with pain, and it took all of the warriors resolve for him to fully stand. Well, by stand, it was more of leaning against the nearest tree. With a wince and a clench of the jaw, the Red Dragon gathered all of his remaining determination and spirit, balling it up inside. He'd need it if he were to find those he had landed with. With a final grunt, he pushed himself away from the base of the tree he had used for steadying, and toward the brush of what looked to be a clearing out of the undergrowth. Perhaps someone had landed there - if so, it would definitely be easier to track them. With a resigned sigh, Daegon crouched low to the jungle floor, clenching his fists at his sides. He had been scouring the surrounding area for some time now, with no results. His mighty resolve had nearly vanished until he heard it. The SOSAI on his comlink. It was clear and vibrant, as his body had taken the brunt of the fall, his comlink seemed to be intact. He hadn't heard any signs of life over the COM's yet, and though that disturbed him, he figured he'd wait until hearing something until blindly sending out a signal. But this - The AI was alright. The knowledge that their partner was alright sent relief flooding over him, washing away his pain as it went. As Daegon stood and began to follow the signal back to it's strongest point, undoubtedly where it originated from, he perked up his head. _Cruuunch_ Spinning around and lifting his rifle to face the noise, he stopped and stood rigid. "C-commander?" Dropping his weapon, he moved to a full salute. "Daegon, your Red Dragon, reporting status: Wounded, but fully capable for battle." The sight in front of him was gloriously stunning. It made his breath hitch. The white Spartan armor seemed to gleam gold against the light emerging from the canopy of the jungle. In that moment, time seemed to stand still. Remaining with his hand on the face of his helmet, fully in salute, Daegon waited for the nod of his Commander to rest at ease. **"At ease, soldier. I assume that you've also gotten the distress call?"** She tilted her helmet, sheathing her pistol, which lay in wait on her hip. Her voice was silky and soft, but one that carried a resonance of leadership and confidence, despite what had happened. He could respect that. Nodding solemnly, he stepped closer to the comforting presence of his team leader. "Yes, I did. I was going to investigate after I checked this area for survivors...I-I didn't find any." Upon seeing his leader duck her head, he quickly added, "They probably went on to investigate too!" **"Probably."** She raised her head and straightened herself before heading onward, waving for Daegon to follow. **"In any case, we need to check it out. However, I also was able to pick up something from Geoff. It appears that he is alive, though I can't tell in what condition. He sounded deeply distressed through the little I heard on the Comlink."** With that said, she headed off into the jungle, not bothering to look behind her. Daegon followed without question, glad to once again be reunited with his leader. The view was nice, too. --- _It had taken them some time, but they soon arrived to find both Geoff and a body haphazardly strung over his shoulder. Mira gasped at the sight. Despite having seen many dead, wounded, and otherwise horrid looking wounds in her time, she had spoke to Angel quite a few times on the platform back at base. They weren't friends per se, but they were on good terms. Daegon watched silently as Mira dashed forward, following with his thundering steps._ _Mira could tell they didn't have a lot of time left to fix up Angel, in fact, judging on her heart monitor, she was badly beat up. "I need you to lay her down for me, Geoff. Be careful to lay her flat, afterwards, please give me some space." She'd luckily had some med training, not enough to fully heal Angel, especially not without the right equipment, but with what the jungle provided...Maybe it would be enough. Looking over her shoulder, Mira scanned the trees around them, sighing with relief when she found what she was looking for._ _"Daegon, can you fetch me that large purple-like leaf? It will provide a good cover for wounds. Next to it is a reed that will give me some salve for staving off infection and closing the wound. It'll be painful, but it's all we have to work with." Most of the plants here were unrecognizable to her, but with some background here on the ring, she could at least manage to get this for Angel. Daegon returned shortly after, both the freshly cut leaves and reeds cradled in his arms. With a nod of gratitude, Mira turned back to Angel, removing both her and Angel's helmet before starting her medical evaluation. Concern filled her features when she pressed her two fore-fingers softly against Angel's neck, feeling for her pulse - faint, but there nonetheless. Leaning down to look directly at eyes, she carefully opened each one, staring intently into the iris for the proper reaction as she would block light with her hand, then return it by pulling it away._ --- ![How the camp looks at night](http://titanfallintel.com/wp-content/gallery/titanfall-screenshots/titanfall_concept_3.jpg "Campsite") _It had taken quite some time to fully bandage Angel, though Mira was exhausted, she refused to leave her squad-mate's side, checking over her progress every now and then. In the meantime, she had ordered both Daegon and Geoff into fortifying the area, making a small base camp for each of them to heal up before moving on. Tomorrow, when Angel would presumably be well enough to walk - with support, then they would head out and investigate the signal from their AI companion, looking for the other's along the way. Looking up towards the sky, Mira hummed low, watching as the dark sky gleamed every now and then with a beautiful mosaic of stars. Turning her attention back down to Angel, Mira carefully brushed some of the hair from her companion's face. Damn, today was one hell of a day._
Um... Thank you, Disciple..?

The first mission post is going to be up tomorrow, I'm almost done with it today, but just in case I can't sit all the way through, I'll leave it to tomorrow. It's a little lengthy, but for good reason.

I hope that everyone else is feeling okay.
The ground was fast approaching, wind whipping sharply against the metal of Mira's armor. This was it. Bringing her arms close to her body, she dove like a swan, flowing freely through the air towards certain death; to any other human, that is. She, was a spartan. There was no way in hell she would allow herself to die here, before the mission could even begin. Drawing in a sharp breath, she spun in the air, flames from space licking at her suit, begging to singe the light skin that lay underneath.

Passing through the dark clouds, and bursting into the atmosphere, Mira clenched her jaw tightly. As much as she'd have liked to check on those behind her, she couldn't risk turning her head without the possibility of her whole weight transferring over, the other's were as alone as she was, in a state of free fall. The black of the abyss sky painted itself into green, forming a treeline and growing a seemingly impossible world. They were entering the ring.
She had landed only about three minutes prior. It had taken about a full minute to recover from the shock of the landing, as she had roughly crashed against the side of a hill. That kind of thing can do things to a person. Shaking her head, and thanking whatever god there was for her sturdy armor, Mira hobbled off in search of the other recruits. Hopefully she wouldn't have to search too far. Clicking on her mic, which had been damaged during the crash, she fought through the static trying to catch any sign of life from her team.
@Pathfinder: Thank you for letting me know. I wish you luck with your computer!
Fingers woven securely together, knotting both of her hands into fists, the slender woman drew in her bottom lip and let her teeth glide over the supple surface, grinding out the last of her agitation. She had to sedate any belligerence that was pent up, ready to flood from her mouth in a frenzied storm. Her mind traveled frequently back and forth - in constant debate over what she could, and could not focus her thoughts on. Sam huffed out a warm breath of air, reluctantly uncurling her fingers. Today, there was no room for her quips - she was strictly on the job. Her eyes had flickered up, flaming like a candle in the moonlight, locking onto the two forms that trudged through the room first.

Skylar, and his friend, Evan. One seemed rather perky, and the other....well, definitely not a morning person. Tilting her head in acknowledgment, Sam leaned back against the wall opposite them - away from where the others would gather, no doubt near the entryway. She was taken by surprise when Evan spoke to her, most especially the kind words that spilled out from him. She'd stared blankly at him for about two heartbeats before replying, in a distant monotone, a quick "I did, thank you." The words squeezed out from deep within, awkward coming from her. The taste of those words were so different, she had absently swiped a tongue over her lips to cleanse them of the memory.

Not too long afterward, the room was cast in a chill, and long before her breath had begun to hang in the air, the demon braced herself for the figure to approach. Crisp and cold, the air nipped at her skin, causing the hair at the nape of her neck to lift slightly, as if ready to detach from their chilled home. Frostbite strode into the room, his large form imposing, demanding attention, if at least for a fleeting glance. Sam returned his dutiful nod with a respectable one of her own. In truth, she didn't trust the mercenary-esque man, he was a sword for hire when it came down to it. He was like her, in a sense. Moving her fiery gaze along, she trailed it to Axle - whom was busying himself in a slightly one-sided conversation with Frostbite. Glancing to the clock, she brought her lips together in a frown. The team wasn't doing well on keeping with the time.

Bladewolf had also joined the group, taking up a sitting position near the table. "Hello, good morning to you as well." Her eyes darkened, "At least I hope," She noted a motion near the door - another person. "Considering, I'll need you all to be at your best." She was surprised to hear herself speak like this, it wasn't like she cared at all about them. This was all strictly business. Quickly, to amend her statement, she added: "I don't want to have to drag back corpses, is all."
The demon found herself looking toward the source of the latest flurry of motion, silent against the wall. She had distanced herself from Frostbite, as well as the others, hiding her hands behind her. Aaelith let her eyes bore into the girl, the flames from earlier flickering once more. No emotion crossed her already distant face, rather she offered yet another tilt of her head, holding it and looking up at the new arrival from behind her lashes. "Welcome, we'll be going over the briefing shortly... If the other's would get here, that is.." She muttered the last bit of her sentence, raising her head and once more biting her bottom lip, deep in concentration. Aaelith lifted an army-boot clad foot, placing it up against the wall of flashing electronics behind her. Today was off to a great start.
@Dragonydas: If you can get a post up, that would be lovely. Thank you for letting me know about the situation, it will be taken into consideration.

I've realized something Axle is a smart ass, like Spiderman where Ralph is like Deadpool, correct?

I guess so - I'd never truly put too much thought into this. I'm assuming this is directed to Yog, but I can affirm that the duo seem to be quite the pair. (i ship it) Just kidding, but yeah, they seem like they would be good friends.
